Chappy, many thanks for this and all the videos you post supporting Asterism. I'm a 70 year old Texas cowboy, retired US Air Force military officer, admittedly, not into metal music. In fact, I'm life time aficionado of great guitar music from any genre. My real love is blues and blues/rock. My favorite bands, historically include (not limited to) Cream, Hendrix, Johnny Winter, Ten Years After (Alvin Lee), guitarists like Gary Moore, Walter Trout, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, Albert and Freddie King, Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), and the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughn. Therefore, when an on line Japanese friend recommended I listen to Asterism (in April 2019, meaning I missed them in their March performances in Texas), I chose to listen out of respect to Japan and the many great guitarists male and female, from Japan. And so I first heard videos from Austin, then discovered your videos. I was TOTALLY AWED! WOW, who are these AMAZING Japanese kids? I wrote a Facebook message to Asterism telling them I had not been this impressed by a rock trio since I first heard Cream in 1966. Much to my amazement, the band (Haruka/Hal-Ca) answered me, saying my comparison to Cream was one of the highest compliments they had received. She knew what/who Cream was! She also knew SRV, even brilliantly performed one of his signature solos, "Scuttle Buttin', while in Texas. I wrote my friends that this band was perhaps the greatest band since Cream. This is not hyperbole. They are incredible! Now, I'm obviously hooked. Go Asterism! I'm a loyal fan for life! What great musicians, what great representatives of their native Japan, what great young people, indeed! Gotta love 'em! Many thanks for introducing this amazing band to the world. I hope they become the next super rock band! Blessings from Texas.
Are we watching the best heavy rocking band in the world? I don't want to single any one of them out...they are a band and I can't believe how good they are. I am 66 years old but I don't think I've lost touch with reality!
I'm 70, been into guitar based music all my life, going back to early 1960s. This is the best rock trio I've heard since Cream in 1966. To me, they're already better than Led Zeppelin (who I saw live), and can stay with Hendrix, SRV, or any other guitarist/band playing today. You're right on! Blessings from Texas.
@@jamesjennings6332 Thanks much for your gracious comments. I with you 100% in support of Asterism. In Texas, they played SRV's "Scuttle Buttin'" as tribute to the legendary Texas blues/rock guitarist. They played this brilliantly, proving they can cover ANY genre of music they choose. If they continue to add blues/rock/jazz fusion tunes to their performances, they can keep their metal roots, while also broadening their audience. Regardless, they are truly one the most exciting young band I've ever heard. I wish them international success and acclaim.
@@Lpmgato1 Thank you my friend. I believe you and I are on the same sheet of music (pun intended). I am hoping they will get close enough that I can witness their incredible talent. I was blown away when I saw their first video. Scuttle Buttin will give you goosebumps !!!
I wish one of these festivals here in the U.S would pick these guys up and expose the masses to how great these guys are...Band is brilliant and Hal is a pocket nuke !
This is mad skill and this is definitely not pure metal either. They are mixing a very new sound. They need a record label, then it would all be natural force from there.
Halca here at 16 and now at 21 is one impressive talent. This band deserves more exposure. She one of the best I’ve ever seen/heard.
Back when Haruka/Hal-Ca was just a 150cm 16 yr old high school kid!😆🤯😆🤯

Truly insane performance.. Halca head bangin while shredding was very rare star found in the world..
Seeing them live in an hour or so at Dankiyama Unit here in Tokyo. While Band-Maid is my favorite band HAL-CA is my favorite guitarist 🎸.
Got to say, Asterism are tight.
Their playing, timing, sound, originality and stage presence blew me away. Asterism all the way!!
ハルカさんはもう何十年も弾いてますみたいな感じ出ちゃってるのがすごい

ギターの彼女、ノリノリで見てるコチラもノッて来ます🎸
Their timing is amazing.

Haruka is completely mind-blowing as both a great guitarist and performer. Those kicks! What a bundle of dynamite in that tiny frame!
Thanks for hard work recording and editing. And special thanks for English translation! 😌

"that girl can shred like Eddie Van Halen"
Nice one.
Awesome 😁
Bassis & drummer should up their showmanship, showcase more about their individuality

What do they describe themselves? From the sound it is more like metal.. a heavy one.. but some clips also feature them playing non metal.
