That's a reasonable question at 7.20. If Green was fit, who would be opening? Given the commitment to playing Khawaja and then all of Smith, Marnus, Head, Green and Marsh because they're "the six best batsmen in the country," who would have opened alongside Khawaja? In some ways, the injury to Green has let the selectors off the hook. They can pick another batsman more suited to opening when they would otherwise have been compelled to force a square peg into a reound hole. For the record, I think McSweeney is the right pick. He's probably the best young batsman (25 or under) outside the team and he seems like he could bat anywhere if required.
On what basis? He’s clearly not in form in the ODIs, he averaged 22 last year in long form cricket and has made like 4 hundreds in 55FC games. If you’re going down that route(aggressive), then Inglis is better suited.
Tim Paine perfectly predicted the next match against Pakistan perfectly at 4:38
Australia has a great chance to clinch the BGT this summer with 3-2 or 3-1 victory.
Travis head should open & Beau Webster should play in his earlier position

Jurel looks like the real deal. 🤝
Should Mitch marsh stay? Tremendous in white ball but is he consistent enough as a no6 anchor especially when he doesn’t really bowl

👍 Sensible and stable
Macsweeny in place of harris.😊😊
Nope Sam Konstas should open!
@thegradecricketer beat you to the punch on this one fellas.
nathan mcsweeney should open 🤞🤞
Matt Short should open .. he won't, but I genuinely think he is the best choice.
Matt short averages 34 in first class cricket he is more suited for white ball cricket
@debankyajyotidas5495 give the man a chance. All Aussie batsmen stink right now. 35 is the new 55. He is the man for the job.
