win loss ratio means nothing because its unfair, the amount of games ive joined in after we are getting smashed and lose the game.. or the worst is where you join as the game ends as a defeat.. also playing solo is unbelievably much harder to win games than playing with friends that are good. No one I know plays Call of Duty anymore except me.
Some Tips I have are 1)Jumpshot 2)prefire around corners 3)aim down sights around corners 4)Do Not Try to challenge all the time 5)Know your gunfights, if they have an lmg & you have an smg & it's across map, don't challenge 6)Use Classes you're comfortable with 7)If you're not accurate buy kontrol freeks, they really help 8)Use more challenging guns 9)Play Bots for Practice 10)Learn the spawns, they really help 11)Learn Good Lines of Sight 12) Learn wallbang spots 13)Know your maps 14)Constantly use your Mini Map 15)Run Streaks you can get 16)Do Not Camp, most of the time it backfires 17)Play Strategically 18)Work as a team 19)Personally change your Sensitivity to what you're okay with 20)Finally, Go Try Hard & Don't Rage It'll just throw you off your game Finally, would I be a good TH-camr?
what if you only played like 20 hours and at first you where horrible but now you get an average of 2.00kd per game but your stats don't represent that
I can get an average of maybe 150% of what is usually set as "good" but my stats stay low because when I started I got used to the game, I played Black Ops 1 for a year on the wii and knew what gun was good, how to play and how to stay alive, so my crappy stats on there stayed there, but I came over to Xbox and I got the right gun hat has no recoil, I come at people from the side, I like to use snipers and AR's,. but I have to admit, the first thing I did when I got to Black Ops 2 was run around with a combat knife... Yeah, I got it gold in 11 hours(not all using just the knife but 11 hours total from when I started) it probably took me 10 hours and playing knife only for 2 days of gaming, I got it gold on the third day, but my K/D was at 68 at the time and I had played and won maybe 40 matches, and my K/D now with all my guns and trolls and tactics from using the knife transferred over to flanking, being stealthy and trying not to get in a direct gun fight. I can go with a knife in one match and I bet I can out perform the gun using the knifes bane of existence, the executioner and kill them without being seen. but now I am getting good at quickscoping, and shotguns, but I also lost a lot of my flanking tactics with the Combat and Ballistic knives, so I have no reason or motivation to relearn them, so I for some reason am lazy and don't,
Same, I went literally like negative 2000 on my permanent KDR when I was a noob. It's taken MONTHS to even get close to recovering to even. (I'm only negative 100 overall now)
stats don't mean that much, since a lot of people play in a party of 2 or more, which makes a big difference than playing by yourself matched up with randoms with a .45 to .97 K/D, the best player on your team having a 1.01 K/D. The players with over 2 K/D ratios almost always play in parties. It's hard to have a high kill death ratio when everyone except you goes negative -9 or worse almost every game.
I play solo almost everyday and I have a 2.00 kd and a 1.24 win loss and a 380 score per minute and I mainly play Tdm with bad team mates :( but if your a good player you will find out the what your bad teammates are good at wether it be watching your back or plain sitting and holding a spawn as long as you have enough skill to react and see what you can do to benefit your team and you you should be able to maintain good stats

lol any good players on bo2 PS3? My team always SUCKS playing solo, and my friends... Are just horrible. I am not good enough to hold off the other team alone when they all have 2.50 KDs. Mine is a 2.60 last time I checked, 335 score per minute. I'm looking for good team mates, reply your gamer tag !
One way to make sure you're a good player: 1. Never hack 2. Never camp 3. Never mod 4. Never boost (if you're a bad player, good luck when you face ppl w/ 2.0 kd
One of the most inspirational videos I have heard in a very long time, I really appreciate you reviews and advice and I think every COD player should watch your videos, you speak the truth. Keep up the great work! :)
just reset my stats because i was bored i was almost master and had diamond rockets shotguns snipers almost smgs and assult rifles i know what you mean :I
i would consider myself a good player I have a 2.317 KD, a 2.45 W/L and 387 SPM but I have a consistent 2-3 bar connection. I'd say connection especially on BO2 is a key factor for this episode which he left out.
zRushIX i agree you could be good but the connection holds your skill back, espically like u, just imagine if u had a 4 bar, i always have a consistant 3 bar i have never had a 4 bar while i played bo2.
On that part at the end, my coach always said that "If you're not getting better, you're getting worse." And I've found that to be a great motivation to get better in all aspects from when I played football to schoolwork to just COD.
Since my first game, MW2, I have improved greatly. The 2 main things that have helped me attain my highly above average K/D and W/L is playing a lot of S&D and improving my connection the best I can. You will learn to deal with stress a lot better, improve your reaction time, and learn how to stay alive longer for that awesome K/D by playing S&D. The requirement for a better connection is self explanatory. You run up on a guy with a better download and upload speed, he's almost guaranteed that gun fight.
I really don't like InfinityWard's CoD games, the resoulution is HORRIBLE, then I can't see over ranges. Treyarch, and Bo2, I have been running train like a lawn mower.
Owen Lackie My best was a 15.00 but I don't really count it because I was going up against a bunch of really bad players and it wasn't very fun. So my highest that I would count would be 11.5
Thank you Drift0r, I've been a lone wolf and this video kind of made me realise that I've been playing this game totally wrong, I realised that when you play objective and really go for flags, bombs etc.. you don't really care about your K/D. What I'm trying to say is, the game is so much more fun trying to win ;)
Things what make you a good player to play with -dont be a jerk to others (teamkill / annoy aso) -dont use any cheats/glitches and hacks that are unfair to others -stay positive (if you lose a game dont be mad at yourself/others) -appreaciate other players effort (by saying gg or gj) -dont troll/feed And these are the things that make you a good player to play with
Driftor, You are a true legend. People would annoy me sometimes and I would just mute them. Now that I'm trying to commute with other players I'm actually winning more games and doing better overall. When I'm talking to someone who has the same desire as me. I feel better and have more confidence in my team game and individual game. I also used to judge on K/D ratio and that was all I'd work on. Now that I'm working on all stats, I doing better overall and having more fun. Thanks Driftor!
Can someone tell me how to improve in COD in general I get slaughtered in COD mw2-3 but I do better in advanced warfare can someone give me strategies and tactics on how to improve my reaction time and aim and stuff I really want to get better so my brother doesn't laugh at my performance and tell me I suck. Please help me
Can someone tell me how to replace the starting classes with custom? I can't figure out how to. I have two sets of custom classes but I can only use one at a time...
Valthrick Wolven You have to be lv4, prestige 5 or above and select the extra custom class prestige reward to replace ALL of the starting classes. (You don't have to be prestige 5 BTW. you just have to select the "Extra custom class prestige reward every time you prestige until you get to prestige 5, or until you replace ALL of the starting classes. If you reach prestige master, or prestige 6, without selecting the extra custom class reward, you won't be able to replace ALL of the starting classes. :) )
The best way of determining a good player is simple and it doesn't revolve around scores or previous game data or anything like that. A good player understands the game and how it works. Some players have really good knowledge about the game - i.e. they know what each weapon does, the damage, range, even certain mechanics, but knowledge doesn't equal understanding. Whether someone is a good player or not is determined in a real match in real time, based on the actions that a good player takes in order to win a game. Not all good players win all games, but they usually understand the game waaay more than other players, which in turn allows them to win more games overall. You can gain knowledge simply by educating yourself and gathering information, but to be a good player you have to understand the game. And you begin to understand by playing the game in combination with information gathering.
i would say in team deathmatch or search k/d is easily the most important, other than that cod is pretty much all about reflexes and instincts. Instincts involve things like knowing where the enemy spawns, knowing where people with camp, if you see a headglitcher run, etc
hey man you are a very good person thanks for the advise in the life and in the game if you wand to play with me iam on ps3 :prayinghand iam an avarage playing not a big shot and iam a team player not always ofcource but most of the times iam :)
I completely agree. I use to only play domination with a team just to keep my KD OVER 2.30. And win loss above a 4.0. But then u realized that search and destroy is where game skill and 1 on 1 gun battles u need skill. Plus I noticed that most tournaments for pros is S AND D. If you can maintain over a 1.50 KD in S AND D then your descent. If your win loss is high in S AND D then they probably run with a team. I am pretty good even against the best players, but I believe in playing objective and keep win loss high. So I like to play with a team with descent players on S AND D. But I believe to get better you have to play against good players and not just pub stomp in domination and free for all. I love it when I got 20 Freinds on the same game and at least 12 want to play S AND D. Then you can choose a squad and rotate guys. I believe S AND D helps a team grow because call outs are necessary. Unlike tdm are dom where you can just watch radar to find the enemy.
SnD was easy though, i had like ~6 kd in SnD with ~300 spm and ~10 w/l in that mode in bo2 :D Better to look at Hardpoint, that mode is telling more than SnD
What's the difference??? All you can say is controller.. There's no difference.. everything's the same. Based of so many people. People are the same. Alia has played ps3 before tbnrfrags PC. it's the way the game is conveyed to you. It's no easier. Guns are the same. Xbox community may be larger. split screeners are everywhere you have no point. Tired of hearing this myth
so you pay to be better? i thought it took hard work and practice. ive had both systems no difference except if you like xbox that's what you pick vice versa. the engines the same. if you have good internet blah blah.
I wouldn't say the amount of people playing means noob or good. but I can say when I get on late at night I do tend to run into beasty players more on ps3 idk why they get on later and be good im sleepy but for some reason I do better when I sleepy maybe bc im aggressive but calm.
I'm just now starting to get good. I've been playing BO2 for a year and just now seeing some fruit pop up. my K/D is 1.30 (doesn't sound impressive but trust me I went from almost always being negative to having ((on average)) a 2-3 K/D per match now.) I'm pretty average almost never first (unless I have a crappy team) but usually 3rd or 4th. I just need a good team to roll with and learn.
how to be good at cod 1) Map knowledge 2) Spawn knowledge 3) Know what your opponent is going to do coming out of the spawn. 4) gotta have good reaction speed 5) Know how to counter the enemy if they are camping, sniping, rushing etc.
I'm not a very good player, but what makes me unique is my strategy. I often flank with the combat knife for a bit, then throw them off by switching to a long-range class.
Not necessarily! I only have a 1.2 K/D, but now I usually don't go under a 2 while playing. When starting off you're going to do bad, it's all about getting used to the game, the guns, the maps, etc. But you learn them, you learn where to go, and you learn how to play them. And your stats will eventually get better. Just know, it's a lot easier to drop your stats than to raise them. Don't get discouraged, and really just have fun. Hope this helped!
so true! the matchmaking system tries to fill all the empty spots, and people quit from losing teams all the time. Then those spots get filled by unlucky players who are basically given a loss because of bad luck.
3:15 totally describes me, all I do is go for kills when I play domination, don't get me wrong, I will go for positions we don't have but half the time I just go for k/d and blame teammates when they can't capture positions. Although, I do push toward the objectives.
So, I've fresh started a few times, my third time around was about the time I understood stats. My friend told me my stats are good, ( my second time around ) .97 kd .78 w/l, my top five gun kds, were 1.20 and higher. Anyway on to my third time around, ( my times around, means to master, then fresh starting ) I hit master with, being at the top of almost every lobby leader board, my stats were-- 1.48 kd, 1.19 w/l, 368 score per min, ( I only really played tdm, and search and destroy, ( core ) ). I fresh started again, I'm level 46, maybe, I kinda got bored of the game. My stats are,--- 1.95 kd, 2.38 w/l 450 score per minute. ( I can't say that's my score per minute I don't know it, dead on the top of my head.) so I was wondering am I an overall good player, to anyone?!?! My friends say when I play, anything other than tdm, I have this strive to win, that's why I play tdm, I will die to win! ( by the way, I average, 20-35 kills per game, on tdm )! Please tell me what you think, any I really wanna know...
Same here dude, well except for the K/D my team deathmatch K/D being 2.17, i constantly get put on teams that cannot seem to do anything right weather it's capturing objectives or just plain aiming they're bad and the same result is me at the top of the scoreboard but still suffering a heavy loss due to my team getting 15 deaths and 3 kills.
didn't read all the comments, but some players like me, I started black ops 2 as my first fps game ever, made It to master prestige and didn't have the best stats, made it to a 1.4 but I knew I have been better than that. in the lobby leaderboard its automatically set to all time, you can change the options to weekly, or monthly to see more current time of how you are improving.
I can relate because I am an objective domination player. I play mostly an overwatch/anti-air-equipment role on my team. Calling out enemies, providing covering fire, shooting down scorestreaks and taking out sentires/guardians. I am not so concerned with K/D as I am with winning the match.
My stats in MW3 is a 1.30 KD and like a .73 wl but i used to play lots of free for all so I ABSOLUTELY had to be first place to count a win. The highest stats I think I could ever manage is maybe a 3.00 KD and a 5.00 win loss. Stats aren't always the best indicator, but they aren't completely useless.
I always hate those people who don't do anything in Domination or Demolition. For example, if the bomb is planted, nobody defuses or defends that bomb. Rediculous.
A lot of people like to mod their stats, so for me a good indicator that a decent player is in the lobby is by checking the weekly and monthly lobby leaderboards. High SPM and high KD for the month/week should be representative of the players skill and or play style.
When I first started playing the MP in ghosts, I had a 0.35 K/D. About halfway into the life cycle of ghost, I had a 0.50 K/D but I really tried to get better and got a 1.15 K/D when AW released. I have a 1.45 K/D in AW with the SBMM, exos and everything while I still doesn't use the Ob.Steed and op guns and not trying to hard. I don't care about K/D so much, I just like to see the improvement on paper
Another problem with the win/loss ratio is that it counts quitting a game or being booted from a game as a loss. I have a lot of internet issues, where i get severe lag, enough to make me rage quit, or sometimes enough to end the game by booting everyone in the lobby. These games show up as losses -> an inacurately low win/loss ratio
i am so glad that you actualy know what your talking about when it comes to math and stats more spacificaly, unlike most people who find that something happend once and say thats good enough for me.
Driftor I love you dude... I really appreciate the work you put in towards informing us about the statistics to the game... I always come to your channel when me and my friends debate over something CoD related lol
Looking back at this video now after the realization of SBMM, win/loss is a double edged sword. If you're running solo with others, and you have better overall stats, you can have a shitty win loss if you get screwed by having to be the one on top carrying your team
As a person with a 2.0 K/D and a 3.5 W/L ratio, I can tell you that the most important thing in Call of Duty is to play with a FULL team at all times. When you play with a team that you know, you will not only win more but you will not be put into lobbys that are already over, or that are going to give you a loss. If you don't have a group of people to play with, then start messaging people who are doing well in your random lobbies. Teams are out there, just find them.
I have a 1.3 kd in aw and a 1.3 win/loss ratio. I do not use overpowered weapons like the obsidian steed or the asm1. My most used weapon is actually the amr9.
I used that but it wasn't doing enough damage for me so I switched to the IMR I would recommend trying it,It has the same feel to it but It does more damage.
My aw kd was around .80 and after a few days in domination I got it up to around 1.10 , idk why but I find Domination so much more predictable and fun on aw , it has me addicted to the game again
Here's my tip: Play on objective, this could work equally well on TDM but I don't suggest it. Domination is my preferred game mode for this strategy. This is how I used to play in the original BO and I did OKish. Now, in BO2 I kept wondering why it was difficult to get Scorestreaks. The answer is simple, the game pushes objectives. with 5 kills for a UAV, that's ridiculous. You could counter with Hardline, but no guarantee. With this I was able to get an orbital VSAT the 1st game I equipped it.
I only play FFA but I think the win loss ratio is the most important to me, not so much now after MW3 since they decided to make everyone in the top 3 a winner. It doesn't give a true indicator of how many matches you've actually won and how good you truly are.
I am a very mixed player. K/D is decent enough at 1.67. W/L around 1.1 and SPM on my gamemode to go (Kill Confirmed) is 470 without stealing tags all the time. I use all the guns and i can do well with all of those. I don't use a headset so i can't help teammates with callouts etc. And even when i would have a headset i will probably be too busy minding my own business. Still i'm a teamplayer who play the objective, shooting down high killstreaks and if needed i take 1 death for the team. Overall i'm usually a valuable and above average player who can carry a team to the win. But when they are beyond terrible and go like 1-20 i can't carry them.
No one can carry a team that sucks that much. Sometimes, you just have to accept that your team loss and that's the only time that you should blame your teammates.
You have to check what game types they're playing as well. If you have a 1 K/D, and they're a masters in league play, they're probably better than some one with a 3 K/D that's never touched League play
I like in TF2 how I can work with my team via mic. Usually results in a successful match. Xbox though, as much as I'd like to use my mic with people, there are so many squeakers I can't stand it, so I usually insta-mute everyone.
Since my brother wrecks my stats with all his quickscoping, knife only and inability to capture flags I have taken my stats from my last 9 games (3 with KSG-12, 3 with PDW-57 and 3 with M27). My KSG-12 games were 19-9, 15-7 and 21-15. My M27 games were 11-11, 20-5 and 30-9. My PDW-57 games were 20-4, 26-6 and 38-5. I got the stealth chopper, warthog and lodestar on the 38-5 match so that isn't all gun kills. I averaged 4 caps 2 defends per game but got more with the PDW and KSG. Am I good?
One tip guys, if you are prestige 1 or a low prestige, or even below rank 55 and are you doing bad all the time? If so just STOP at the next prestige rank 55, or just stop at rank 55, I find it relaxing just stoping and playing in many different styles, I got 10x better just relaxing and playing, without the stress of ranking up and trying, I am prestige 2 rank 55, and I've been through the ranks 3 times, don't you think that's enough?
And I honestly don't think that 1.00 k/d should be considered average, because that means on average, every game you played you didn't exist. Disincluding some games you went positive, others negative, and if you broke even, technically you didn't exist, again disincluding factors like you saved someone from death.
Driftor your amazing keep up the commentaries every time you speak at a quick pace and even though I'm a slow person I understand absolutely everything you say and its meaningful than you for everything u do
I'd say you're getting there. But try and judge these stats for yourself and see how the correlate. See what needs improving, and when you find that error, adapt to improve, keep doing/using that improvement and you'll see yourself climbing the ladder of excellence, one rung at a time. Efficiency, consistency, reality.
I've come for FPS training, but stayed for the life lesson! I'm time travelling from the age of COVID, this is my time to git gud in FPS games, so Drift0r thanks for the coaching and also bless you for open mind & supportive heart :D love form the UK
Hi I think you forgot to mention one thing about win and lose ratio, there is a trick for a person to have high win and lose ratio but actually lose more than win. You see many people in one team that is losing or about lose a whole game, then they just quite the game, because of that this game will not be recorded in your W and L ratio, so acutally this game lose will not affect your W and L ratio. Many players only stay in a game until end when they are winning, otherwise they quite.
I have a 2.10 k/d and primarily play team deathmatch and only have a .78 w/l. I went 31-0 once and lost... it's not even fair how bad the teammates I get are. Considering I can get vsats and none of them get a kill, it's pretty annoying.
I find score per minute to not determine skill much because I play demolition and I find that people with ridiculously high SPM use tactical insertions and if you play demolition, you know how broken tactical insertions are because they can spawn close to the action which naturally means higher score per minute.
W/L shouldn't even be brought up because the amount of times I went Solo in BO2 and my entire team got stomped by full parties was unbelievable. As a solo player that usually carries the vegetable squad, the potatoes, carrots and onions, and play objective based game modes I find it nearly impossible to go against a full party in a lobby full of randoms because that's really unfair to solo players to be forced to go against a well coordinated team when my teammates struggle to use a controller. I feel like parties should only go against other parties. If you wanna pub stomp that hard then you deserve to be challenged just like solo players are.
I have a 0.87 K/D... 0.71 W/L in 662 games... 171 SPM... I have golden ballistic knife (0.73), LSAT (0.98), DSR50 (0.92), FAL DSW (0.89)... with most other guns are between 0.70-0.88... would I be average or just above average
K/D is a better way to detect how good someone is opposed to W/L. Why? Because W/L is a team effort, you could be getting carried each and everytime by your team. Your W/L tells me how good you can do with your team opposed to your K/D being able to tell me how good you can do on your own.
I'm one of those people who like to experiment with their weapon loadouts. Had a lot more fun playing Black Ops 2 when the personalization pack came out.
I has a .88 K/D, but I've been getting +2.5 K/d lately. I play Pub SnD more lately, and I think calling out and supporting your teammates is what makes you a good player. Calling out, backing up.
I have a 433 SPM and a 4,08 K/D in Team Deathmatch. Usually use the AN-94 which has a 4,01 K/D and a 24% accuracy. Yet, my Win/Loss is only 1,23, even though i mostly use supportive streaks. It is so frustrating, as the matchmaking keeps pairing me with useless players. So if I dont try hard, I am destined to loose.. Any tips on how to even out the matchmaking? Except reverse boosting?
I personally think that the class is what makes you a good player. I used to be a big n00b until I watched AliA's and someone else's (forgot the name) best class setups and used them and I've improved.
I agree with a lot of comments, I think my W/L isn't that high because I play solo a lot of the time and the team I'm put with either leaves or just aren't good players. For me though, a lot of the time I know I'm good at something but I always want to get better. Sometimes this is inspired by watching the pro's. I just feel like I don't have the opportunity to show this, either there isn't any options to show it or I just don't know how.
there's tactical camping where you can control half the map without running around too much, and then there's just sitting in a corner ADS'ing the whole game. I've had games of core TDM where I camp with an lmg and go 51-0, I've had games where I rush with an unsilenced smg and get 40+ kills with 0-2 deaths. it's all about how you strategize.
2.35 487 SPM 4.0 W/L I'm glad you brought up that thing about always trying to get better, I feel like the game gets stale as soon as you hit masters pres as there is nothing left to work towards. Maybe it's just me but I feel like working towards getting better is hard if you aren't challenged enough too.
Remember that a player can always improve himself and become better so lets say hes kd is 2.1(+0.5) that means he improve himself a lot lately, and 0.5 kd is a good improvement to your kd.
i have slightly above average stats but dont know really how classify myself because when im not with my clan i do bad cause most games its basically 4-6 cause i ALWAYS get stuck with 2-16ers or 0-13 but still produce solidly but when im with my clan im the leading killer and we go on big win streaks. another problem is when im doing great but get booted because my teammate feels compelled to force themselves in front of me whether it makes sense or not. anyone else have these problems?
i've had black ops 2 for about 4 days now... i'm almost prestige 1 i play about 4-5 hours on weekdays and longer on weekends... I have a K/D ratio of 2.03 with 2528 kills ...and i get the average of a 2.5 KD per game i have a 360 score per minute and my i can use 3 or 4 guns really well
hey Drift0r, I have a question for you. so when ever i play black ops 2 i feel like i get stuck on that team that is going against a lode star swarm and warthogs 24/7, like i feel 50% of the time. i also feel like when ever i get on a good team, where we are a tad bit in front of them in skill, i feel like i dominate where i get lode stars and AGR's and other kill streaks. is it cause i am unlucky, or what, please tell me what you think, thanks, and keep doing your videos.
The weapons I most use are the assault rifles and smg's, which both range from 3000 kills to 900 kills. Each weapon's K/D averages from 0.74 (SMR) to 0.84 (M8A1) - my win/loss is 0.7 because I've been playing objective since launch and I hardly ever go as a party - My score per minute is near to the 500's though, so I'm slightly confused to whether I'm possibly a good player or not. Sure, 2/3 or the stats are great but one of them isn't xD
So, what your saying is I should play MP like I play Zombies? Me and my friends move as a squad to the objectives in zombies, destroying anything in our path. We took down the Panzer Soldat in less than one magazine each! Could that work in MP as well?
Yea I'm only a prestige 6 with a .90 kd but i mess around i got in a game with a prestige master and he was trash talking and saying I was bad and it was just TDM and I made him rage quit. I went 36-2
Almost whenever I play I get put with 6 of those awesome people with a 2.0 k/d and w/l, and 5 with about 0.5. I always end up on the team with people not going for the objective and failing at slaying instead of playing, hence my w/l and k/d is really bad. Out of my two years of playing blops 2, I have gotten 76 wins. My team always drags me down, and makes me look like a shitty player and then no one wants to plan with me. Any advice?
+Westhegaminglich Same here I consider my self a very good player in every cod from cod4-black ops 2 having called in over 300 nukes(I kept tracked of 80% of them via my status) and over 700 lodestar and vtols and about 1500 agr BUT my win loss ratio is like 1 my kdr is like 2 not even sure if that is good I don't ever focus on that I mosty play solo and if you play solo you are going to loose way more. I tried to figure out why and now I know its a few things: 1)If your solo your going to join more games that are already being played. If you join a game already being played you are almost always on a loosing team BECAUSE YOUR TAKING SOMEONE WHO RAGE QUITS SPOT thus you join a losing team 2)The matchmaking on this game will place solo players by them selfs and party players on their own team usualy against you because of how the game tries to balance the teams 3)Solo your going to join more laggy rooms as you join more games in progress and like I said in my first point why are we joining games in progress? because someone quit or disconnected and most the time people quit because of bad teams or lag 4)Playing against a clan is almost always a loss as they are using TEAMWORK, coordination etc there are a few more factors as why if you play solo no matter how good you are you will always be at a disadvantage
my k/d is 1.61 and i know what is takes to be a good player! you have to have map knowledge... fast reflexes... good accuracy... and using your surroundings to your benefit
This goes for any first person shooter really. Because I play cod and battlefield and in battlefield winning is so much easier with a squad of friends than lone wolf and cod when most of your team is friends with mica and you are communicating versus a team with out communication it's easy to stomp them into the ground
I have a good Idea for a stat, Score/Kill. It shows that a player is completing objectives while killing other players. The more even the ratio, the better the player is.
I love it when people with good stats talk shit to people with bad stats then the people with bad stats own them.
Chris Harwood that's me because now my stats are crap on bo2 from leaving hacked lobbies and stuff but I carry in every match I'm in
win loss ratio means nothing because its unfair, the amount of games ive joined in after we are getting smashed and lose the game.. or the worst is where you join as the game ends as a defeat.. also playing solo is unbelievably much harder to win games than playing with friends that are good. No one I know plays Call of Duty anymore except me.

What system do you play on?
mushtacrakish PS4
+spurs4lyf2006 what is your gamer tag
mushtacrakish XxSirMadzXx
spurs4lyf2006 I RELATEEEEEEE
Some Tips I have are
1)Jumpshot
2)prefire around corners
3)aim down sights around corners
4)Do Not Try to challenge all the time
5)Know your gunfights, if they have an lmg & you have an smg & it's across map, don't challenge
6)Use Classes you're comfortable with
7)If you're not accurate buy kontrol freeks, they really help
8)Use more challenging guns
9)Play Bots for Practice
10)Learn the spawns, they really help
11)Learn Good Lines of Sight
12) Learn wallbang spots
13)Know your maps
14)Constantly use your Mini Map
15)Run Streaks you can get
16)Do Not Camp, most of the time it backfires
17)Play Strategically
18)Work as a team
19)Personally change your Sensitivity to what you're okay with
20)Finally, Go Try Hard & Don't Rage It'll just throw you off your game
Finally, would I be a good TH-camr?
You are a very good motivational speaker.
+ALEXGONEG∆MING - PSN: MORPH_DESIGNS Indeed.
what if you only played like 20 hours and at first you where horrible but now you get an average of 2.00kd per game but your stats don't represent that
thats me :D
ur shit
I can go with a knife in one match and I bet I can out perform the gun using the knifes bane of existence, the executioner and kill them without being seen. but now I am getting good at quickscoping, and shotguns, but I also lost a lot of my flanking tactics with the Combat and Ballistic knives, so I have no reason or motivation to relearn them, so I for some reason am lazy and don't,
***** Try watching LynxWarlord's class setups. He knows every attribute to each gun, and how to play well.
Berzerka i have a 6.3 ratio on my other account :P
I play solo almost everyday and I have a 2.00 kd and a 1.24 win loss and a 380 score per minute and I mainly play Tdm with bad team mates :( but if your a good player you will find out the what your bad teammates are good at wether it be watching your back or plain sitting and holding a spawn as long as you have enough skill to react and see what you can do to benefit your team and you you should be able to maintain good stats

I hold a 4.63kd 4.20 W/L and 485 spm playing 100% solo with shitty adsl internet it's not that hard to hold good stats solo.
lol any good players on bo2 PS3? My team always SUCKS playing solo, and my friends... Are just horrible. I am not good enough to hold off the other team alone when they all have 2.50 KDs. Mine is a 2.60 last time I checked, 335 score per minute. I'm looking for good team mates, reply your gamer tag !
One way to make sure you're a good player:
1. Never hack
2. Never camp
3. Never mod
4. Never boost (if you're a bad player, good luck when you face ppl w/ 2.0 kd

And camping is playing normal considering that half or more of the call of duty population does it

One of the most inspirational videos I have heard in a very long time, I really appreciate you reviews and advice and I think every COD player should watch your videos, you speak the truth. Keep up the great work! :)
I use a lot of guns, once I get a gun gold I rarely use it :( even if I enjoy it I just feel like there's nothing left to do with it.
Yea same here. I have gold for my DSR and I rarely use it
I think the gold skin looks ugly. Even if I have it unlocked I use something else.
Same. I had so much fun getting gold for the Mtar, but now that I have gold, I don't use it much.
just reset my stats because i was bored i was almost master and had diamond rockets shotguns snipers almost smgs and assult rifles i know what you mean :I
Golden Merit wtf u should not worry about being good as long as u think your good
i would consider myself a good player I have a 2.317 KD, a 2.45 W/L and 387 SPM
but I have a consistent 2-3 bar connection.
I'd say connection especially on BO2 is a key factor for this episode which he left out.
I have less kd and wl but my score per minute is 400 on tdm and on all it says 23,000 but i think that might be glitched kek
zRushIX i agree you could be good but the connection holds your skill back, espically like u, just imagine if u had a 4 bar, i always have a consistant 3 bar i have never had a 4 bar while i played bo2.
Not bad, not bad. Can you handle me though?
On that part at the end, my coach always said that "If you're not getting better, you're getting worse." And I've found that to be a great motivation to get better in all aspects from when I played football to schoolwork to just COD.
5:17 plant picks it self up
Jesus Daddy It was almost too much...
5:15 watch the plant stand up and get out of the way lol
Lmao
xD
Since my first game, MW2, I have improved greatly. The 2 main things that have helped me attain my highly above average K/D and W/L is playing a lot of S&D and improving my connection the best I can. You will learn to deal with stress a lot better, improve your reaction time, and learn how to stay alive longer for that awesome K/D by playing S&D. The requirement for a better connection is self explanatory. You run up on a guy with a better download and upload speed, he's almost guaranteed that gun fight.
I wouldn't say it's the upload/downloaded speed considering the gaming using very little bandwidth, it's more to do with your ping.
I'd say I'm better at Treyarch games like by a huge margin my KD in infinity ward games was like .75 but like 1.78 in the Treyarch ones
Me too
I really don't like InfinityWard's CoD games, the resoulution is HORRIBLE, then I can't see over ranges. Treyarch, and Bo2, I have been running train like a lawn mower.
I'm better in the Infinity Ward games, surprisingly.
I have a 0.74 k/d but i have been getting better. I've been getting 1.5's and 2.0's lately.
BTW what would you call TBNRFrags who get like 12.0 k/ds?
A noob
12.0 K/D is very high, and the highest ANYONE i've seen get to is about a 5.36-6.29 ratio. My best was a finish of 7.01, with 34 kills and 2 deaths.
Owen Lackie My best was a 15.00 but I don't really count it because I was going up against a bunch of really bad players and it wasn't very fun. So my highest that I would count would be 11.5
same here. I want to play against the best players to get better.
Owen Lackie like me! come play vs me and you'ill get better bro :P
5:16 look at that plant xD
Woah
Omg I’m dead hahahah! Thanks for making my day amigo!
I wanna be the very best like no one ever was.
Things what make you a good player to play with
-dont be a jerk to others (teamkill / annoy aso)
-dont use any cheats/glitches and hacks that are unfair to others
-stay positive (if you lose a game dont be mad at yourself/others)
-appreaciate other players effort (by saying gg or gj)
-dont troll/feed
And these are the things that make you a good player to play with
I quit a lot of games I have a 0.32 W/L Ratio.
Same especially when I join a game with freekin k9s and swarms
Tyler Fenton i quit a lot of games but i am still .79 w/l ...
So basically, you're lobby shoppers. Don't you get that urge to beat them in the next game?
Sean Farmer
kid ur bad get #rekt
Tyler Fenton We all know thats a lie
I am a mid tier. I have a under 1 kd about .70 and in w/l is about.80 so I would consider a mid teir
That's low teir
XxAKWaRDxX 1 TIER
Sean McGee That's high tier
Driftor, You are a true legend. People would annoy me sometimes and I would just mute them. Now that I'm trying to commute with other players I'm actually winning more games and doing better overall. When I'm talking to someone who has the same desire as me. I feel better and have more confidence in my team game and individual game. I also used to judge on K/D ratio and that was all I'd work on. Now that I'm working on all stats, I doing better overall and having more fun. Thanks Driftor!
Who here in 2021
2024 better
Can someone tell me how to improve in COD in general I get slaughtered in COD mw2-3 but I do better in advanced warfare can someone give me strategies and tactics on how to improve my reaction time and aim and stuff I really want to get better so my brother doesn't laugh at my performance and tell me I suck. Please help me
TheXclusiveAce did drills that could help you.
FaZe W0LF Thanks, bro
Look at The XclusiveAce's drills

Uh. Okay then. I don't think Jesus controlls a life or death scenario in a game, but thanks anyways😂
Yuri Nakamura have you been cuddling with Satan or something? He'll come eventually, just quit being impatient.
Yuri Nakamura No, we aren't. At least we aren't bored out of our minds not think about he protects us.
Everything is about teamwork
Giwrgos N kiddo it's cod.
i would say in team deathmatch or search k/d is easily the most important, other than that cod is pretty much all about reflexes and instincts.
I mute people because all it is it crying babies, I'm not even joking
It’s true it’s always a guy telling his girlfriend or whatever to take care of a screaming kid.... Everytime SMH hahaha.
This guy should become a motivational speaker.
Guys, beware BO2 on ps3 is easier than how it is is on Xbox 360
What's the difference??? All you can say is controller.. There's no difference.. everything's the same. Based of so many people. People are the same. Alia has played ps3 before tbnrfrags PC. it's the way the game is conveyed to you. It's no easier. Guns are the same. Xbox community may be larger. split screeners are everywhere you have no point. Tired of hearing this myth
Nah ps3 online is free more players come along a lot better players than 360
so you pay to be better? i thought it took hard work and practice. ive had both systems no difference except if you like xbox that's what you pick vice versa. the engines the same. if you have good internet blah blah.
On xbox there are more people playing so there is a higher chance you run into noobs
I wouldn't say the amount of people playing means noob or good. but I can say when I get on late at night I do tend to run into beasty players more on ps3 idk why they get on later and be good im sleepy but for some reason I do better when I sleepy maybe bc im aggressive but calm.
considering that playing the obj is very rewarding, I think spm is the best way of telling a good player from a bad one
Agreed
I'm just now starting to get good. I've been playing BO2 for a year and just now seeing some fruit pop up.
my K/D is 1.30 (doesn't sound impressive but trust me I went from almost always being negative to having ((on average)) a 2-3 K/D per match now.) I'm pretty average almost never first (unless I have a crappy team) but usually 3rd or 4th. I just need a good team to roll with and learn.
how to be good at cod
1) Map knowledge
2) Spawn knowledge
3) Know what your opponent is going to do coming out of the spawn.
4) gotta have good reaction speed
5) Know how to counter the enemy if they are camping, sniping, rushing etc.
I always come to your channel when me and my friends debate over something CoD related lol
what you said about getting better at the end of the video is a valuable advice for life in general, i needed to hear that thanks
I only seem to run into players with a mic who plays music or some annoying sound that I mute. Never anyone with a mic who is calling out to help.
Most people don't factor in lethal scorestreaks. You can seriously get a swarm in domination in 5 kills if you do it right.
I agree. Connection is a BIG factor. When people have to shot someone 10-15 times to kill them just to have the person in turn 2-3 shot kill you.
And I honestly don't think that 1.00 k/d should be considered average, because that means on average, every game you played you didn't exist. Disincluding some games you went positive, others negative, and if you broke even, technically you didn't exist, again disincluding factors like you saved someone from death.
KD = Chances of winning an encounter
SPM = Rate of encounters/rate of objective play
WL = Team contribution (I like Drift0r's definition on this one)
Driftor your amazing keep up the commentaries every time you speak at a quick pace and even though I'm a slow person I understand absolutely everything you say and its meaningful than you for everything u do
I'd say you're getting there. But try and judge these stats for yourself and see how the correlate. See what needs improving, and when you find that error, adapt to improve, keep doing/using that improvement and you'll see yourself climbing the ladder of excellence, one rung at a time. Efficiency, consistency, reality.
I used to have a .63 K/D ratio, but now I've bumped it up to .72 and I'm working on getting it up. I watch XBox Ahoy's videos, they help alot XD
I've come for FPS training, but stayed for the life lesson!
I'm time travelling from the age of COVID, this is my time to git gud in FPS games, so Drift0r thanks for the coaching and also bless you for open mind & supportive heart :D
love form the UK
Hope you're doing well sir
Richard Gill according to driftor you are a bad player because your kd and wl is under 1 ( 1 is about average ) and your spm isn't high...
Everything sounds so complicated but for some reason I understand it
I has a .88 K/D, but I've been getting +2.5 K/d lately.
2.35 487 SPM 4.0 W/L
I'm glad you brought up that thing about always trying to get better, I feel like the game gets stale as soon as you hit masters pres as there is nothing left to work towards.
I have a K/D ratio of 2.03 with 2528 kills ...and i get the average of a 2.5 KD per game i have a 360 score per minute and my i can use 3 or 4 guns really well
is it being a team player if all the players in my team don't talk and just play loud music and i am trying to listen to footsteps so i mute them
hey Drift0r,
I have a question for you. so when ever i play black ops 2 i feel like i get stuck on that team that is going against a lode star swarm and warthogs 24/7, like i feel 50% of the time. i also feel like when ever i get on a good team, where we are a tad bit in front of them in skill, i feel like i dominate where i get lode stars and AGR's and other kill streaks. is it cause i am unlucky, or what, please tell me what you think, thanks, and keep doing your videos.
Any advice?
+Westhegaminglich Same here I consider my self a very good player in every cod from cod4-black ops 2 having called in over 300 nukes(I kept tracked of 80% of them via my status) and over 700 lodestar and vtols and about 1500 agr BUT my win loss ratio is like 1 my kdr is like 2 not even sure if that is good I don't ever focus on that
I mosty play solo and if you play solo you are going to loose way more. I tried to figure out why and now I know its a few things:
1)If your solo your going to join more games that are already being played. If you join a game already being played you are almost always on a loosing team BECAUSE YOUR TAKING SOMEONE WHO RAGE QUITS SPOT thus you join a losing team
2)The matchmaking on this game will place solo players by them selfs and party players on their own team usualy against you because of how the game tries to balance the teams
3)Solo your going to join more laggy rooms as you join more games in progress and like I said in my first point why are we joining games in progress? because someone quit or disconnected and most the time people quit because of bad teams or lag
4)Playing against a clan is almost always a loss as they are using TEAMWORK, coordination etc
there are a few more factors as why if you play solo no matter how good you are you will always be at a disadvantage
love how you always spit life lessons that correlate with BLOPS
Which one is about when you talk about the Dual Band Scope and Variable Zoom Glitch?
my k/d is 1.61 and i know what is takes to be a good player! you have to have map knowledge... fast reflexes... good accuracy... and using your surroundings to your benefit
