I miss my best friend who died in April. Even the annoying parts of him. But mostly, the normal stuff. The chit chat. The habit of going to visit him, and hang out. It sucks so much, you as reader, prob know the feeling. When someone is so involved in your life, and suddenly, isnt, its so weird, and life feels empty afterwards.

Quite unfortunate when two of my best friends ended their lives within a year of each other, but it's been better to focus on the great opportunity I've had to even have met such great people. No one I ever meet will ever be the same wonderful souls I've been touched by, and that only cements their legacy within my mind.
I only wish I could tell them that.
The saddest part of death is the memories that are lost, they can be carried on by the living but they too will die in time.
(All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain, time to die).

There is a theory that information is never lost or destroyed, like matter and energy. I believe our memories and experiences are also all encoded into our DNA, the majority of which scientists currently consider "junk DNA". Our experiences are also encoded and tied into the universal one consciousness.
It's an interesting theory, I hope it's true.
I think we can all agree that our DNA not only decides our physical appearance but also our personality to a degree.
I always keep an open mind and although I'm not religious in anyway, I can see why people would believe in reincarnation.
I personally believe we are alive as DNA from our parents before we are born and that DNA was passed down from generations of ancestors but when we die that's the end of the line but who knows maybe I'm wrong, I hope so.

I’ve come close to death quite a few time from being VERY premature to having epilepsy. I’ve had several 30 minute seizures over my life and almost died after giving birth to my son. I’ve kinda become ok with it. I know that I could go asleep tonight and legit not wake up tomorrow from a condition calf “sudden death on epilepsy patients. I have intractable epilepsy, which mean’s medicine can kinda control it, but not eliminate my seizures. My best advice is, do all you can to appreciate your life and the world around you. Make positive changes that you can to try and make the world better than you found it, and take time to pet your dog or cat, hug your kiddos/loved ones. Huge hugs y’all

My mum died in my arms, she had cancer, it only made my nihilism worse. I tried to connect after, I tried to make a connection to an afterlife alone in my house for weeks after, nothing. She is gone. I find this world so beautiful, complex and cruel, its so pointless. I actually cannot believe ive come to this point, where I truly believe that it is all pointless. I still continue forward, lacking the constitution for suicide. I know that I should be striving towards optimising myself, but I can't shake that cosmic nihilism. I could almost laugh at how much of a joke it all is, if it wasn't so twisted. Oh well, i'll laugh anyway
I'm really sorry for your loss, it's hard to accept that a important person in your life is gone. Though, in my opinion, life IS pointless, luckily. This means that YOU, and only you can give meaning to your life. Your own personal meaning is surely different from mine, because, simply, we are different people. She was my bestfriend for 12 years. The same pain I feel for her is the same pain that I felt when my grandparents passed away or when I didn't see my dad for 8 years.

I was this way my whole life. 18 now and have accepted Jesus Christ into my life. I have a lot to learn still but it’s changed my life. No matter how crazy or farfetched it may seem on there surface, after lots of reading and research i’ve never been more sure of something. Moments passing and memories to never be relived is scary, but only if the main point of life is to experience things, aka hedonism. it’s rlly abt being part of something bigger than yourself. I’m a terminally ill cancer patient. I find that most people have a very difficult time when I talk about my impending death & surrounding issues. I am not scared of death, nor do I see it as negative, final, or ‘the end’ of my existence. I know that the Earthly death of my physical body & ego is simply an energy transfer of my existence, which begins with shedding my physical body & ego and transforming it into another form of energy, in preparation for the next realm. I appreciate your videos on this subject. I plan to share them with my loved ones, as a tool of acceptance, not only for my death, but hopefully also for their own. I also frequently share “The Tibetan Book of the Dead” with my loved ones, which I find to be an extremely positive & helpful tool when facing & preparing for death. Death does not have to be viewed as negative or ‘final’. Instead, death may be seen as a ‘rebirth’, transcending this life, shedding the human physical body and ego, & the suffering that comes along with them, into an ‘energy evolution’, in preparation for a new & unknown realm. Energy never dies. It is only transformed. Look at a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. This a metaphor that most can understand. The death of our physical body & its ego is simply our core energy transforming, in preparation for existence in the next realm. Death may then be seen as a ‘transcendence’, vs ‘the end’. 🪬🤍📿

idk when it exactly started, but i recently started to wonder what happens to me post-mortem; not the usual stuffs, but the fact you’ll no longer conscious yet the world will still be around when i’m gone.
it’s something like ‘what if i lose my consciousness? my self-awareness? my breath and heartbeat? what if i lose me?’ and i started to wonder about it more often, esp. at midnight when i’m suddenly awaken for whatever reason and this thought just came, and i cried shortly afterwards, and go back to sleep.
idk what happened but i do already accept the fact i’m not immortal and i’ll die one day, but what happens here is something else: _why did i cry?_

Oof, I’m sorry that happened to you in the past. As a Christian, since as far as I can remember, I didn’t really fear death since I believed (and still believe to this day) that I will see Jesus and be in heaven at “the end of the tunnel”, so to speak. Sometimes, I’d go to non-Christian people or channels or organizations to see what their thoughts are on the afterlife. In my opinion, it’s pretty fascinating and tragic at the same time.

I think death is actually the blessing of life. Imagine being extremely injured, or your body is destroyed by cancer but you don’t die, instead you just keep existing in a forever, worse pain that never ends. I truly believe death is the ultimate gift to free you from a broken shell.

When our coat is no longer usable due to aging, wear and tear, we go and buy a different one. The most comfy one preferable and a good looking one is even better, if we can afford it. Same thing happens when our body becomes too uncomfortable due to aging, wear, illnesses and scarring:-) we need to change it and get a new one, preferably good looking, etc etc but we need to pay for upgrades. Not with wordly money of any sort.
Faith gives us first coins. Those who want to know, will find out. Those who are after cheap tricks and easy ways, will get that so.

This video got recommended to me right now. A day ago, i got the news that my mother's brother just died. I have seen a few deaths but this was the first time i saw my mother truly broken. That man had small kids, a wife who just saw her own father die a month ago. He was a successful business man, and he took care of everyone, never said anything bad about someone. One of the most wholesome person i have met in my life......

Not only has this video hit for me as a person always stressing about the “next” thing after this life, but also with processing the death of my brother and cousin that passed this year. These people played major roles in my life and to think that they died so young makes me feel detached from what is real in this life, that and the fact that this topic is usually skewed by people that are rigid in thinking whether you believe strongly on one side to the other (science, religion, etc) while I feel it’s in the middle of it all. I've had several loses in the last 4 years. 2 were younger than I am- my daughter, my younger brother, my Dad and an Uncle I was close to. I had a Near Death Expirience 5 years ago after a truck wreck.
Man...I lost my brother and my best friend within a Year of each other... it's been 6 Years now and it feels like yesterday still.. it fkn sucks...I still haven't shook it and don't think I ever will.. it's bullshit is all I can say. Life isn't fair and it don't play. It's cold and brutal.. can also be beautiful. But lately. It feels like the cold and brutal plays the larger part

I used to be deathly afraid (pun intended) of death. Then that fear became anger. But having seen death over and over again in a professional capacity, it made me realize that death is minuscule compared to the love of people around you when the moment comes. If you are alone when your time comes because all those you loved and loved you are gone, take comfort in knowing that you are going to where they are, wherever that will be. And the loneliness will be over. That’s just my thought. None of us has the science to back up what happens or doesn’t happen. It just does.
life and death is so hard to wrap my mind around… before you were born there was nothing you didnt exist but you did. you did exist you just didnt know nor can you remember. if your lucky you get a good 80-90 years of living and remembering and feeling and then theres nothing when you die. its hard for me to understand that after your body shuts down its black, you cant hear feel or see forever. like life on earth is a blip in the nothingness youll live in forever. i feel a lot safer in religion, some people might call religion delusional because your believing something that distracts you from reality. except there is no reality, nobody knows what happens after death so you cant prove nor disprove the realness of religion. i feel its more beneficial to be religious because it not only improves your mood on earth but it creates a safe feeling that youll be protected and that you’ll continue living forever after you die.
im fully accepted in the thought of dying, ofc i dont want to die and im scared of how i will. but if i was put in a situation where i know id die id be ok. everyday i remind myself that i could die at any moment any day while its dark it reliefs me for when death is coming. instead of thinking “im not ready to die i cant die” i feel better thinking “its my time this is what god wants”

The scariest part is that time after the heart stops and the brain stays active for 30+ minutes. We know there is a burst of activity in the region associated with dreaming, what happens during that period is the part that bothers me.
That 30 minutes might feel eternity.. that's what i am afraid of too..
The strangest comfort for myself is sometimes remembering that kings and queens, strong and week, smart and… not, have all done this long before us. They had no clue what would happen, and they all went through it. Whatever it is, at least we aren’t the first to go through it.
@@squignnewg120 What im asking myself is - would i still see or experience something, if death was instant like in near proximity to nuke going off or submarine imploding? I mean some cases of terminal lucidity seem to suggest you dont need functional brain to still act like you are fine, despite that the brain is complete toast due to dementia or what not.
Where do you get that information? Because when blood stops flowing to the brain, ITS DEAD.

We love to have long philosophical discussions about death, then go on to smash a bug without thinking twice. This is how I believe the universe regards us. It may be vast, complex, wonderful, and filled with intelligences so vast that communicating with us would be like humans trying to communicate with a pea. But it will also smash us and comtinue.
Still not over the death of my dad. Died last March in 22. Only a few years prior, it was my mother. In life and death, fairness is never an option.

Last year I lost two of my Guinea pigs whom I had the opportunity to have 6 long years with. Exactly a week before Teddy died I cried that evening so much knowing the reaper was coming soon. The day he passed, I laid on my bed with him next to me and held him close to my chest the way he always loved. After that evening a week before I didn’t cry a single tear. Not even as I held his stuff body in my hands. When his brother Patch died a month later I held him in my arms on an early morning. It was around 5am. I didn’t cry a single tear for his passing either. I only cried as I watched my sister balling her eyes out and I felt for her. I didn’t feel numb or as if anything was happening. I didn’t feel empty or sad either. I buried hun with Teddy and when I saw the corpse of Teddy I was morbidly interested and poked around at it in the back yard. It wasn’t anything weird for me and I didn’t feel a connection with the decaying corpse of a pet who had recently passed. This was in October and November 2022. I still haven’t cried over either of them. I probably never will. But as much as I feel insane for not having emotions, it doesn’t mean I don’t feel anything period. I still look at the Guinea pig cage with my three remaining boys hoping I’ll see either of my goofy little angels once again.
I used to believe that there was a language that was completely telepathic and used experiences to communicate specific ideas with the most accuracy. And the only way to understand this language was through experience. The more experience you have the easier it was to gain new perspectives and find key points to follow what you truly desire and find your place in the universe. Similar to a picture describing a thousand words. I like to imagine what that kind of person would know with thousands of years of reincarnation when he finally finds his higher self

When I went to highschool, I didn't smoke cigarettes or drink. One day at my desk for an instant I was looking at the top of my head. I didn't notice a body other than the top of my head. The desk, piece of white paper and a pencil in my hand and arm. I freaked out and was pulled back into my body as if attached by a stretched elastic band.

In my experience the reminiscing of life always makes dying harder, it's all the things your leaving, it's a good way to panic an otherwise normal situation, rather the conversation of going home, true rest, something to look forward to while definatly in the grip of ending.

Life is extremely hard and extremely painful. Its a huge struggle and if you put it all together it was not pleasant. Eventually all your family and friends will die and you will be alone. There comes a point where you welcome death.

People can't grasp the concept of death because, there is ZERO need to do so....and THAT is the complete opposite of life which we NOW experience....and the ENTIRETY of Death and nothingness....which we do not currently experience....
....I know this because, when I was 18, I went there...into nothingness...., after my heart stopped beating, temporarily.
....without a long story, I can tell you there is NO thought....there is NO fear, there is NO feeling, there is NO emotion...just weightlessness and nothingness.
....and it was THE MOST PEACEFUL experience I have ever had.
.....Im 53 now, and since that day, I LOST the fear of death....I only fear the thought of leaving loved ones who love and depend on me to ne there....

I want to have a test on those that had near death experiences but had no knowledge of religious beliefs or the common stereotyped experiences like seeing someone, seeing the light, or life flashes. Maybe there experiences will be more credible or can confirm these other experiences

@@alphaomega1351 to our understanding quite a bit of near death experiences have had them be dead long enough for no brain activity to be happening. Not sure how they can dream with no brain activity due to them being dead at this moment
I had a nde I was shot in a home invasion at 18 I was a pure orb of light floating through the most beautiful field I’ve ever seen heading towards a city that was so magnificent. I got to the gates and woke up with tubes in my lungs and intubated completely wild experience.
I have been dead at least 3 times. Only once was I conscious of being dead. ( The other times I died on the operating table & had no clue)
All I can say is that I couldn’t see where I was but people were talking to me. I didn’t know them. I wanted to stay I was blissed out for a while but then they told me I had to go back.
They didn’t think they could get me back- my lips were blue and I had no heartbeat or pulse. But I was pretty & barely 30 so they tried hard (looks always help sadly)
When I woke up I wished I had been able to stay blissed out. All I can tell you. 🤷♀️✌️

Death is not the end. We Are Spirits In The Material World - I KNOW this because when I was younger I was badly anemic and, I would faint alot in church. As a middle child raised in a large strict Catholic family, I remember how it first happened and it usually began as a feeling that I couldn't breathe.
It had a taste - like my mouth was full of wet cement, my eyes would see grey & dark patterns like checkered moving designs - at some point suddenly I was out of my body looking down at myself as my older brother and church elders would carry me outside to the cement stairs at the church entrance where my brother would help revive me. I would usually cry a bit as I came out of it.
I would tell my brother that I saw who helped carry me out as I was out cold. I could not understand why I was looking at myself and seeing other people from above.
I have NO DOUBT that ultimately I will disconnect from my body and meet God. He Will Take Me Home And His Love Endures Forever....

I was with my dad while taking his last breath. I get to watch him and be with him until the last minute. Something I can never forget. He died from cancer, suffer with pain until last minute. He fought for his life until the very end. He wanted to live to see his kids and wife another day. He’s now can rest in peace. Take care of your parents when they still alive.

Everyone upset about the gun part did not watch or comprehend that clip. This is a video about death. He simply listed the ways that you can die by a gun. Either someone shoots you or you shoot yourself. Those are facts. He did not list a stance or an opinion. Open your ears and listen. may 28th 2017 10:41 pm i was dead for 37 seconds. no pun intended, but it was life changing. i realized that whatever the otherside is, its a place i look forward to returning to. dont get me wrong im in no hurry to get there but i now know its not something to fear. however knowing there is something other than this somewhat removed a bit of the preciousness of this life. previously i was of the opinion that this life might be it, death might be the end so this life literally meant EVERYTHING to me. it doesnt anymore.

I want to believe that there is hope for us and that everything is gonna be alright. What if death isn't the end? What if after our passing our real journey begins? But death is a mystery which is yet to be discovered. Who knows what would happen to all of us

I find life to be very mysterious and strange. We didn't choose to be here but here we are, why? Are we living in a simulation or maybe what we think is real isn't.

Owning a gun is to experience true freedom. If you’ve never owned such a thing, you don’t know what true freedom is. I’m a gun owner and it’s truly an amazing feeling to know that I have the power to protect myself and the lives of my loved ones without having to gamble and rely on another to do so. Also, I have the power to put an end to myself at any time that I want.
It’s a peacemaker in action, and also, in mind.

@@sonyavincent7450well darlin, the only time you need to fear a gun, is if you fear the people inside your house. It’s the same as a knife, hammer or bat which are used more in murders, assaults, ect. The gun doesn’t do anything until the trigger is pulled.
That being said, I am more aware when I have strangers in my house. I unload my guns and keep one hidden nearby incase they have bad intentions.

I hope I can find the time to watch this entire presentation. Finally, we have the answers to all the existential questions about life and death presented in one video less than two hours in length. Until now, I have wasted years pondering these questions, studying different religions, philosophy and have watched the Meaning of Life several times and came away empty handed. But it seems you have figured it all out for us and we appreciate it. You might want to contact the philosophy departments of universities and maybe the Pope as well to let them know their services are no longer needed.

I'm not afraid of being dead because it's probably the same experience you had the billions of years before you were born.
The thing I'm afraid of is the experience/process of death because some deaths are instant while others are painful.

Most Aperture videos are dope. This one should've been condensed though. Think of scene-stealing characters like Ari Gold in Entourage (not that I loved the show, but he's a great example of what I mean). They're good because they step in, say some clever stop, then exit scene right. If you had an entire Ari show, it wouldn't work. This video suffers from the same issue. I'm sure Mr. Aperture put a ton of work into it. It's not wasted effort. I watched the whole thing. It just feels too diluted. I don't say any of this as a hater. I say it as a huge fan. When you put out these hours-long videos, you start saying that would never make the 15-minute cut: the most comforting thing about death is that it will happen to us all." This is such an amazing video, and I love how he ironically tells the Plan of Happiness found in the Book of Mormon. The part when he is explaining that we most likely existed for a long time before we came is known as the Pre-existance. We lived with our Heavenly Father and Mother. We were given the choice to come to earth. As we do, we pass through a veil of forgetfulness and have to relearn everything we once knew. Then, with those experiences, we die and go back to our Heavrnly Father again. There are so many people who don't know this, but those answers can be found and do exist in the Book of Mormon. The best part is the books are FREE!!

Really good production value on this video and it was speaking to me in the first 3rd of it. It would've been nice if he focused more on the personal aspects of death like at the beginning. When he got into the WEF talking points (pandemic, climate change, etc..) I was immediately turned off. Seemed like stealth propoganda. The truth is, we know nothing about anything. Our own consciousness is the only thing that exists. This will exist for eternity. When we die we will once again be reborn into some form within the universe. Unaware of our previous existence, we'll escape time again and again, only to be trapped within it from lifetime to lifetime. One thing is certain, and only one thing. Absolute infinity. Absolutely everything that can happen, will. Forever. Death is the biggest illusion and blue pill humans take from young. We live our lives, believing the end is the end. If we know nothing about anything, how can you then go on to make claims of what happens after we die. You contradict yourself immediately.
