I bought the CT2050 off the original kickstarter. It's a nice welder but it does have a few flaws (to me anyway).
1) The plasma torch works well but it has a one of a kind electrode. Only YesWelder carries it and even they don't have any in stock. Having only one source for consumables annoys the crap out of me so I swapped the torch head out for a 'standard' PT-60 style head.
2) The built-in compressor is nice but not heavy duty. Mine maxed out at 30-40psi. Gave up and use shop air instead.
3) The tig torch is a Euro style with a button and heat dial. It has a thick hose with a rubber cover. Durable but heavy. I found it too big and bulky to get comfortable with. Replaced w/ a standard CK 17 style torch.
4) It doesn't come with a pedal.
5) It draws a lot of power. YesWelder is a little vague on its power requirements in their advertisements. Running 6013 stick @90 amps popped the breaker on a dedicated 20 amp 220V circuit in about 30 sec. Ended up running a dedicated 50 amp circuit just for the welder.
Glad to finally see someone who welds for a living testing this welder. You've already used it for the aluminum ladder job, do you think you'll use it on any other projects.

Awesome video and based on your review as well as others, I did order the YesWelder.
However, due to very poor customer service and with the errorously charging and fraudulently collecting a city sales tax which I am not required to pay, I cancelled my order and YesWelder is providing a 100% refund. YesWelder customer service refused to refund the fraudulently collected city sales tax and stood their ground on ignorance and laziness, and "relying" on their "system" to "automatically" charge for said taxes.
PSA: I do recommend for those who have made a purchase with YesWelder to double check their invoices for accuracy of all charges. I live in the county, not the city limits, and therefore I am not required to pay a city sales tax. For charging me a city sales tax was in error. This information was in fact confirmed by me calling the "City" revenue department.
Not only did YesWelder lost the sale because of the fraudulent collection of city sales tax (in my situation), they lost a customer and any possible repeat sales.
Summer coming up , i know that business boomin!!

Does the built in compressor have to be drained of water after use?
Have you tried 7018 1/8" at about 130amps? If so how'd she do?

Aluminum brush smoke completely the other way from the joint that way it's not push into the last part of the joint and look junky at the end

you think that machine is a beast you should get a hold of a primeweld tig 225x you will have your socks knocked off I've tried a lot of affordable welder and for bang for your buck is the primeweld.
obviously you are a pipeline welder. great review though.
