    I lost my wife a month ago. I saw her pass away in my arms and eventually my hands. When I saw her after she was pronounced... I waved my hands over her body in the hospital and I natural said we are forever eternally together, may we be one with the great spirit. I miss her so much but I’m so enticed about the afterlife and the next world. I’m not afraid anymore

      I am so sorry for the loss of your wife. I can feel in your words your devotion to her. It sounds like, in this grieving period, learning about the afterlife is a salve for your spirit, as it is a salve for mine and many others! You may find something useful in this quote which buoys my own spirit!
      From Swedenborg's book, Heaven and Hell #445: “When someone’s body can no longer perform its functions in the natural world in response to the thoughts and affections of its spirit (which it derives from the spiritual world), then we say that the individual has died. This happens when the lungs’ breathing and the heart’s systolic motion have ceased. The person, though, has not died at all. We are only separated from the physical nature that was useful to us in the world. The essential person is actually still alive. I say that the essential person is still alive because we are not people because of our bodies but because of our spirits. After all, it is the spirit within us that thinks, and thought and affection together make us the people we are. We can see, then, that when we die we simply move from one world into another."
      From our log of videos on the afterlife: "What Dying Feels Like." th-cam.com/video/W6T9CF0a5M0/w-d-xo.html

    I just lost my husband in August at the age of 48 from terminal cancer. We were soulmates here on earth and I have never felt the love that I felt for him and with him with anyone else. I can’t wait to see him again when I get to heaven. He was the best thing to ever happen to me and I am so thankful that God placed him in my life and our oldest sons life (mine from a previous marriage, but my husband adopted him) 28 1/2 years ago ❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

    Just thought I'd share this with you all...... I've recently been given a family Bible. In the back of it is the following, written by my grandmother who died over 20 years ago. "R (her husband) came to me one night about 6 months after he died, in a dream. After I saw him very distinctly I asked him where are you? He said "I am at home". I asked him have you seen Jesus? He replied "from time to time". I asked him what did you die of? He replied pains in my head".........My grandmother concluded with this following observation. "His home is in heaven. That is where I am going to meet him some day,when God calls me."

      It's remarkable how many of these encounters happen in families. Another similar encounter happened to my sister. Her father in law died a painful death. Some months after, she saw him sitting in a park he loved to go to. He was wearing the sweater which was his favourite, (knitted by his mother). He was smiling with great love & affection at her. He then disappeared. My sister had felt his passing v deeply, she was reassured. I think that if all these encounters were collected together even atheists would conclude that there's alot more to this life than meets the eye! 🙂

    My child's father is my twin flame. We met as teens and we had actual heart sparks that were energetic and felt like shocks that would go in-between our hearts. We had a very magical relationship, but because we were so young we broke up due to his cheating and immaturity. When I left him he got on hard drugs; we saw each other on and off over the years, but then I got married and didn't see him again. I didn't see him for 33 years, I felt that he was going to be passing over soon so I posted something to him on Facebook telling him I loved him. I always knew in my heart who he was and that if he died first he would come to me as soon as he could, when he was able to see his life review and awaken spiritually. He died last year, and I knew the moment of his death. He came to me 3 months later and told me that he loved me deeply and intensely and he explained that he was too immature to deal with that level of intensity when we were together. He also said that he had been sick. He said he didn't know who I was (when he was alive), but he knows now that I am his "soul love." He apologized for hurting me and he said that he sees that I am sick (I have a chronic illness) and he asked "them" if he could cross me over, when it was my time and we could be together over there, if I would have him. He said that it is my choice. He told me some personal things about his marriage, he had been separated for years when he passed, and how his broken heart over our break-up and his drug use negatively affected that marriage. My marriage, now divorced, was also affected negatively because I never loved any man like I loved my "soul love." He told me some things about the other side as well. I post this to let people know that true love never dies and that there is the opportunity to continue on with your twin on the other side, if you both choose to. I am a medium and this information comes directly from the other side. Be of good cheer...you will be with your twin or soul mate again in time.

      @@offTheLeftEye I agree with you and I said the same thing: the depth of the love we shared was equal to the depth of the pain our separation caused one another. He was a narcissist who could not see himself until he crossed. He choose the path of drug addiction to cope with our break up; I walked the path of healing and self-discovery. He was a product of some very bad parenting. Mine was not as bad (bad enough though) so I had a chance to recover. We both had parallel lives, just like they say twin flames do. His step-daughter has the same very unique name as my ex-husband's stage name. A very rare name... We both choose to be entreprenuers, we both got sick with an immune disorder around the same time. He caught HIV after I had a vision and warned him he would catch it 20 years beforehand if he didn't change his lifestyle. I got an auto-immune thyroid disease that is horrible. We both suffered with the respective illnesses for many decades. We both had long, troubled marriages that ended badly. We both fell in love with our partner's family and are close to some of them like blood. We both had two more sons. We both couldn't fully love our married partners, because we were still so in love with one another. I know his wife felt it, because my ex-husband did. These spiritual relationships are so powerful and need to be handled correctly; that is why I post my personal business to help others. When he and I were having those heart sparks, bouncing in-between our hearts we didn't know what in the world it was, we were just confused. I used to say, "Is it love?" he would just stare into my eyes and say, "I don't know." LOL. I wish I would have had the guidance of all these videos, books, articles, etc. back then. However, at that time, none of this stuff was out and talked about.
      Anyway, I know he is doing a lot of growth and healing where he is and at that time he comes to cross me I will take a look at him and know if we have a future together in the thereafter, or if we will just embrace and just be happy to see each other again.

    When I was 18, I began having a series of deeply lucid and spiritual dreams of the most beautiful man I’d ever seen. As the dream went on, we fell in love, got married, and spend time deepening our spiritual bond. I never thought these dreams could mean anything until I met a man in real life who I felt was the same one from my dreams. After being friends for years, we dated, but he got delusional and volatile and broke up with me. Every night, though, I still dream that we are married and that our love gets deeper and deeper. And while we are apart in real life, sometimes I can still feel our souls becoming one. It all makes sense with what is in this video. @@offTheLeftEyeis it possible to make plans for reinkarnation as a couple with souls who are at the other side? There is a beautifull soul near me. I know who he is /was before he comitted suicide 30years ago but in this life i never met him in person while he was alive. He did not even live in the same country. But he is so full of love, he is such a beautifull soul and i feel a strong conection with him. Is it possible for me to reincarnate together with him as a couple? I feel so much love for him and i dont know why. Maybe he is my soulmate?

      Erika, when Swedenborg talks about marriage, he's not necessarily talking about the legal marriage process we go through today - what matters most is the devotion and commitment of two soulmates, who love each other deeply and are faithful to each other. Sounds like you two had just such an relationship, meaningful and full of love!
      Swedenborg also describes people getting married IN heaven, so you have plenty of time for the particulars! You will be together again, but please don't rush out of here. Your life is meaningful, you are so loved, and if you are here you must have something only you can offer to this crazy world! Blessings to you during this very difficult time, and so sorry for your loss. Grief is a hard process, and we send you love through this journey!

      I lost my soulmate 23 years ago, we never married either. We were together for 10 years and have twin daughters together and now 2 grandsons. I’ve since married & had a son however 5 years ago I could FEEL MY SOULMATE AROUND ME (so hard to describe it’s just a feeling, an AMAZING feeling, a KNOWING) So naturally I start to wonder why? Well 4&1/2 years ago I also lost one of our twin daughters (the mother of our grandsons) I now KNOW he came to comfort, love, guide, protect & see me through what he knew would be the absolute WORST TIME in my life aside from losing him. He knew before I did that our daughter was going to pass. Ever since then he has never left, he’s always here, to my right side, every single day. I tell you this because I’m trying to let you know that your soulmate MOST DEFINITELY IS RIGHT THERE WITH YOU, your souls are LITERALLY intertwined, becoming one and you CAN CONNECT WITH HIM/HER ANYTIME you want/need to. Talk to them, they will send you signs but you HAVE TO be open to it, invite them to come and talk to you because they CAN AND DO!!!!!! I hope you find this comment & saves your heart the decades of unbearable pain. 🙏♥️

      Thank you for sharing your story, it brings me hope as I too experienced the transition of my soulmate last June, he left very unexpectedly and sudden at a young age. I feel him here with me and I know we will be reunited when I cross. It’s still so very difficult to not have the same intimacy both physically and emotionally as we once did. Trying to navigate this new experience is at times an immense challenge. Naturally, I miss him as he was and I do appreciate that he stays beside me.

      I was married twice, but neither one really loved me. At 71 I realize that I never got the opportunity to know what real love felt like. I could not feel the respect and trust that adds the most beautiful dimension of love. We had an old friend of the family - my brother’s friend. He would come to visit my brother, but somehow over the last couple of years this old friend and I became close. One day we discovered that we loved each other. I have never felt anything close to what I feel for him. He proposed, but we could not marry because he became so ill that his children put him in assisted living in another town. We talk by phone, but over the months it has become apparent that his health is declining and he will be gone someday soon. I feel like after 71 years, he was my soul mate. I cannot get over him. The thought that we could be together again in Heaven means the world to me.

Donnette has now gone on to join her husband, but we are deeply grateful we got her on film a few times, to share her hopeful message with others who have lost their partners.
      And yes, Marriage Love and Conjugial Love are just different translations of the same Latin title. I wish for you that that thought will stop troubling your mind, fergal farrelly. The way Swedenborg describes it, we all return to the vitality of youth in the afterlife. @@offTheLeftEye that's a cool thought, but kinda scary too. We didn't meet until our 40s. I believe it was that way so we could let life experiences mature our thoughts & feelings. Based on our younger experiences & outlooks in life I'm not sure we would have ready for each other during those more "vital" years. He lovingly teased me I had been like the ugly duckling, late to bloom. But he assured me I was the one he wanted to grow old with. However, God had other plans .... my husband's youthful wildness & a congenital disorder caused him to go Home before we got old & gray.

    I met my husband at age 53/4 years. I knew that he was going to be my husband. I never saw him after age 8. But when I turned 21 I was driven to find him. Against all odds I did find him. And we began writing to each other. I always knew when there was a letter from him before I got my mail. We were married and had 5 wonderful years. Then ended up separated and divorced. But never quit loving each other. Then last year after never hearing from him for 20+ years he made contact. We spoke every day and I went and spent his last weeks with him. We renewed our vows. He died but I feel him with me all the time. I know we are soul mates that we will be together.

I do have a question - do you have any material that touches on LGBTQ love? I am an engaged lesbian and so many sources I have found seem to disqualify this type of love even though I know in my heart it is the realest and most profound thing I have ever experienced. I would love to hear any thoughts. Thank you so much for your time!

      @offTheLeftEye  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Taylor -- We're happy to know that our channel has felt meaningful and helpful for you! The mission of our channel is to share the spiritual experiences and writings of Emanuel Swedenborg in the mid-1700s. Though he wrote most directly about heterosexual marriages, we can apply so much of what he wrote about to relationships of any kind. What he always comes back to is the fact that true love is about turning away from our own selfish concerns and desires that would be hurtful or harmful to others, and turning towards a desire to be loving and kind and helpful. Trying to be the best PERSON we can be (spiritually) makes us the best PARTNER we can be, AND sets us on the path toward heaven.
      Here's a Q&A panel show we did a while back that responds to a question about same-sex marriage -- I think it's cued up to the very spot in this link: th-cam.com/video/Q9vyvxOL3tc/w-d-xo.html
      Here's a full-length video called Spiritual Marriage -- th-cam.com/users/liveK7Nyz6EvR18

    In the afterlife we still seek a mate? When are we ever whole? What’s the point of marriage in the afterlife?

    • @offTheLeftEye
      @offTheLeftEye  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      According to what Swedenborg learned, monica, marriage is a reflection of the union of the divine Love and divine Wisdom in God. It is a "correspondence" that is reflected in all of reality. In addition, that correspondence is active within each human spirit, in the effort to join our will and our understanding (or love and wisdom on the human level) so that we are a person of integrity, in God's image. So there's a growing wholeness in the individual to eternity (no one but God is ever perfect), AND a deepening partnership between couples. And though we don't have babies in the other life, couples do produce "spiritual offspring" -- manifestations of goodness and truth that serve the community..... That's my understanding of how Swedenborg presents it, anyway!

I know my own life hasn't turned out the way I thought it would. In Swedenborg's view, our feelings of loss are valid but not permanent -- thank you, God! Love has not been kind to me on earth. When I got saved last year and poured all into God my husband was not on board, teased me relentlessly and left. I have continued to pray for him daily. Yet in all this I didn’t become bitter. I have longed to know the Aeros love of another and to be loved like Christ loves the church and daily in my walk with the Lord am growing to love in the same way back. Until these videos I thought I just had a wild imagination, but Jesus has recently shown me what He will restore in heaven what the cankerworm has eaten. He is the perfect “matchmaker” and knows every one of our longings and desires. He knows us better than we know ourselves and I believe we will constantly be in awe of how perfect the one is He has for us there. We can’t even imagine how incredible the things are He has in store for us. And in that, has made getting through this season in my life so much less painful.

    I feel that you may concentrate on the deceased loved one and your reconnection with them and miss out on another relationship that was there to help you learn and progress. The next relationship could actually be your soul mate.. If you believe in reincarnation to learn and grow ( what do we learn in one lifetime ) then your soulmate may be someone else on the other-side, so to speak. You may concentrate all your energy on your deceased loved one and they were meant for someone else. I, therefore, think we should just try to be the best person you can be to all other people and creatures and trust God with guiding you on the right path.

      Thanks for sharing your perspective, Camille. Seems to me that God guides some people to wait for the reunion with their deceased partner, and others to find another partner in this life. Every situation is unique, and indeed God is in the details!

    • @offTheLeftEye

      I don't now how common it is, Edie. Swedenborg, who witnessed these scenarios in the afterlife in his spiritual experiences, didn't give percentages. But in his day, Swedenborg wrote that most marriages were based on very worldly circumstances (geography, family, social class, economic level), so that implies some acknowledgment that many marriages were not true spiritual unions. Participating in and working on one's marriage, trying to be the best possible partner and the best we can be, will serve our eternal life no matter what, seems to me.

    You should do one on singles finding their soulmate and have an I’m tired of hearing about married couples on earth we need to be represented too

    • @offTheLeftEye
      @offTheLeftEye  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mark! I'm sorry you don't feel represented here! The truth is, Swedenborg doesn't say much about being single, or about dating, here or in the afterlife! He focuses instead on marriage in the afterlife, and how that could meaningful for our relationships here.
      Recall that Swedenborg himself was a bachelor, and never married in this life. He does say, and we try to stress this in our episodes on the subject, that whether we marry or not in this life, we can always be working to create a foundation for healthy marriage, by working on ourselves. This is through spiritual growth, loving and useful service, and faith to God. If we practice a lifestyle like that, our open hearts and minds create a space for a partner to be in whether in this life or the next!
      The only thing Swedenborg says for sure, is that we will be married in heaven, and we will find our soulmates. Not everyone who marries on earth finds their soulmates. Though marriages are much better today than they were in Swedenborg's day, they still are very challenging and not always fulfilling. But even a marriage of equals, who respect and care for each other, can be rewarding whether it's a soulmate match or not. The same is true if we don't marry, since there are many ways to enrich our relationships and be loving to others no matter our marital status.
      I saw a quote from Ram Dass recently that really struck me - "The best thing I can do for you is work on myself, and the best thing you can do for me is work on yourself!" It's simple spiritual truth, and it applies to all of us, and I have found it very helpful as a mantra to just focus on controlling what I can (my behavior, my reactions, my contentment) and let go of what I can't - and know that the Lord is in charge.
      I have no doubt that God loves you, that your soulmate is out there, and that things will work out as they are meant to. I wish I had more advice to offer you! God bless, Mark, I hope this helps!

      Oh, Candy, my heart aches for your loss. Don't worry. It is not the earthly marriage ceremony or contract that matters. What matters in the bond you had between your hearts and minds. If you feel that he is your soulmate, then I have no doubt that you will be with him in the afterlife. 💗

    I met my girlfriend 4 years ago. She was married 12 years ago and never divorced. She had been separated for over 6 years. When we met we were so in love and lived together for over 3 years. She wanted to get divorced but she could never afford it. We just knew we're were soul mates. Our Bond was so so strong
    She died last month and I miss her soooo much. I'm scared that since she never got the divorce, and I never got to marry her, does this mean I will never meet her again? 😔 I must be more specific. Her husband would beat her and she despised him. She had finally escaped him and abuse. I found her a couple years later and we had this strong connection like no other. She swore she was my soul mate and I was hers. We both felt it so much. She got sick during the last year and she was so afraid to be without me. When she died she told me she loved me to infinity and beyond and she could t believe she was leaving. Oh God I miss her so much. Will her not being able to get divorced from that abusive husband affect us when we meet again? I'm scared to find out. 😫

      Hex, I am so sorry both that you lost her and that she suffered from her husband. God does not want us to hurt each other. I want to reassure you that it will all be sorted out in the afterlife. If anyone is married to several people, they spend time with each of them to discover if they are indeed meant to be together. Then they separate if it is not right. No hurting, no blaming. Just finding out for yourself, not someone else telling you you can or can't. The lack of a divorce on earth will hold no meaning in the process. It is about what is in both of your hearts. I ache for your waiting, though. That is hard. Here is a playlist of videos about heaven. It make bring you comfort.

    I was told by a Shaman once that I was born and came down WITHOUT a soul mate. Makes sense. I have dated a lot of women, and then the illness I have crept up and now even after dating a lot of women, more than probably most guys out there, I ended up single and alone anyway.

      How do you feel about that Geese?

      @@offTheLeftEye well, it's weird because I've always wanted to have a family that was like something near and dear to my heart since I was even very young. And now I'm 50 years old, I have a chronic illness, the more successful I got in life, even in my dating life, the more sick I got as if God himself was trying to ordain that I was supposed to be alone in this lifetime.
      I know you guys believe in the one and done Journey. But I can't find them for the life of me if that's the case why I would come down here and we deprived of having a soul mate. I can tell you straight up it's not for lack of trying.
