I agree with most of what you were saying about the magic. And yes, Scoot would be fun to watch surrounded by all those big men. But you made 1 mistake when you were listing the potential lineup. You included the wrong Wagner brother. I'm pretty sure you meant Franz instead of his brother. Franz is the more skilled of the 2 able to play gaurd or forward.
Nah, considering Orlando's history with their high picks, Scoot is better else where.
It would be much more relevant to compare their minutes on a 36 min basis, as gleague games are 8 minutes longer. It is almost like adding one more quarter.
Victor plays 32 mpg despite the game being shorter. Comparing stats per 36 would probably not change much.
Per game stats are essentially meaningless as your comparing between totally different leagues. The speed of play and play styles are quite different.

There’s no reason you ever take Scoot Henderson over Victor Wembanyama, no matter the team, no matter the needs, Vic transcends needs. He is a franchise of his own.

Yes there is. If a gm wants an established star over the potential to be an all time great but also the potential to be injury prone and be a bust, id take the safe option. The same way you pick a devin booker over a porzingis.
The GM who chooses Henderson over Wembanyama will have to be escorted by the police out of town unseen and of course no one will ever hire him as a GM in the NBA again.
The games in France are shorter than in the us, he will average 27-30 points if he has the same time than scoot, and more rebounds ect

I am not saying victor would be a bust but whenever I see him all i could think is knee injury. If I were responsible for choosing someone for a franchise i would go for scoot all day as we have often seen shorter players tend to work even harder and usually get along with teammates very well.

But Chamberlain, Abdul-Jabbar, Shaq, Duncan, Olajuwon, Dirk, Gasol.. or even Sabonis despite having to deal with injuries when he came to the NBA... Both teams that have a top 2 pick will get a franchise player - but no one would take Henderson over Wembanyama.
Scoot is NICE. Victor really be the ultimate unicorn, it’s insane what he can do at that height.
I will say this... whatever team gets him better also sign the dirtiest players in the league so he doesn't fall victim to them later and get injured

GREAT video, so glad somebody else has finally said it. Vic is CLEARLY an insane prospect, but the injury history of other guys his height and build is scary to me. Truthfully one of the main issues I had against Scoot is his 3pt shooting %, but now that you've confirmed how much its improved he's undoubtedly the #2 over Brandon Miller for me, and possibly #1 for a team with thr guys to put a middle finger to media pressure circus over Vic. I've heard folks already declaring him a better prospect than LeBron James.
Heavy guys have knee problems. Guys who have to jump 3 feet in the air to dunk injure their knees. Victor won't have either of these problems. He might have the lowest injury risk of anyone in the draft. The guy dunks by jumping 3 inches.
@@danelson78 foot, knee, leg, etc lower body issues many exceptionally tall guys are susceptible to these kinds of injuries. Ralph Sampson, Chet Holmgren, Yao Ming, etc.

I would choose Scoot because big men are targeted by injuries and he is score 23 point in France where you can just stand under the rim and dunk, and for blocks you can mark your player who goes into the paint and shot, then you have an a easy block. But compared to Scoot he is small and is score 21 points and 47% from three and 46% from the floor.
i think your argument of wemby could get injured is weak when we look at the injury histories of hyper athletic point guards. from guys like d rose and westbrook. to ai and gilbert arenas. i can name tons of hyper athletic guards who's games aged poorly into there late 20s and 30s due to injury. wemby is the #1 pick because if he hits he's 7'4 kd with ad like defensive instincts.

I have Scoot, Victor, Chet Holmgren, and 2 other rookies on my NBA 2K team. Just unstoppable. Completely gutted the Celtics to do it, but well worth it.

@@chapter23 ja came to the league with very good playmaking skills. He average 10 assist in college with 24 points. He always been a fantastic passer. He is very much on that level with luka. But anyways although ivey is a rookie, his skillset is below ja, and scoot. Rookie ja is way better and polished, And from what we seen from scoot well it speaks for itself. Ivey was always a less athletic but faster Donovan Mitchell with borderline B- playmaking and even than rookie D Mitch was still better than ivey when he came to the league

If I was seriously taking a number 1 to win more right away, I would take Scoot. But, if the strategy is to take the number 1 pick in order to get better leverage for future draft picks and/or trade him to get an already proven player in the NBA, I would take Wembanyama.
But, seriously, would you skip on a once in a generation guard like Scoot? Scoot will be a top 5 guard in the NBA.

The real problem with big men are their weight , they try to be way to muscular and that’s a big no for their leg and ankle in particular. Having giant who don’t become monster over 275-300 lb could become the norms for them trying to stay healthy longer , I already see peoples saying victor need to get 75-100 lb but getting so overweight could be a mistake and injured him quickly . I don’t think victor need to be more than 250 lb to be competitive his height alone is already a big advantage , and the nba is not football you’re not supposed to being having a lot of ruthless contact .

Luka said it himself overseas is harder because they don’t have a 3 second rule and a tall player can just sit in the post 🤔.... his defense game is gonna change drastically which is go affect his offensive game and the NBA is so different from overseas in every way it’s damn near like comparing the G league to the NBA

If he's playing this well in Europe with the additional hand checking and more aggressive defense, he should be fine playing in the NBA. The NBA is much more offensively geared nowadays, and with more spacing, he'll be fine. If people think Chet's gonna succeed, I don't see how people think Webanyama couldn't. (Pretty sure he's also bigger weight wise than both Chet and Bol Bol.)

I can agree with that, Scoot gives off Russell Westbrook/Ja Morant vibes. Wemby, however, isn’t a one of a kind. We’ve seen 7 footers in the 2000s slowly transform into that kind of play style. For example, Dirk, KAT, and Jokic are 7’0” with a 3 pt shot and court vision. Recently, Bol Bol at 7’2” as shown some of these skills as well for the Magic. He might be a bit taller than these guys but the concept of a center sized guard isn’t too insane in this era, just saying.
I think Henderson may be better in a long period, but you must choose Wemby cause if goes well, will be probably the Greatest of All Time

Vic is probably going to end up chronically injured throughout his career. He is WAY too skinny for his height. Guys like Shaq Kareem Hakeem etc. all had very durable frames. This guy gives off Mark Eaton/Shawn Bradley/Bol Bol vibes. I'd say it's more likely than not that he succumbs to injuries. That being said if he were to stay healthy his upside is somewhere between KD and quite possibly the greatest player to ever play (His shot is literally un-guardable). Definitely worth the risk of taking him No. One overall
