When I "dance" infront of the enemy with the stock I actually correct my aim with my movement. So the stock helps me instead of making it worse, because I'm so used to it. But if I don't have stock my aim sucks. Well it does anyway but it sucks even more. xD
I feel like the stock lowers my overall accuracy because when you walk around in ADS your sights bump around and with stock they seem to bump around more. I know it doesn't increase the recoil, but I have a harder time using it on weapons like the Vector that require my first 4 or 5 shots to be dead on in order for me to win the gunfight.
silencer and suppressor are the same exact things, flash hider reduces muzzle flash, but reduces noise, flash hider is also called a muzzle brake, silencers/suppressors actually slightly reduce range, muzzle brake/flash hiders help with recoil and staying on target, but make it louder, currently own a fnx .45 tac with an osperey silencer, and a fn scar with a grizzly gun works muzzle brake
XaT Ruthless Bruh... you don't need a scuf necessarily. I have a 2.45 on my solo account. Stock I semi-agree with. It's helpful for rushing but not necessary if you have good aim. Stock bails out people with bad aim by allowing them to strafe. Pre-aim corners 100% . Play the OBJ. It will help a lot with scorestreaks and SPM. But be smart when taking them so you don't die for no reason. Use subs. It will help with reaction time and aiming, especially over distance. Don't be afraid to try for some longer shots.
@bladeofpurple. What a stupid thing to say, the stock actually makes u a harder target to hit and makes it harder to aim as u can move so much faster. It's easier to aim without stock
with whatever reticle works best for you* I am aware reticles are merely visual changes, but there are quite a few of them that I cannot use at all, and not because they are impractical (rocker/skulls on EOtech) and impair vision, it's just a weird aiming thing, like I do much better with the "dot" and "predator" with the reflex sight than I do with any of the others, including default. Reticle is just as important for me as perks if I'm using a sight.
Not necessarily, I don't shoot guns or anything, but my father does, and I've asked him about this before (supressors in the real world are also nothing like in games/movies, they are still loud as hell) and he told me that supressors are pretty heavy, and change the balance (like other guy who replied said) which leads to the gun having much more movement when firing. Being a game mechanic makes sense because it needs more than 1 drawback for how good it is.
I used Lazer on Dsr50 to teach myself how to quickscope, now I get used to it but Im practising balista, its more usefull here because it shows me how high I should keep my barrel (and whitch way to drag, like in DSR) also in balista sometimes noscope is required.
This is true, the suppressor changes the weight distribution of the weapon, and when firing it can pick up momentum from each shot, and result in it rocking back with each shot, and forth with the shooters compensation for the recoil. People think suppressors are really light, like foam or something, but they're heavy enough to make a noticeable difference in recoil, only when in full auto or rapid firing in semi-auto, a single shot wouldn't cause the recoil to be noticeably different.
When ADS delay was a problem in BO2 it made sense to use the laser on your snipers, either in lieu of or in conjunction with dexterity for quicker response and increased accuracy from sprint. As ADS delay has been removed the only thing your laser will do on your sniper is help you hit sweet noscs.
When you eqiup the suppressor the muzzle flash is gone which makes your sights a lot easier to see and in turn makes you more accurate, but since no one really factors that they assume its the recoil going down.
I know this is 2-3 years lat lol, but laser sight has another use. where the laser is pointing, is the point where you will be aiming when you ADS. So this is very useful for thoise with SMG's who hip-fire and move into ADS on a target. Also helps Quickscoping snipers in close range.
You will have your weapon ready to shoot faster by knife'ing ladders right before you enter them. This does not conclude taller ladders however. Drift0r made a video about this as well, i think. Hope it helped!
alot of people dont use type 25 probably because of the recoil and i've noticed its abit wild too but the way i've fixed it is by adding stock, grip & target finder, if you try this that will make me happy just knowing i could help :3
what i do for my AR is i put on a stock, quickdraw, and foregrip, giving incredible versatility, and i do not care about having special sights, all threee attachments increase accuracy, and each one of them have their own special ability, the stock makes you walk faster while aiming, and quickdraw turns faster, personally i think this is a very good combanation.
Actually strafing or "sidestepping" can increase your accuracy because if you were to aim at an enemy in a gun fight, using the right stic to adjust your aim is less reliable than sidestepping, which adjusts your accuracy VERY SLIGHTLY, allowing you to quickly correct your over aim and adjust according to your targets movements
select fire attachment could decrease your recoil on must weapons specially on the scar H and the vector . i love it with the victor because it makes it shots as fast as the scorpion ...
1. it reduces muzzle flash 2. it reduces idle sway 3. it gives a smaller hip fire area its just the way these three things work together that make u think that they do less recoil when they actually arent like the fore grip
I ran an accuracy test with my brother because he didn't believe that the silencer didn't reduce recoil. The results were kinda strange. My bullet patterns showed up different based in which screen you were looking at. We were split screen so we got to look a them right over and under.
Wait, why? A suppressor does not decrease the force of a bullet being fired, it only makes it quieter and removes muzzle flash. This mechanic exists for 2 reasons, the first is realism, the weight changes the guns balance and causes the operator to get a bigger kick, and a bigger dip forward every time you try to compensate for the kick, this really only applies to automatic fire and rapid semi-auto. The 2nd reason is for balance, it needs more than 1 drawback to balance the positives it brings.
In my experience using stock makes it easier to aim. With Assault Rifles at least. Of course, it's not because of any supposed changes in recoil, It's because you can strafe to adjust your aim more effectively than if you weren't using stock.
some attachments are mostly for certain types of guns, and you'll use a SMG for close range fight, crazy is trying to kill a long distance with SMG just in the case that you gonna start shooting from the legs up may help and prone position, .What I wish is if you can help with the controller, about sticks getting hold down,I don't know .but they don't pop back, they're not too old, maybe after 2 weeks start happens, they not return to regular position..
i heard u tlked about the benefits of the stock attachment..i would just like to add. i assume u have notice when u aim ur player slows down drastically which makes it easier for play to keep there target on u.. but with the stock the ability to move sideways and forward faster does make it harder to aim but that is only at the expense of making it harder for other player to keep you in their cross hair
less kinetic energie means less recoil. mass since recoil energy is a function of mass times velocity squared. for suppressor you need lower velocity rounds. less velocity = less kinetic energie "Suppressors reduce firing recoil significantly, primarily by diverting and trapping the propellant gas" wikipedia
Drift0r, I'm not sure if it aplies to multiplayer, but if you check on the campaign, it says (on the description of the ajustable stock that it makes it so you move faster while aiming down sights.
Your accuracy increase as you start to aim down your sight. Like it would go for example 50 accuracy and over time as you start to aim down it would steadily increase to 100 once you are fully looking down the sight, which is why the cross-hairs get tighter as this happens. Then wouldn't having laser decrease the time it takes for you to get to full accuracy?
When you use quickdraw since it zooms in faster, the bullets you spray before you would ADS would be hitting the target faster. Thus increasing the accuracy.
my question is: does the laser sight decrease your aim down sight time, since your cross hairs are smaller (closer together)? Maybe not decrease your aim down sight time, but does somehow enhance the amount of time it takes to zoom in "fully" (fully zoomed being the most accurate)?
Wouldn't that depend on what it sticks to? I mean I haven't seen it stick to the actual shield. Then explode. The only way they could actually survive is based on it hitting the shield correct? That would reduce the damage given to them from the said blast radius. And the impact from the crossbow itself.
Driftor, I like to ADS while walikng around corners and down hallways, so I use the stock. But as you said at 8:40, it's more diffucult to hit enemies with the stock. What should I use?
Driftor do you have a major in any form of science because you totally acted like you knew what you were saying when you said "replicating the experiment" I really appreciate the work you do to get info on BO2 especially the in depth videos! :)
driftor you are a good player maybe not at winning and scoring but you are a team player and you are not a try hard that is one of the best things about how you play
Quickdraw is just a Pistol grip, Foregrip just make the gun kick less, and stock just makes the stock not be on your arm anymore, Modern M16's and M4's has an Adjustable stock
I disagree with your opinion on the adjustable stock. The adjustable stock is beneficial for players with lower look sensitivity and or greater stick control because it allows you to move faster while aimed down sights. This is especially helpful with the light machine guns which slow you down by at least 10%. The increase in look speed allows you to effectively sight walk and quickly side step enemy fire. I have not tried any testes this is from experience and the opinions of other players.
the reason why some people would think suppressor gives less recoil (i used to think it does too but it just lowers stats and makes u invisible from radar) is because when there firing...notice you see no fire coming out of the gun...SCAR-H without a supressor feels like it has alot of recoil but its just the fire ur seeing in front of ur gun so with supressor you wont see which will make it easier for u to aim
Can you please do an In Depth episode for the care package killstreak and cover what chance you have to get a certain killstreak (Orbital eg.), if it's worth taking it.
Yes, but there is the second issue with silencers that is ignored. When a bullet is fired from the barrel of a gun, the round hits the air at a velocity beyond mach 1, even in a .45 ACP. This means that about 70% of the sound coming from the shot comes from the break in the sound barrier, not the discharge itself. A silencer negates this by not only reducing muzzle flash, but also slowing the bullet to speeds below that of mach one. The result should be reduced penetration, range, and damage.
+drift0r if you're using stock and u plan to aim, you're supposed to strafe with the left stick most of the time, not completely try to aim with the right stick. That'll mess you up
Hey driftor, you forgot on the crossbow if you use flak jacket and the assault shield at the same time you can't die from 1 crossbow bolt that sticks to you and explodes.
Question regarding the new custom camos you can purchase e.g Bacon!!!!! lol How much are they priced at individually and can you use them on any weapon and any optical sight??
try out this combo for me on the Submachine gun, the Assault Rifles, and the Lightmachine guns. Stock, Foregrip, and Laser sight, I find the recoil is far less than with just a foregrip. Pce FBH out
True, doesnt really change anything, just letting my thoughts out. Accuracy in cod actualy comes from the player, recoil from the gun and a combination of these result in letting bodies hit the floor.
Of course they work, but they don't really reduce recoil. Stock only improves movement speed while aiming, Suppressor increases recoil slightly yet makes it easier to see the target and aim more effectively, and Laser increases hip fire accuracy only. So it's more an overall increase in accuracy than a decrease in recoil.
good work all u need know is to upload a super class vid with every thing you've learnt with the best perks, attachments, killstreaks and shit and then we will all be cod pros
Not tested for different ranges, hip fire, aiming after turning/running. nobody stands still to shoot and/or fires an entire clip without "aiming" if you have better control over the recoil it has better accuracy. especially with the AN-94 a gun that should never be sprayed. youre testing smgs from a range that is an "uncomfortable" range to kill. best info is to try it out yourself in a real game, not at a wall, without moving, while spraying.
Driftor, im an lmg fan and i use them mostly. and ive done a lot of testing (i wouldnt say anything official) with the lmgs and ive noticed if you have the Grip and Dual Band on the mk48 you will have next to no recoil what so ever. could you test this theory out and let me know?
I would think that since the acog sight lets you zoom in further and when it did it would give you more recoil then iron sights because (As I already explained) you're zoomed in and that was why snipers have so much more recoil...
So am I the only one that actually liked the class and CoD Point system in the first Black Ops, because it's the only game I know of to use that system. I don't see why no other game lets you use a grenade and a claymore. I also liked that since all the attachments and perks unlocked at the same time, you didn't have to wait to get to a certain gun level or rank to be a stealth class.
these tests are very good with no lag! I always play with 1 second delay at least in relation to other players, so for me there is not any class that can make me play better .. yes this is the big problem of the game! LAG and hit detection! I liked that you one day play the game in my conditions and you perceive my point of view ....
silencer just removes the muzzle flash to make you feel you can aim better since you have clearer view on the target, thus subconsciously you feel that it reduces recoil.
you said chris ramos made dubstep in your video that song is like uplifting electro house i also notice you called this type of music "techno" its actually referred to as EDM (electric dance music) techno is a genre of edm.
Also have you found anything to implicate that a laser sight increases your auto aim/aim assist? i have not tested it but it seams like wen i hip fire while jumping the gun centers on the enemy's upper chest.
hey had a question for you i noticed that on my ps3 console. I use on most of my weapons specifically the pdw and the an94 that recoil is reduce and my accuracy increases by using the stock, grip, and quick draw handle i wanted to to see wat you thought of these attachments combined.
So if these attachments only decrease the recoil a little or not at all, what does reduce the the recoil by more than a little to where u can see a difference? Just asking i would go and try everything out but it looks like you know what to do on how to find such a thing.
Wait, doesn't the aim assist affect your aim? If recoil is a problem won't the aim assist help reduce recoil as it is trying to go to that centre of the body depending on range? So with that said isn't the tests on the walls a bit flawed too? Nothing against this video just asking questions
So drift. Your tellin me if I put QuickDraw and silencer on my lmg I won't aim faster, or sort to say there's no boost in my movement. Or is it when your moving side to side swaying with your lmg
When I use a Laser Sight on the DSR or Ballista it seems to help me scope in and kill enemies with more accuracy. I told one friend and now all of his friends use the laser sight with the DSR and Ballista.
The Desert Eagle shoots .50AE (12.7x33mm) while sniper rifles shoot the .50BMG (12.7x99mm). Comparing rounds by their diameter or caliber alone may lead to misconceptions.
The quickdraw handle just replaces the default grip behind the trigger, so it shouldn't affect recoil anyhow. I don't know how people come up with this stuff.
how about the combination of having three attachments(fore grip, stock, and quickdraw handle) using on smgs and some assault rifles im not sure if this is true or not. i use it on the pwd smg and the AN94 assault rifle
When equipping the stock or quickdraw handle, if you look at their stats, they show an increase in accuracy. I think this is where the myths come from.
Why dont the creators make the stats clearer in the game? lol
cuz they lazy
Cause then no one would watch driftors videos
i love driftors videos
Why would they?
Magische Bloemenwereld Are you fucking serious?

XaT Ruthless Bruh... you don't need a scuf necessarily. I have a 2.45 on my solo account. Stock I semi-agree with. It's helpful for rushing but not necessary if you have good aim. But be smart when taking them so you don't die for no reason. Use subs. It will help with reaction time and aiming, especially over distance. Don't be afraid to try for some longer shots.

Why do CoD players always make so many assumptions?
Well, I guess that's just more videos for Drift0r.
Make assumptions on statistics is true for any game. Not just cod.

Quickdraw is the handle grip, Foregrip is the grip at the front of the gun, and the Stock is on the back of the gun against your shoulder
Do you think the reduction in recoil for lmg and sniper rifles is trying to simulate the bipod?

While strafing with stock makes the recoil on a SMG more on target for some reason instead of it being bouncy.
Thank you for all your videos you do. You do a superb job!
I liked that you one day play the game in my conditions and you perceive my point of view ....
silencer just removes the muzzle flash to make you feel you can aim better since you have clearer view on the target, thus subconsciously you feel that it reduces recoil.
you said chris ramos made dubstep in your video that song is like uplifting electro house
i also notice you called this type of music "techno" its actually referred to as EDM (electric dance music) techno is a genre of edm.
Also have you found anything to implicate that a laser sight increases your auto aim/aim assist? i have not tested it but it seams like wen i hip fire while jumping the gun centers on the enemy's upper chest.
Have you ever tried the Peacekeeper EO tech sight with silencer, for some reason it seems that it has more accuracy. Please tell me I'm not sure.
3:52 which camo is this? is this a dlc camo? when yes i got the season pass and revolution and i dont see this camo
Why is the skorpion customized reloading before the ammo counter reaches zero? Glitch or actually fires faster? Fires less bullets?
hey had a question for you i noticed that on my ps3 console. I use on most of my weapons specifically the pdw and the an94 that recoil is reduce and my accuracy increases by using the stock, grip, and quick draw handle i wanted to to see wat you thought of these attachments combined.
The Suppressor doesn't reduce recoil in BOII. It's the diminishing of muzzle flash that gives the illusion that recoil is lowered.
I use long barrel and foregrip on the PDW. And I put reflex, foregrip, ad stock on the AN-94
So drift. Your tellin me if I put QuickDraw and silencer on my lmg I won't aim faster, or sort to say there's no boost in my movement. Or is it when your moving side to side swaying with your lmg
good video and monstercat has some good dubstep artists
When I use a Laser Sight on the DSR or Ballista it seems to help me scope in and kill enemies with more accuracy. I told one friend and now all of his friends use the laser sight with the DSR and Ballista.
Driftor, can you explain the side-stepping multiplers please? what did you mean by this?
The Desert Eagle shoots .50AE (12.7x33mm) while sniper rifles shoot the .50BMG (12.7x99mm). Comparing rounds by their diameter or caliber alone may lead to misconceptions.
I find that QuickDraw and fore grip with laser sight word fantastic
The quickdraw handle just replaces the default grip behind the trigger, so it shouldn't affect recoil anyhow. I don't know how people come up with this stuff.
You're the top result when I search Black Ops 2!
suppresser does decrease recoil, ive been using it since MW2, didnt know it was a myth or anything but a saw a huge diffrence
I use foregrip on the MSMC and I KNOW it helps over longer ranges. I can stay on target and without it, my MSMC can't kill anything.
The guy running around in the background of the testing on Nuketown is hilarious!
What sensitivity do you use in the majority of your "in depth" videos...?
how about the combination of having three attachments(fore grip, stock, and quickdraw handle) using on smgs and some assault rifles im not sure if this is true or not. i use it on the pwd smg and the AN94 assault rifle
When equipping the stock or quickdraw handle, if you look at their stats, they show an increase in accuracy. I think this is where the myths come from.
