I had a near death experience, I should be dead but I got lucky, cos I got to re evaluate my life and to realise what is actually important . I left the high stress high paying job to take a lesser job that allowed me to spend more time with my family . Years have passed now BUT my experience was the best thing that ever happened to me - when was the last time you went for a walk just to listen to the bird songs - try it I recommend it

I 💯 agree with ur statement, and I have had a few near death experiences, 1 more so than others, but I learned this during my recovery! I try never to forget this. When I do forget, life gets difficult!

Did your NDE absolutely convince you that you that death isn't the end for you? Do you feel comforted by your experience?

    • @robertholland7558
      @robertholland7558 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

There is no such thing as a NDE!
The human mind is extremely limited, simply because there is nothing to compare it with!
These so-called NDE are nothing but an interpretation by our limited mind of things way beyond our comprehension and understanding.

0:00 - 1) Does anything matter? (we are only a minuscule blip in time and the end will be nothing)
11:45 - 2) What is reality? (simulation theory)
25:32 - 3) Is objective morality real or possible? (moral relativism)
37:41 - 4) How does a small variable cause a big effect? is reality deterministic? (butterfly effect)
48:06 - 5) What is love? (i dont think this is a profound question. a better question would be "why does love feels like love?" what is the qualia of consciousness, i.e., the hard problem of consciousness)
1:02:56 - 6) Is free will real? (the brain controls "conscious" behavior. we are on autopilot mode)

In terms of the free will, argument, I dont fully agree that it doesn't exist, but rather, we have less of it than we think. It exists on a spectrum as with everything. We all have genetic difficulties with certain things, but we all have a level of free will no matter how small. Our decision-making is a mix of nature (our natural disposition), Nurture (how we were raised/influenced),and Free will (our limited choice to make decisions contrary to what our mind or body tells us.

"There was oxygen to breathe. There was water to drink. It's as if we were put here for a reason." SORRY, but you have it exactly backwards. What you're doing is analogous to someone saying, "Have you ever considered how the human hand fits perfectly inside a glove? It's as if the human hand was put here to fit inside a glove." It's exactly backwards. Humans evolved and adapted to this environment, we weren't "put here" like fish introduced to a new aquarium.
Incidently oxygen levels have shifted over time, which is one of the many reasons we wouldn't have survived in the Jurrasic period. Animals adapt to the environment. This world wasn't made for us, and there will come a time when our hour expires and we go extinct while other species adapt and move on without us.

Perhaps some of us are unaware that it's not a coincidence that we live in a world perfectly suited to a particular group of Black people. Remember, according to science so-called non-black people have only been on the planet for six to ten thousand years and have no natural origins.

And of course, there is no win to Life. There is always lose. End. No permanence. Only to be experienced as long as you are inexplicably aware.

Our concern over uap or alien visitors increases proportional to our belief that we are capable to visit other planets from earth.

I feel like asking what the meaning of life is is a lot like asking if a peanut butter sandwich is a fast airplane, it's just not really a valid question I guess?

I think the issue with discovering aliens is a time vs mass extinction event. X amount of time is needed for any species to develop intergalactic travel, and that time will always be cut short by an unavoidable mass extinction event. Even if the casualty rate isn't 100%, it would be severe enough to reset a civilization hundreds if not thousands of years. Consider it a great filter that cannot be overcome.

I love this question most of all: what is love? Though I am a poet, I neither wax poetic or philosophical when I say that love is not a choice nor is it like any other emotion save its antithesis, hate. This is not hyperbole without merit, moreover a belief that I have not had disspelled. Love is one of two emotions, feelings, whatever you want to call it unlike any of the others. Happiness, sadness, fear, and doubt are indeed fleeting. Whether it is a bioelectric response or chemical arrangement, these emotions will pass as quickly as they began. Not so with love...
"Why do you love me?" A common question in many relationships. Truthfully, there is no answer than to say plainly, "Because I do." It is not widely accepted as an appropriate response. The querist is likely asking you more "What is there about me to love?" or "Does your affection match those things I think are worthy of affection?" Accepted or not, if you are true to yourself and your beloved, it will be the only answer that makes sense.
I love those I am no longer with as much as I did when I was rapt within them. I may not like them or indeed may find them despicable, but my love never changed. Not more, not less... Just love. All I can do is choose how to acoommodate that love... or ignore it.
Ultimately, love is the beginning and will exist as long as we do. All we can do is live with it, choose the best and appropriate course for dealing with it, so love well, and live well.
Thank you so much for being brilliant where I could only hope to shine!
    Respectfully,
    j.

... " love is not a choice nor is it like any other emotion save its antithesis, hate".
      Not so.
The antithesis of love is apathy. So much worse than hate.
