for the price it's a nice knife, i'm not a fan of serrated blades but for cutting ropes it's better like you said, really good knife to use when you don't want to damage a nicer knife or to have around, i like it

Completely agree, not the best or most practical knife, but a fun one to carry around. I'm not huge on tanto blades so I agree, more for when you don't want to use a nicer knife.

For the money it is a decent knife. My local Home Depot was selling them for $14.00 from a previous $24.00! The tanto blade is really useful for scraping and chiseling and just works well as a edge shape for me personally.
Sure you can spend $170 plus on a Gerber 06 auto or Bench-made 940 Osborne “Halo” knives until you lose it at a job site and have to cough up another nearly $200 dollars . The Milwaukee is a bargain for what it can do!

I was disappointed when I got this knife today. Don't get me wrong, it is a good knife, but I thought the blade would swing freely if I held down the slide lock all the way down. You know like the fast back box cutters. When you hold the button for those the blade swings freely with gravity. I am planning on returning the spring assisted knife soon, since that was the sole purpose on why I bought it.

Yeah, I think having it say "flipper" could be a little confusing. I think the spring-assisted language helps clarify that, but I can see what you were thinking. I kind of like the spring assist since it's a different feel of knife versus the standard utility knives. Kind of a fun one to have around, but agree it's not to everyone's liking. Please hit me up with a subscribe if you can.

@@TheTruckGuy i returned the knife yesterday. I was thinking that why keep an "expensive" knife around that I am not content with. Also do you think the milwaukee fast back box cutters and hawk bill knife are legal to carry in California? I have this article talking about it, but I still don't know if they are legal to carry or not. www.classaction.org/news/class-action-takes-issue-with-sale-of-illegal-milwaukee-fastback-press-and-flip-knife

@@kobe4521 Hey kobe, it's possible that technically they are illegal under some state statute in CA (although I would check on the end result of the litigation). However, from a practical perspective, I don't see anyone getting arrested or cited for carrying a small utility knife or box cutter. That's fairly bizarre if you ask me and hard to imagine anything happening for carrying one.

@@TheTruckGuy Yeah you are right. Especially when you can buy them in the store yourself. Although you can't carry a balisong (butterfly knife), and it's a shame since I really want to take my balisong out of my home for once. Thanks for the tip. Also, I've been liking your videos so far.
If you didn't notice on the link, my comment is on their at the bottom of the page.

My spring broke! Less than 2 years? No chance to ever get replacement spring, so now I have a non-spring assisted beater knife
