I have one since 2018. Great antenna and build quality.

I used this video to assemble my antenna. The instructions that came with the antenna were of little help. The only difference is that the hardware was lettered differently from the printed instructions, so I had to make that translation. This video was very easy to follow. Thanks!

I agree, they left a lot to be desired. A lot. Took me about 2 hours to put together. Some things had me wondering like in step one the square screws need to press into the metal. Seems like it should have been square to begin with

The material is soft aluminum the steel lag bolts will cut the square into the round holes, just make sure the square hole of the inner fit aligns with the lag bolt you’re about to use. The tightening of the nut will draw the lag bolt through.

I bought & assembled the new Trifecta DatBoss LR UHF/Upprer & Lower VHF.
Easy assembly, quality build & lightweight for its size.
Best is when positioned correctly, is fantastic pulling in 2 Towers located 68.7 miles & a 3rd tower at 82 miles.
Local towers are not over-amped & are crystal clear.
I also have an Ellipse Mix last years model which is used in an almost 140* separate direction feeding the patio & living room TV sets.
The DatBoss LR feeds only a single TV which is the wife's bedroom TV & without a doubt the most important.
She went from receiving 43 channels with the Ellipse Mix to 61 Channels with the DatBoss LR Mix Trifecta plus as a bonus zero cell phone interference which was bad on 1 particular set of channels for a tower 68.7 miles distant.
Best I can say is this antenna is far & away superior to the rest. I also have a figure 8 type & gave away the dual x box type to my mother in law which are supposedly the top antennas from competitors.

At what height is your Televes mounted. Most of my channels are around 76 miles away.

This was well worth the extra money compared to one we had earlier for half the price. Mounted it in our attic and the nearest broadcast tower is 57 miles away with a row of evergreen trees in between. Not only do I get all the channels this is pointing at but get channels in the other directions that are 64 miles away. With this and Roku sticks we are able to save about $75 a month from our cable bill even after paying for a bunch of streaming services and our internet.

As for the mast connectors on the support braces, make sure they are as far to the rear of the antenna as possible, while remaining horizontal. The antenna mast will have a lot of weight on the rear side, and this will help to balance it a little.

Great video! Wish this video existed when I was assembling my antenna. Had to stumble through it with the help of only unofficial videos elsewhere. Any videos for the 148383 or 148381 antennas with the Low VHF additional elements?

I bought a Televes Dat Boss Mix antenna (LTE 700), but I don't know if I need to connect it to a power supply or if I can leave it passive? If not, did I do the right thing by buying such a good antenna?

    • @TelevesCorporation
      @TelevesCorporation  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hello @malina77pl54
The Dat Boss Mix LR works in active or passive mode, it depends on whether you use a power supply or not. The gain differences are 8.5dB vs 36.5dB (with power supply) in BIII and 16dB vs 44dB (with power supply) in UHF.
You can use the reference 5795, 5796, 5504, 5501 for EU power, or also, one EU home amplifier with power supply, for example the reference 5457xx

As for the feedline cable, I used a small cable length to attach it to the antenna. Once assembled, it is very difficult to reach in and access the cable connector! Once the full antenna was assembled, I then used a barrel connector to join the small cable length with my full feedline length.

Step #13 - "Install Dipole Assembly" - th-cam.com/video/7jvhZBRu2Xc/w-d-xo.html - If you connect the cable to the dipole assembly before sliding it into place it's a lot easier.

    Hola.

Unfortunately, this antenna is specifically designed to be used in USA, so it is not distributed in other markets such as Finland.
However, there are other alternatives such as the Ellipse MIx antenna that covers VHF band (174-230MHz) and UHF band (470-690MHz).

As for the plastic spacers for the three UHF beams, be sure to orient the spacer so the square hole on the end is at the bottom, not the top. The square hole is for water drainage, I think.

the antenna seems no better than previous shaped model oval. shape is the main antenna
    not other dipoles
why cant the other dipoles connect to where antenna wire goes...

    • @TelevesCorporation

The performance of this antenna is slightly better than the Ellipse MIX and that's the reason this model is recommend for fringe reception, few dB is a key factor when the signals are weak.
The dipole on both models share the same shape.
