1) You have an inventory where you can see you're health and items you can use like healing items. When you get hurt and bandaged yourself it's best to see how much you loose to use healing item to restore it. 2)Map shows you're squad position and objective along with enemy squads that have been spotted. 3) Best way to play is without ui. All mentioned things above help to check what to do and where to go. Only exceptions is vehicles with selective ammo to use (like tank turret), it's better to use ui to see what ammo you use to shoot (you can bind button in controls to turn ui on and off).
Oh wow thank you!! That's really helpful, i have a few more i may put out(maybe 4or5)where i did not know this. Lol but i love games where i can play without ui!!
A couple of quick hints. After you bandage hold the Inventory key (I key) That will give you a radial menu. Select a tuna can to restore health. To check your ammo hold the R key. A radial menu will appear that shows how many mags you have left. You can check bodies for more ammo, or pick up a different firearm if you want. Make sure it's the right ammo though. Kar98 ammo won't work in M1s or Sprigfields. Also pick up grenades whenever you can. You're only issued one and you always need more. You can switch between your main weapon and a secondary weapon by hitting the 2 key. Secondary weapon is usually a pistol but if you're playing an AT soldier it will switch to the AT weapon. You can check what grenades/explosives you have by pressing the G key. A radial menu will appear showing what you have. DO NOT move the mouse pointer of the centre of the menu or you will deploy what you point at. Sappers get dynamite bundles and Russian soldiers get Molotov cocktails. Hope this helps.

Easy Red 2 is such a great game, and so underrated (and priced HUGELY well!).
It really does feel so good and simple. Not over complicated at all.
