I think you should’ve waited until closer to the end of race season and start of breeding season, as that’s gunna be very over crowded in those 2 sections, or left it as 3 sections for the race loft this year and than turn the 4th section into the breeding compartment, easily fit 10 breeding boxes across the back making them abit smaller and having that open aviary part out the front for the stock birds to move around in will do wonders for the breeding pairs, All the best mate
No i dont want to give to much away but a bunch of those ybs will come into those boxes some are bred for stock and some special rings birds will be paired up in time and hopefully try get some motivation into them come closer to the 2 special ring races. 👍 ill be building a new breeding loft once i figure out a decent design.
@@ManeyPigeons say no more mate, i know the train line your on now!! which is awesome mate, and yeah i forgot about those ones that you have bred for stock 👌🏼👌🏼
I think you should put the breeding loft next to the racing loft and do upgrades on that as for reducing the nr of breeders I think you should wait until the end of the racing season cause I think u are in for a few surprises as to the breeders
Hi kurt I have 4 lofts stock loft widowhood, hens and youngbirds as you said it's a lot of work but if one section gets sick especially youngbird sickness / canker or cocci at least I can contain it to the individual loft just my thoughts on it
I'm 100% with you on that, i want to get everything into one loft for the time being, I am planning to build a proper loft at some point, where i can have power & maybe grated floor in the whole loft, trying to come up with the right design then i will have a flyer loft & breeding loft separate. i watch all the euro stuff and im jealous! the lofts are very nice well set out.
Why would you get rid of some of the birds you have breed from this season when you don’t know how the offspring have been tested in racing. You seem to constantly change your plans.
You could've just move that other smaller loft of your breeders and use 1 section for the breeders. 2 sections of that size gonna be too small for racing pigeons.
Your best bet is to block your breeders away totally from your race birds if you look at a lot of pigeon lofts their breeding lots are totally separate from the race birds
i agree, eventually i will for now im going all in one, tidy the yard up, my plan over the next 1-2 years is build a proper loft along the lines of the nice euro lofts!
Good idea Kurt. Order you some fancy nest fronts and you are cooking.
always watching your videos kalapatidz..

Plus i need more pairs for a one loft team 😉
@@ManeyPigeons don’t need many pairs for that unless your planing on sending 30 to each OLR

I think u chop and change to much your birds will never settle down its only been a few months since u built that loft
This has always been planned as a temp loft. Until i build 2 new lofts for breeding and flying but wont be for a while
