Good job on cleaning the radio. My maternal grandmother had that radio, she listened to the Pittsburgh Pirates on KDKA-AM radio up until her death in 1997. Everytime I see one, it reminds me of her.

That dial is so sweet. The 619 is a great radio btw.

I have one of these to! These radios really are awesome! The RF-511 and RF-513 are also fantastic radio's as well. I got lucky with all of mine like you did and picked em up dirt cheap. My 513 looks like it was never used but my 511 and 619 are used but very clean.

todderbert You'll love the RF-511 then. Two scews and the radio will basically fall apart lol. The 513 is a bit more complex but I think its a newer radio since it doesn't have the National badge on it anymore.

Retro tech! A very cool radio to show us. That tuning dial is awesome.

Very nice. It looks like that radio cleaned up real nice. A pocket AM DXer for sure. I like the older Panasonic radios, they just don't make them like that anymore.

I've noticed the older Panasonics I pick up all need some switch and pot cleaning only. At least this is easy then trying to trouble shoot a dead component.
