I really like it. The 1st part was rushed at some point, like Spider Mask is revealed to be Jeramie-the story teller in the same episode he debut. The show could have him hanging around Desnarak since ep 1 to build up the mystery
Ok so the thing about gactainsects messing around, and why I personally found them to be great villains, is that's the point. They are god-like beings that have never had any threat to their existence, they've been able to manipulate and destroy entire worlds all because they can. That's what makes them work as villains for me at least, they don't need a plan they just mess around because they can. And as part 2 goes on we actually see Dugded begin to plan as he realizes the King-ohgers are a threat to his continued existence. So yeah I liked them because they play with the concept of are they really powerful or have they just never been threatened before.
Really doesn't help the fact that Ninninger till Zenkaiger sans Kiramager that most of the time, the writing can be downright boring and uneventful (no thanks to Junko Komura) and even borderline reaching levels that even gets to something that was stuck in the 90's when we could be talking about where the powers come from or what about other worlds to shake things up. King Ohger is thankfully a series that is hellbent on giving us soooo many details that it's one of THE MOST AMBITIOUS Sentai seasons to come out in the history of not only Sentai but tokusatsu possible.
For me the highs of King Oh-ger were so high that I honestly didn't even mind the lows of it that much. The characters especially were so good that it easily bounced up to being my favorite sentai and having my favorite red and sixth.
Honestly, the 2nd half was my favorite part of the season because of the villains. They may not take things seriously, but they have no reason to. When two of your main antagonists have had nigh omnipotent power and one of the generals was able to unleash something as deadly as the Fury of the Gods, it makes sense why they’d look at Chikyu as a playground they can use to toy with lives on a whim. Plus, the idea of each general taking over each kingdom and each of the Kings having to go through one massive struggle after the other just to reclaim their lands was something I adored and helped add even more depth to characters like Jeramie and Kaguragi. Sure the initial episodes exploring Chikyu post timeskip were off, but once the plot ramps up again it hits huge highs that far exceed its lows.
Jerameis throne room was just a place Rita gave him as land to become king, and his sacrafice was more about the bonds between bugnarock and humans than about giving up his kingdom in its entirety, just their political relations, pretty sure he's still chilling in his cave after that episode. do wish we got to see more bugnarock foot soldiers having lives tho
Dagded was probably the most overpowered Sentai villain in recent history, if not EVER, because they had to literally punch a hole through the fabric of reality to defeat him.
@@youraveragemachine1013god in zenkaiger is really powerful, but we never actually see his true power(besides make countless alternative world and possessed someone), his final battle is just jankenpon with Kaito and lose. meanwhile we can see how powerful dugded is in the series, he can and already destroy a planet with civilization in it just because he thinks it's interesting, the only reason why kingohger can defeat him is because he the one who give the the ability to kill him(by giving that ability to racles sword) and then that ability is copy by Yanma to other kingohger calibur, just imagine if he never give that ability to racles sword, there is no way kingohger can defeat him.
@@kaizeremperaiga1807 Yea... they literally use his own power to kill him. Without his power, probably no one can defeat him. U know the villain is overpowered when the only way to kill him is to use his own power. Also the reason dugded lose is becos he "having fun" too much. If he serious from the start, king-ohger lose long ago...
I just think that the highs were so good that the lows don't really bother me, and I love Dugded as a villain because he's a god like being who can destroy the whole world if he wants to, but doesn't do it because there's no fun in it. And the jesters follow that mentality, they're there to to play around, and realized a little bit too late that the kings were a real treat.
The Galactisects are like Homelander in a way they think they are the biggest and badass ones around like a schoolyard bully until a real one steps in and puts them in their place.
It’s always great to hear opinions that differ from myself and the general consensus. I can totally see why KingOhger wouldn’t be for you. For me though, it’s actually in a tie for my favorite toku of all time. At around episode 15 I definitely wasn’t expecting that, it was a great show don’t get me wrong, but I couldn’t see it being anywhere near my favorite. With each successive episode after that, it just got better and better for me though. I personally grew to love all the characters as a concept. Yanma as an underdog, Jeramie as a peace warrior, Himeno as selfish for the sake of herself and everyone around her, etc. The direction of the story was also very interesting. Many tout it as repetitive, but I felt what was repeated felt repeated for a valid reason. It did a lot to flesh out the show’s already intriguing world and lore, and handled everything in the most satisfying way possible. But I think what I truly loved is how many heartwarmers it had. The show was just filled with those moments in grandiose situations which made me just feel hopeful. It nails what super Sentai does best by doing that, which I think is the greatest strength of the show: It does what Super Sentai is in the best way possible, win spite of the fact that it goes in such a new direction for the series. I really couldn’t ask for more. The show progressively, through all the story hype, through all my love for the characters, through all the great moments, kept climbing my ranking. From just a great show, to an S tier show, to a top 5, and now, by the end, a show I can say means a lot to me and is up there with Ryuki and Shinkenger in what I’ll call my holy Trinity…
I think the creator expected super sentai to finally take risks and be mature and yeah i get it too but we should already be thankful to toku for even considering things like fantasy politics, the jesters were valid tho , could have been sm more but the bugnarock part was hs bs , they played their part and it was good
This comment is pretty long, :3 Honestly, King-ohger is now become my fav sentai. I really loved this show for many reasons. I still misunderstand why this series is not 100% high for you. King-ohger has mature plot that different from past sentais. Secret of gira birth ep43 is probaly one of the best episode in entire franchise. There is so many great episodes. Also i really liked how this series has fewer fight and action scenes compared to past sentai series and it feel mainly focus on storytelling rather than fight scenes. I accept king-oher is generally kid show but the series's plot and storytelling are 100% not like a kid show. The secret of gira mother is pretty dark and also racles pure evill actions in first half is so dark for childs. I heard the series is very popular in japan when it aired. This series gained high ratings and viewership when it aired on sunday weekend on tv asahi and trending twitter on every week. Even the celebrities in japan are also enjoy this show. This show ranked third place on japanbuzz award. The drama between racles and suzume is also peak. Also some dialouges are still weird for childs. ( like racles dialouge peoples are tool i am country :3 ) i accept that king-ohger has some flaws. Ep13 is probaly one of my least fav episode of all time. But i also heard goofy scenes in this series are for kids. Because sentai is generally kid show so they have to do king-ohger for still enjoyable for childs. So, they added goofy scenes because king-ohger plots and storytelling are still very high for childs. The writer of king-ohger said in past interviews he wtite king-oher as a mature season and not childish. He also said he added quite dark scenes im king-ohger. The series maked me feel that the show mainly aims at adult because of mature storyline. Politic plot is a very rarely plot that we haven't see many in sentai, king-ohger use that plot and the relation ship between kings and people is very enjoyable. There are still many great and good things about king-ohger. I even don't understand why you enjoy this show 100%. At least this show has better and mature storytelling than your top series zenkaiger, kiramager and ryusoulger. :3 Don't angry me about i talked my opinion. Honestly i don't really liked your king-ohger review but i am a still your fan. waiting for boonboomger ep1 review when it aired. :)) you are still one of my fav toku youtubers.
King-Ohger was such a ride for me. The highs constantly outweighed the lows. Kaguragi's backstory episode was peak TV, IDC what anyone else says. And the finale of this show was just... *Chef's Kiss*
If i'm gonna rank every Reiwa era Super Sentai season, it would be like this : 1. King Ohger (9,4/10) One of, if not the best seasons of all. The charactet was awesome, the story was great, the world building was top notch, the visual was stellar, the music was FIRE, the aesthetic, almost everything about it was "CHEFF KISS". With that said, it still had it's flaw. Me personally my biggest problem for this season is the pacing, it move way to fast for my liking (but at the same time managed to fot every story arc that was introduced almost perfectly), the Buganarak as a villain faction was underwhelming, some of the jokes & writing desicion just didn't work out for me. 2. Don Brothers (9/10) This season is just wild. I think the best thing about this season is defenetly the cast, i just love the Don Brothers cast & enjoy a lot of their goofy shenanigans. I also love how chaotic this season is in a really good way. A lot of the monster in this season have arguably one of my favourite that Sentai have ever made. With that said, i think we can all agree that Don Brothers barely even have a story to begin with, sinces it just basically just revolve around all the crazy shenanigans that Tarou & his team experience (even if ot had a story, the show tend to forget a lot of those element that was introduced sinces day-1 in favour of the whole chaos the show made). I think if you enjoy show like Gumball (later season) & to extent Teen Titans Go then you probably gonna love this season, if not then yeah this season ain't for you. 3. Kiramager (8,7/10) This show was just creative. I really like the cast, the aesthetic, the story, everything about this show is just fun, simple, & really enjoy to sit through. This seasons also fix a lot of issue people had with a lot of previous season that came throughout 2010's after Gokaiger even end (including the whole Red Centrism problem that plagued the franchised in recent years). My biggest problem with this season is defenetly the comedy, i just not a fan with a lot of the jokes in this seasons. 4. Zenkaigers (8/10) Now despite being the last, i don't really hate Zenkaiger, i still think it's a fun season. But compared to the other three seasons of Reiwa era, this show pretty much lacked the "Sauces" that make the other seasons Reiwa great to watch. First of all, i really enjoy the cast of this season (Kaito was just ok in my opinion while Starceasar carried the show), the story was simple & fun to enjoy, the world building looks cool, the family theme, and i really love some of the reference to a lot of the past season of sentai this show had. However, i do admit the show can get a bit goofy at times for my liking & the anniversary aspect of this season didn't really go as hard as let just say Gokaiger. But overall, i still enjoy it, but not as much as the rest.
I know I didn't get into Sentai until Zenkaiger, but King-Ohger was a peak Sentai in my opinion. The fact that they were willing to step away from a typical Sentai season storywise and explore themes that were never done before (bugs, royalty), and the fact that they went beyond the gender binary with one of the rangers makes it the best from the ones I have seen so far.
I have said this multiple times, and I will say it again : King-Ohger is my favourite Super Sentai Show. They will forever be my favourites. They have managed to be so grand, I am not sure if Boonboomger will be able to be this high as King-Ohger has gone to. Also I want to point out, that, THIS IS HOW YOU DO A "SUPER SEASON". I feel like this is what it should have been if this was a Power Rangers season. Episode 1-26 is the 1st Season & Episode 27-50 is the "Super Season". In the end, I love King-Ohger overall, I can't wait to see them in the 2 crossovers. But for now, Fare the well, KINGOHGER 👑⚔️
•Considering that King Ohger is a kind of political satire, it is quite successful for its genre and explains the message it wants to give very well. •The story is overall solid and it's the kind of season that will attract the attention of older audiences. I can't call this a kids show because the subject and the scenes it contains are a bit too heavy. •King Ohger's main problem (in my opinion, the issue where it failed) is the low sales rate it achieved as a result of the wrong policy they followed regarding toy sales. As if it wasn't enough that this season didn't have its own gimmick, they released all the toys and items related to the season in the first half, leaving no toy list left to release for the second half. Despite this, it achieved a sales rate of 5.5 billion, but this is a serious problem when we take into account this season's high budget of 2 billion. •The characters are generally unique and interesting, but other than Ran and Jeremy (who were amazing), there were no characters that stood out from the franchise that I would rank as favorites. Lately, though, yellow/orange rangers have become very solid and likable characters, so much so that all yellow rangers except Gaon in the Reiwa season have become my favorites.
I love King-Ohger and it's in contention as my favorite Sentai, and the reason is this: it's one of the best at actually sticking to it's main theme of 'a king is nothing without their people'. At no point do any of the kings betray their people. At no point does it feel like their kingdoms are not their foremost priority, and it all comes back for a massively good payoff in the finale arc.
The reason we don't see much of Jeramie's Bugnarak Kingdom is because they didn't fully acclimate yet - it was a work in progress. I do agree that it would have been nice to have more in the background stuff with it though
King Ohger did a lot of things differently than a lot of any other Super Sentai such as… 1. Having the story take place on a different planet instead of Japan, Earth. 2. Finally do an insect theme Sentai. 3. Have a purple ranger as a core ranger 4. Finally have a sixth ranger that isn’t gold or silver 5. Do a time skip 6. Have the battles take place in fantasy esc settings like an industrial kingdom, a technologically advanced city, a fairy tale castle, a snowy fortress, a feudal Japanese castle and an underground system. Sure the next Sentai, Boonboomger will take place on earth again, but at least the Sixth Ranger will be purple for the first time, it would be even better if the sixth ranger is female.
About the pacing of King-Ohger's 1st half: I believe that the leaks of Kuwagata Ohger's King form, and Caucasus Beetle Castle's robo form are the ones who's responsible for the 1st half's pacing and i also believe that Desnarak was supposedly to be the final boss of the series if the leaks didn't surfaced But when the leaks came out real fast either Toei or TV Asahi did an Ingenious move to make the series having a "2nd Season" that take place a few years later and introduced a new faction of villains who were basically deities that controls everything in the universe AND SOMEHOW IT WORKS King-Ohger would be your STANDARD not that good-not that bad Sentai series if the leaks didn't came out and if the series just sticks to the Human VS Bugnarok story Not that i'm assuming that was actually the scenario of both Toei or TV Asahi when the leaks came out but given that the series goes on an interesting route (Which is the 2nd half) i wouldn't be surprised if that actually happened
Not really. They are already planned not make desnarok to final boss of the series. Minato takano already planned a chapter two for series in beginning. He planned to dagded as a final boss while king-ohger before airing.
Well I think the initial second part serves as a introduction to the main villains and their powers. They are shown to be a huge threat to chikyuu even without dugded. Each of them are extremely dangerous and potentially can easily wiped out chikyuu if not for kingohgers there to defend. And in my opinion it also shows how dangerous dugded are just with having such a powerful jesters. And their only real weaknesses are their tendencies to mess around rather than being serious, as yanma ever said that if they get serious , chikyuu would have been wiped out easily. I liked that the big bad are shown to be a huge hurdle for the protagonists to overcome. I don't like if a show showcases the big bad's power on their final battle only to be immediately defeated because it leaves the impression that the villain's power aren't that threatening. I love that the show have the heroes live under the villain's presence. While my only complain that the King's proof and their Fangs of Defiance form isn't really used fully as I hoped for. I would've hoped that they would shown the combined power of these two power to defeat dugded.
As for the season I think it is waaay better season than you given credit for. IMO zenkaiger felt very dull with the weirdest finales. LuPat isn't really for me, and donbrothers were really good story and character wise, but I wouldn't rank it above kingohger because of blatantly bad cgi and fillery mecha fights that I would skip and still not missing much, aswell as the beastial arc's dragged on for too long and the payoff doesn't quite satisfy me. Kingohger has a lot of unique things which is a massive plus for me who's absolutely not liking zenkaiger despite it's an anniversary season due to personally not invested with the kikainoids. I hate it when certain villain overshadows the big bad when it comes to impact for the main character. I understand that certain villains are better than the other, I wished that sentai villains have the same impression as the anti-hero. I agree that Jeramie's kingdom could have been introduced way more properly because I was also curious about what his kingdom looks like. And correct me if I'm wrong but this is the only sentai to have a canon movie which I love because it felt more rewarding to watch not just a really good sentai movie but also being able to tie-in into the main story.
As someone who hasn’t watch Sentai for a while and weekly ( last time I did that was Lupinranger vs Patenranger which I stop watching around episode 20s) King-ohger is definitely a great season since there’s so many highs and awesome moments but I can’t deny that this season have some low lows and understated why Thomasjujube is frustrated at many parts of it
This series made me interested in Sentai again. Gokaiger was excellent, but a recurring issue I had with newer seasons were that the mythos and sensibilities of the show, like the Mecha, weapons, and villains felt specifically catered to sell toys. Obviously, this series was built to get people into the merchandise, but earlier seasons felt like the above were more like extensions of the heroes. The stories felt compelling and it gave the impression that merchandise sales came second to the storytelling. Sentai always had goofy elements, but the newer series have an over-reliance on oversaturated colors, weapons that don't feel like weapons, villains that didn't feel like they belonged in that series, and are trying way too hard to appeal to kids instead of a wider audience. This series brought me back to wondering what's going to happen next.
Stumbled onto this while watching Geats and i enjoyed what I've seen just need to finish it. The story is great but after chapter 2 i was seriously sold. It would've been a bit better had certain backstories been fleshed out more yet it still is a great season. Great video and keep up the awesome work
Considering I hated Donbros with a passion since the first 10 ep, but very much have loved Kingohger every time I've seen it, yeah I think this one worked like a charm
Actually, i see no issue on the 2 years timeskip for the bugnarok kingdom. They lived underground for 2000 years, what is there to see, underground??? What i see is that the timeskip focused on HOW the bugnarok as a species have changed, rather than how their environment did. They became more relax, more accepting, and more kind towards the other kingdom. But yeah totally agree on how they did not expand more on the world building during the 2nd half of the show. The kings even ended up in jail because of the random crime they did. The writer also need to give "space" to introduce the galactic king and continueing the story so it is just a situation of this or that. Things could go on better if they have like 5 more extra episodes but hey it already ended right :"(
PapillonOhger is my favorite suit. Gira has to be ONE OF THE BEST RED RANGERS, EVER. Jeramie was great. Standout was Racules. He played the role of the villain while secretly being the true hero Literally everything in this season was GREAT!
I agree. Since the first 40 episodes, I just hated Racules, not because of his character, but because he was a villain, and a good one at that. But the moment Episode 41 hit, I just said, "I take back everything I said about this mf". And the funny thing is is that not just myself, but others had a feeling that Racules was gonna turn good one way or another, even though said character was never truly evil, but was playing the part for 17 whole years, just to destroy an even bigger villain, in which being Dagded.
The 1st part is a little shaky for me, but the second clean up most of the inconsistencies. For example: In Hymino's original flashback, the villain that caused the Fury of the Gods wore the same spider mask as Jeramie, that's why she tried to kill him, but later when we meet the culprit he doesn't & have never wear a mask(the flashback was retcon to reflect this with his face clearly shown)
@@thomasjujube Sorry my mistake, Glodi face was hidden by the shade of his hood. But still if she already seen Glodi face, why did she claimed Jeramie s responsible for everything & tried to kill him, at most he's an accomplice & the only one that know about her parents killer
@@Anderegg2007 Yes I know about the Cicada, as I said it only proved he's connected to the incident because Hymino has seen Glodi's face, so for all she knew Jeramie is just an accomplice & the only one can give her4 any info on Glodi
The only fail i can see here is that they did absolutely nothing in second half of the series for mecha merch aside from recolored existing mecha. They could have done another 4 sub weapons or another separate form with different insects, or maybe a different insect combiner altogether as is normal with Sentai. I'm not sad about it per se, as its lighter on my wallet after getting DX God Kingohger, but i feel like it was a quick burn for the mecha and that didn't feel very good.
Dugded is basically a god, you can't kill him and he can destroy the universe if he wants, but he doesn't want to it right now, the same goes for his minions, and they create a complete unstable team like the king-ohgers but mirror, like Dugded and Gira are the strongest but silly, the ninja has a great ego like yanma, groodie and his power to bring back the death with himeno, her trauma and quest to save lives, kaguragi with his swicthing side is why he hirubil and her mind control can't work on him, rita with her nutrality goes a long with kamejin and minogan with his strenght and sometimes super inteligence against the agile and strategic moves of jerami That's how they work and its what i love about them
Great video Thomas! I mostly agree. The second half did not live up to the promises of the first, and only picked itself back up in brief sprinkles (the Kyoryuger crossover, the return of Big Racs, and the endgame against Douglas). While the charm is still definitely there alongside a lot of great character focus (thanks to Big Racs yet again), it feels much more limited by the episodic Sentai formula. Ohsama Sentai King Ohger gets a 9 for ambition with 6 in execution. Its serialised nature makes the slice-of-life moments more frustrating (especially in part 2), leading to intriguing elements of its lore feeling underdeveloped or rushed. Especially the absence of a Bugnarak kingdom compared to how fleshed out the other five are.
I dont know, but for me, its the best sentai since Gokaiger and Shinkenger. makes me excited to watch every week. Donbros is also good too because of focus to chars rather than the plot itself.
I think the next series going back to basics is kinda of a good thing, considering how big King-Ohger was a series, and we fans think a nice little break is all we need.
"Please tell me why you love King-Ohger", does not respond to comments why they love the show and only responds to people with the same opinion. Like c'mon man, if you're gonna be a reviewer, at least be fair. The season has some highs that no Sentai has never reached before, despite its lows, you would still commend them from trying. Zenkaiger, your fave season, does not even attempt at exploring the other rangers beyond Zox, Kaito, and Stacey.
First of all, that’s just completely wrong, I’ve responded to both kinds of opinions. Second of all, you’re quoting me asking for people to share their opinion. Where in that sentence is it mandated that I have to reply to both sides? You’ve just added this arbitrary requirement that actually has nothing to do with my review. The reason I asked for people to tell me why they liked the show is so I can read it and get some insight, which I do, I’ve read every single comment. And if you watch the video you’ll see I acknowledge the season has plenty of good moments. So I’m not sure why you’re making all this up. Have a nice day.
To me KingOhger has WAY too good characters (can't think of one I don't like, not even the galactic insects) for me to see many of the downsides of the show. Like I see where you're coming from with the gag episodes between cliff hangers but I like those because they not only show more characterization but also mimic real life. I'm sure you've been having a serious conversation that got interrupted by someone making a dumb joke that wasn't appropriate for the tone of the conversation. It's just kind of real life and adds realism to the show for me. (I like how the galactic insects come in and take over the countries of the kings with opposite ideals to them. Grogy kills life in Ishabana, the white guy takes Gokan too silly, the girl ruins the gang relationship Yanma had going, and I don't remember for Kaguragi but it was probably cool.)
i like how the series just kept going stronger and stronger a few filler episodes but still good my only critique i didn't really like the kyouyuger crossover im sorry i love the series but it felt kinda rushed but other then that it showed you can have a series set on a different planet and be original the mecha were fine the suits really reminded me of kamen rider all in all i recommend it to any sentai fan
Damn Thomas , I actually 100% agree with almost everything you said in this review !! The main thing I want to point out is however , how absolutely stupid Dugdedd is as a villain . Just like you said , I am also all for villains that like to goof around while still being the epitomy of evil , like Evol from Kamen Rider Build . However , unlike Evol who actually had a consistent plan and actively messed with everyone , while no one could even SCRATCH him , Dugdedd gets outsmarted by everyone in Chikyuu . His actions are so mindnumbingly stupid only because he is SHOWN to have the power to actively manipulate spacetime itself -if not by himself then with the help of his other teammates- , YET SOMEHOW HE STILL LETS THE KINGOHGERS DEFEAT him !! Evol was 5 steps ahead of everyone , but Sento was 10 steps ahead of Evol . In Kingohger Dugdedd just LETS the kingohgers beat his ass and it feels dumb !
While I agree Dugded wasn't a great villain, it was shown early in his introduction that he's essentially an almighty child who's bored and passing his time killing ants. Intelligence isn't what makes him a threat, power is. And I actually prefer him to Evol. Every time the Build team deals any defeat to him, he comes back next episode and acts like getting his ass handed to him helped him and he's actually oh so much more powerful. Happening once is fine. Happening almost every episode made him sound like he was just bullshitting.
I love how the four other members aside from gira have character traits that parallel eachother and it bounces so well off one another. Although it looks like yanma is somewhat like a leader, and gira seems like he doesnt fit in. Ultimately, Gira is their mother and it shows given that he basically raise the kids in the orphanage.
Honestly, I love this show but I do have to agree with you on the whole Bugnarok kindom in the 2nd half because it's such an unfulfilling thing to see Jeremy "sacrificed" himself and a country that we know nothing about just to save the other 5 kingdoms. On a side note since I don't see anyone (at least in the west) talks about the fact that after episode 49 aired and KingOhger was trending as per usual in Japan, Deka Green's actor created a hashtag and a movement asking Toei to make a movie version combining episode 48, 49 and 50 for theaters. This movement was so big that it lasted for about a week and even some of the production staff like the head writers and the guys incharged of the sound department even jokes on X about adjusting the audio for theaters. Of course after episode 50, we did get the announcement that a TTFC exclusive director cut movie of the three-part finale will come out on another date while they're considering the possibility for the theater version
We ended of Kingohger the battle is not done yet 2 more enemies will team up with Donbrothers and Kyoryuger crossover sooner Kingohger team up boonboomger before 49th super sentai as commemorate Ninninger 10th anniversary and 50th anniversary super sentai.
This was the first Super Sentai series I’ve ever watched, having picked it up as I watched Geats. I have to agree that while I liked it ultimately, the abuse of blue screen sets was jarring and the plot really meandered with the Galactinsects (milk bugs?). Racules was by far my favorite thing in this series. I loved all his plotting and I genuinely cheered when he turned on Doug. He’s very Tyrion Lannister. We need more characters like him in fiction.
To me, king ohger felt like a sequel series to kyoryuger, the mechs feel similar enough, when I seen their suits next to each other and the kyoryuger power up, their suits looked closer to kingohger suits. Even the tones were very similiar
I totally agree with you. Around the middle is where the series became a bit of a slog, especially when gira became a king. I think my thing is that I'm very main-character focused so when the main character of the season isn't hitting any boxes I tend to zone out. And Gira was just NEVER hitting boxes. His tyrant king schtick felt like his whole personality and he felt pretty much carried by the rest of the cast. I was okay w/ it at first but when the second season hit and we never got to really see Gira be a king it kind of placed him really low on my Red Leaders list. Himeno is still top tier though.
There were two MASSIVE problems with this show: 1. The green screen created an issue with the field of view. The ground would be blurry even if it was up close, and often times, there were no realistic shadows and that took me completely out of it. 2. This show ended like 4 times. It felt like they wrote 4 different seasons and they stuffed them all into the same season. I had to stop watching it a couple of times and come back because they just kept ending the show and picking it back up.
with practically the end of power rangers i’ve been watching more super sentai and all i can say is that power rangers could never adapt a season as cool as king ohger. sentai puts their heart into experimenting. and that’s why they succeed. from the music production, costume designing, sound effects, and just overall writing and theming. all power rangers can do is make more generic teenagers fighting aliens as they play “go go power rangers” music over and over again. watching kingohger felt like being immersed in a new world. i’ve even watched episodes without subtitles just for the sake of appreciating the aesthetics and theming. i mean come on, look at the cast. they look so cool.
Yeah the bugnarok thing is my worst part to me in the second half.... like the whole thing of the last few episodes of the first arc was that bugnarok and humans are equal and the both live together in harmony... but a few episodes later: *King-Ohger's casually slaughtering some sanagims* like I get they are supposed to be "Dead corpses bought back to life" but damn.... I wish the Uchu had their own footsoldiers or atleast modifying the sanagim suits to indicate that they are corpses... even with the Kinbaejim episode... like even the humans were hunting the kings and so did kinbaejim... but only the latter was mercilessly killed by the King-Ohgers.. so yeah sorry for the rant about the thing about the role of bugnarok in the second half... imo you know how the sanagim were in the final few episodes? like talking and coexisting with humans? That's how the bugnarok of the entire second half should've been...
It would have been cool to see the suits outside more but it kinda scares me what would happen with The Spider Kumonos Suit cause we all know what happen with the Fourze base state suit and how many they needed for the time
I think king ohger is a story that would be so much better if it’s not a toku series. Like imagine a king ohger netflix series or king ohger anime. Like it’s already tried new thing and set itself apart but is ultimately still held back by the fact that it’s a super sentai show
i never was much into sentai im more of an kamen rider guy but as my first real sentai and not power rangers season king-ogher was peak for me i cant point out how but i somehow like how all the side charakters (atleast in my opinion) feel natural and not as over obundent than most other series my most favorite dynamic was between Yanma and jeramie cause it reminds me of an dynamic i have with an friend one of my few gripes i have with the season although is that i though designwise that the kingohger mecha was a bit cluttered with stuff just "to many parts"
If I'm gonna ranked my favorite Super Sentai season, it would be like this: 1) Shinkenger 2) King-Ohger 3) Gokaiger 4) Zyuohger 5) Magiranger 6) Lupinranger vs Patranger 7) Zenkaiger 8) Kiramager 9) Go-Busters 10) Goseiger
The thoughts are pretty much the same. If Donbrothers was the MOST Sentai has ever been, then Kingohger was definitely the most ambitious Sentai. They've been experimenting a lot lately and it definitely shows. For all intents and purposes, Kingohger was a Sentai that will be remembered. Honestly? I have my problems with Kingohger too, but those are just because I feel like in its experimentation, they kinda just forgot to tell a cohesive story in the end. At some point, I got so god damn confused with Kingohger I think I just straight up dropped it for a like a good few weeks. For what it's worth, we should at least commend it for what it attempted. God Kingohger is such a clusterF of a mecha since Samurai Ha-Oh I think I might actually want to try on the suit just to feel its weight.
I mostly agree with what you have said. I appreciate the use of new technology but how the backdrops were done always feels like the characters were floating, especially when there's big movements during fight scenes. It's jarring and distracting. so much so that during the kyoryuger crossover, I loved the fight scenes there and no over reliance of slow mo effect (another thing that bugged me). Loved that there's no shoehorned mandatory mech battles if it's unnecessary. Racles is basically the Snape of the series. You love to hate him and turns out he's playing the long game and is actually the good guy. I'm somewhat glad they didn't kill him as usually this kind of character dies as part of their redemption. The silly parts do get jarring, but sometimes I personally do the mind them. Although the one that still bothers me is that stupid mat that makes fart noises and they were trying to humiliate racles with it and I'm like... what kind of 3rd grade logic is that!?
This is gonna be hella biased but I love this series, faults and all- I can acknowledge these faults but i still think it is my favourite sentai. (Its a short list, I'm kinda new) but my bias comes in for what it represents to me. I was at a really bad point in my life, I had given up alcohol after 6 years of drinking to bury my depression and anxiety. I had to really fuck up to see how far I had gone. With the lack of alcohol (An alcoholic at 20, love the UK) these feelings came back with new stuff I don't want to get into and suicide was on the table for some time. And then King Ohger came along. And suddenly every week I had... Something to look forward to, I was invested in these flawed Kings who are trying to do good by their people. And I felt tied to them all, Jeremy and big Racs especially. I just... Couldn't not fall in love. Seeing these characters and the plot and the action, it kept me sane. Faults and all, King Ohger means so much to me. I'm sad to see it go but happy to have had it in my life. Maybe it was right time and right place but... I'll miss this show. I really will. You all deserve a happy ending.
I think what helped king ohger was that donbrothers were all over the place and too wacky and confusing at times to where king ohger was more simplified, yes there are twists and plot changes but its much more easier to watch as the story was fairly simple for the most part, plus every king had a lot of lore behind them and the world which ,ade you want to support them, plus this was the first sentai in 2 years to not use guns and powers from former sentai
bigg RACs and the secondary powerups were the2 parts of this show that didnt fully feel fleshed out to me in the end .. everything else wa actually fine and bareable ... astonished at how well the acting was thru out the whole season but the one thing i wanted was a staple fight where we can see them used the 2nd forms fully without drawbacks, the last fight atleast all out hack and slash WE DONE WITH THIS BULL slaying but no... while big racs was there in a cage and he did go help here and there... i feel the only one who he needed to redeem himself with was PrezYamma anyways but having that one moment fully fleshed out, or even raccs helping the bugfolk learn how to be civilized would have completed his circle for me
Am I who wanted a op villain who absolutely destroy the Sentai even in the final episode to the point he said it was so boring to be actually the final boss that he created a false copy of himself to be the Sentai member to defeat him?..Dadged is probably the best villain out there that toyed with Sentai and because his attitude beat the hell out of him.. Lately with power of friendship and bla2 make the villain feel like fairy tail level battle with bosses.
So, we could've gotten the very first Super Sentai season with six Rangers at the beginning rather than three or five or four Rangers at the start. That would've been interesting to see six Rangers uniting together and fighting off against villainous monsters and stuff...
Well I mean we technically already had two sentais with six rangers at the start, Lupinranger vs Patranger, which is a technically because it's two teams of three but it's still six rangers, and kyuranger which is kinda cheating because it was a base team of 9 so more than six
I feel kingohger earned my top 4 spot for me, so its that good imo, top 3 is shinkenger, , top 2 is Dekaranger and my top 1 is still Gokaiger, so i advice you watch Gokaiger when you have the time
Yeah, no real bad characters also very experimental. Probably won't see another Green Ranger for awhile unless its a Gorenger line up due to the green screen stuff.
idk but it seems that every single toku youtubers out there are trying to be hipster and cringey with their reviews towards King-ohger. I dont know if its because you guys dont really want to give full praise or just trying too hard to be contrarian to the 99% of the mass that loves the show. If its good, just say its good without nitpicking bunch of flaws that didnt actually happened.
First of all, if you want reviews that aren’t “hipster and cringey” make sure you go check out videos from my friend KezzaHenshin who loved this show. Second of all, I am literally just giving my honest opinion. I think the show is good but I have many many problems with it. And it is well documented with my short reviews that I am not trying to a contrarian, some of these have been my views since those episodes aired. Let’s not make things up here.
"If its good, just say its good without nitpicking bunch of flaws that didnt actually happened." Really man ? Is this what has become of criticism ? You know you can still enjoy something while still acknowledging its flaws , right ? And just because the show was going for a grander scale story than typical sentai doesn't mean that substantial flaws in the plot are "nitpicks" , some of the things Thomas pointed out were genuine oversights . I mean If you love it all power to you , but to outright say "just parrot the popular opinion" is pretty dumb ngl .
Pretty sure the flaws he mentioned are valid though. This season isn’t perfect (no series is perfect anyway) You could still enjoy a season and think it’s awesome and still have problems with it Like for me with Geats I don’t think it had to do to be different to Public positive opinion of the show
I think Hymeno Ran should be a Green ranger (May Green to be exact) instead of Yellow, because her Mecha is a praying mantis and most mantis are Green.
I would like to correct the English translation of King-ohger as King-Kingjer... Ohger or "ouja" in Japanese means king, ruler, champion (same as ouja in zyuohger, they are the champion of their respective places). So King-Ohger translates to King-King. King Squadron King-King. Lol
wow... how much ILITERALTED you display in terms of understanding writing as a whole the point of part 2 was to confront space god aliens that destroy planets for fun, dugded IS threatening for the fact that he is literally a god along with the rest of the galacinsect bugnarok ARE interesting thanks to jeramie as an character, him alone along with desnarak and Nephila shows another side of bugnarok even if we did not see the kingdome we do need to show how threatening the villains of part two are witch is the fucking point and the kings DO decelope as characters since each have their own character focus and tons of depth in each of them, without depth i would agree but again the depth is still there! and racules coming back was meaningful even thow was not utilized, same with Kamejim i wanted to have benefit of the doubt but after watching your blazar video it shows how you do not care about story as a whole, so stop acting you care so much about story when you admitted that you like stupid silly shows, stop acting you are a reviewer of these shows when you have no clue on what are you saying quick note: i know this comment is hyperbolic to read but you have to understand what I'm coming from for someone who actually knows writing and love story driven shows
@@TheValvaradmusPrime no? Tayuya is just a prick who does not litsen to other's point of viewe My problem with thomas's review is that is not that considered when he makes his points, sure there are inconsistenties but all of that would not change of how amazing the story is And again if you don't like kingohger good for you, but you don't have to desconsidering about it And thomas's review is just all over the place without a proper scrip and most of these are just nickpicks than actually problems
My guy a monkey types more coherent words that you do. Normally I don't care about grammar since I too suck at that stuff but when you're gonna be a damn prick then type properly
What did you think of King-Ohger?
1st reviewer i’ve seen that didn’t just think Kingohger was peak fiction or something, and I agree with you
King ohger was the show that put me back into the franchise!
The Toys were fantastic. But also the story and theming was amazing
I really like it. The 1st part was rushed at some point, like Spider Mask is revealed to be Jeramie-the story teller in the same episode he debut. The show could have him hanging around Desnarak since ep 1 to build up the mystery
To me, better execution compared to Donbrothers.
Remember when people said donbrothers was so good no way the next season could top it and kingohger just responds “observe”
I do want another high fantasy series though because a series always being on earth is annoying
We can get the same result going to space. Earth has enough giant robots
Or something like that set in far future. Cyberpunk esque
Flashman & Kyuranger
For me the highs of King Oh-ger were so high that I honestly didn't even mind the lows of it that much. The characters especially were so good that it easily bounced up to being my favorite sentai and having my favorite red and sixth.
just finished the show an hour ago, couldn't agree more
Honestly, the 2nd half was my favorite part of the season because of the villains.
Who thinks king ohger is still peak-ohger after this review

Jerameis throne room was just a place Rita gave him as land to become king, and his sacrafice was more about the bonds between bugnarock and humans than about giving up his kingdom in its entirety, just their political relations, pretty sure he's still chilling in his cave after that episode. do wish we got to see more bugnarock foot soldiers having lives tho
Dagded was probably the most overpowered Sentai villain in recent history, if not EVER, because they had to literally punch a hole through the fabric of reality to defeat him.
And just by that logic alone, God Kingohger became the most overpowered Sentai Mecha ever
Do you guys think he scale above god in zenkaiger?
@@jinkwon8410 and breaking the record of the most massive mecha in Sentai series since Daijinryu from Dairanger.
2:00 This is forever iconic I remember seeing this poster and falling in love with it. The suits are glorious.
It nails what super Sentai does best by doing that, which I think is the greatest strength of the show:
It does what Super Sentai is in the best way possible, win spite of the fact that it goes in such a new direction for the series.
I think the creator expected super sentai to finally take risks and be mature and yeah i get it too but we should already be thankful to toku for even considering things like fantasy politics, the jesters were valid tho , could have been sm more but the bugnarock part was hs bs , they played their part and it was good
Glodi being the catalyst for the tragedy that three of the main cast's backstories circulate in is just so fricking terrifying
This comment is pretty long, :3
Honestly, King-ohger is now become my fav sentai. :3
Don't angry me about i talked my opinion.
If i'm gonna rank every Reiwa era Super Sentai season, it would be like this :
1. King Ohger (9,4/10)
One of, if not the best seasons of all.
2. Don Brothers (9/10)
This season is just wild.
3. Kiramager (8,7/10)
This show was just creative.
4. Zenkaigers (8/10)
Now despite being the last, i don't really hate Zenkaiger, i still think it's a fun season.
But for now, Fare the well, KINGOHGER 👑⚔️
my favorite type of videos im pumped
Lately, though, yellow/orange rangers have become very solid and likable characters, so much so that all yellow rangers except Gaon in the Reiwa season have become my favorites.
sorry to tell you but Gira is also stand out along with yanma, kaguragi, rita, ehck even racules stand out a lot
@@denysvision but still not as Ran and Jeremy. Also Yanma and Kaguragi got their developments and backstories way too late.
This season is my favorite of the new era. I did enjoy it
King Ohger did a lot of things differently than a lot of any other Super Sentai such as…
1. Having the story take place on a different planet instead of Japan, Earth.
2. Finally do an insect theme Sentai.
3. Have a purple ranger as a core ranger
4. Finally have a sixth ranger that isn’t gold or silver
5. Do a time skip
Dairanger's 6th ranger is White though
@@jonnstamaria2871 Same could be said for Abare Killer, Deka Break and Geki Chopper.
About the pacing of King-Ohger's 1st half: I believe that the leaks of Kuwagata Ohger's King form, and Caucasus Beetle Castle's robo form are the ones who's responsible for the 1st half's pacing and i also believe that Desnarak was supposedly to be the final boss of the series if the leaks didn't surfaced
But when the leaks came out real fast either Toei or TV Asahi did an Ingenious move to make the series having a "2nd Season" that take place a few years later and introduced a new faction of villains who were basically deities that controls everything in the universe AND SOMEHOW IT WORKS
King-Ohger would be your STANDARD not that good-not that bad Sentai series if the leaks didn't came out and if the series just sticks to the Human VS Bugnarok story
Not that i'm assuming that was actually the scenario of both Toei or TV Asahi when the leaks came out but given that the series goes on an interesting route (Which is the 2nd half) i wouldn't be surprised if that actually happened
As someone who hasn’t watch Sentai for a while and weekly ( last time I did that was Lupinranger vs Patenranger which I stop watching around episode 20s)
King-ohger is definitely a great season since there’s so many highs and awesome moments but I can’t deny that this season have some low lows and understated why Thomasjujube is frustrated at many parts of it
This series made me interested in Sentai again.
He played the role of the villain while secretly being the true hero
Literally everything in this season was GREAT!
papillon rules but i gotta give Hachi the W
For example: In Hymino's original flashback, the villain that caused the Fury of the Gods wore the same spider mask as Jeramie, that's why she tried to kill him, but later when we meet the culprit he doesn't & have never wear a mask(the flashback was retcon to reflect this with his face clearly shown)
The culprit was never shown to be wearing a mask. She tried to kill Jeremie because he was using similar Cicada Shugods.
@@thomasjujube Sorry my mistake, Glodi face was hidden by the shade of his hood. But still if she already seen Glodi face, why did she claimed Jeramie s responsible for everything & tried to kill him, at most he's an accomplice & the only one that know about her parents killer
@@aokhoinguyenang3992 A certain Cicada shugod that he used for tarantula knight
Dugded is basically a god, you can't kill him and he can destroy the universe if he wants, but he doesn't want to it right now, the same goes for his minions, and they create a complete unstable team like the king-ohgers but mirror, like Dugded and Gira are the strongest but silly, the ninja has a great ego like yanma, groodie and his power to bring back the death with himeno, her trauma and quest to save lives, kaguragi with his swicthing side is why he hirubil and her mind control can't work on him, rita with her nutrality goes a long with kamejin and minogan with his strenght and sometimes super inteligence against the agile and strategic moves of jerami
That's how they work and its what i love about them
King-Ohger was a fantastic show.
I actually enjoyed it!! After lupanranger vs patoranger... this concept is felt really intimated to me
"Please tell me why you love King-Ohger", does not respond to comments why they love the show and only responds to people with the same opinion.
The Legend Of King-Ohger
Can't believe i dropped king ohger because of the suit designs I picked it back up and now its my second favorite sentai season
How can I watch this whole season?
This was really was in my opinion almost the king of Kings in my opinion owo
i like how the series just kept going stronger and stronger a few filler episodes but still good my only critique i didn't really like the kyouyuger crossover im sorry i love the series but it felt kinda rushed but other then that it showed you can have a series set on a different planet and be original the mecha were fine the suits really reminded me of kamen rider all in all i recommend it to any sentai fan
Happening almost every episode made him sound like he was just bullshitting.
by opposide, i disagree with EVERYTHING that he stated, zeo agito made much more compeling arguments than Thomas
Jeramie realizing the reason Bugnaarok and humans can't get along is because of him is just 👌
I totally agree with you.
There were two MASSIVE problems with this show:
I think the Mathematically correct color for Kamakiri Ohger is Green (Light Green particularly) While the Hachi Ohger is Orange.
Facts. I dipped the second season cause of exactly what you said.
It would have been cool to see the suits outside more but it kinda scares me what would happen with The Spider Kumonos Suit cause we all know what happen with the Fourze base state suit and how many they needed for the time
I think this will will be a good power ranger show abouts
King-Ohger is definitely one of my top 5 Favorite Sentai series ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've never watched a single Sentai series, but now that Power Rangers has ended I think I'm going to check Sentai out! This series looks interesting.
It's actually a great sentai as it is a breath of Fresh Air to have another story from another Earth and tie it to Kyoryuger's origin
I liked it a lot. This might be a weird take but I liked it more than donbrothers.
Was Donbrothers actually that good?? I didn't finish it. I stopped it after like Eight episodes?? Once I started Kingohger, I couldn't stop. At all
I think king ohger is a story that would be so much better if it’s not a toku series. Like imagine a king ohger netflix series or king ohger anime. Like it’s already tried new thing and set itself apart but is ultimately still held back by the fact that it’s a super sentai show
I love to see Dragons vs Dragons theme Super Sentai with Bad guys be Yokai/Dragon hybrids.
i never was much into sentai im more of an kamen rider guy
but as my first real sentai and not power rangers season king-ogher was peak for me
i cant point out how but i somehow like how all the side charakters (atleast in my opinion) feel natural and not as over obundent than most other series
my most favorite dynamic was between Yanma and jeramie cause it reminds me of an dynamic i have with an friend
one of my few gripes i have with the season although is that i though designwise that the kingohger mecha was a bit cluttered with stuff just "to many parts"
If I'm gonna ranked my favorite Super Sentai season, it would be like this:
1) Shinkenger
2) King-Ohger
3) Gokaiger
4) Zyuohger
5) Magiranger
6) Lupinranger vs Patranger
7) Zenkaiger
8) Kiramager
9) Go-Busters
10) Goseiger
Who is that!? 1:54
King-Ohger might be one of my favorite Sentai
I'm glad the show was able to help you in that way.
I thought the visuals looked quite fantastic relative to what is usually seen in these shows
I think what helped king ohger was that donbrothers were all over the place and too wacky and confusing at times to where king ohger was more simplified, yes there are twists and plot changes but its much more easier to watch as the story was fairly simple for the most part, plus every king had a lot of lore behind them and the world which ,ade you want to support them, plus this was the first sentai in 2 years to not use guns and powers from former sentai
bigg RACs and the secondary powerups were the2 parts of this show that didnt fully feel fleshed out to me in the end .. everything else wa actually fine and bareable ... astonished at how well the acting was thru out the whole season but the one thing i wanted was a staple fight where we can see them used the 2nd forms fully without drawbacks, the last fight atleast all out hack and slash WE DONE WITH THIS BULL slaying but no... while big racs was there in a cage and he did go help here and there... i feel the only one who he needed to redeem himself with was PrezYamma anyways but having that one moment fully fleshed out, or even raccs helping the bugfolk learn how to be civilized would have completed his circle for me
They can always do a return movie like they used to that take place in the time jump like racules own mini special in the beginning.
I absolutely love King Ohger
So, we could've gotten the very first Super Sentai season with six Rangers at the beginning rather than three or five or four Rangers at the start.
That would've been interesting to see six Rangers uniting together and fighting off against villainous monsters and stuff...
But, than again it just a rumor and stuff...
Well I mean we technically already had two sentais with six rangers at the start, Lupinranger vs Patranger, which is a technically because it's two teams of three but it's still six rangers, and kyuranger which is kinda cheating because it was a base team of 9 so more than six
Watch LvP
I feel kingohger earned my top 4 spot for me, so its that good imo, top 3 is shinkenger, , top 2 is Dekaranger and my top 1 is still Gokaiger, so i advice you watch Gokaiger when you have the time
I can’t wait for the sentai Potential episode for this season.
"If its good, just say its good without nitpicking bunch of flaws that didnt actually happened."
Really man ? Is this what has become of criticism ? You know you can still enjoy something while still acknowledging its flaws , right ? And just because the show was going for a grander scale story than typical sentai doesn't mean that substantial flaws in the plot are "nitpicks" , some of the things Thomas pointed out were genuine oversights . I mean If you love it all power to you , but to outright say "just parrot the popular opinion" is pretty dumb ngl .
Pretty sure the flaws he mentioned are valid though. This season isn’t perfect (no series is perfect anyway)
You could still enjoy a season and think it’s awesome and still have problems with it
Like for me with Geats
I don’t think it had to do to be different to Public positive opinion of the show
isn't kaguragi technically a anti villain?
There is a side story about racles aka the secrets of racles
I think Hymeno Ran should be a Green ranger (May Green to be exact) instead of Yellow, because her Mecha is a praying mantis and most mantis are Green.
Its already great but they end it soon which was a bummer
For me i don't mind the CGI and if the next super Sentai use CGI like king ohger i hope is better
It is a success
King-Kinger
You spitting about how they treat the Bugnarak in the second half.
I would like to correct the English translation of King-ohger as King-Kingjer... Ohger or "ouja" in Japanese means king, ruler, champion (same as ouja in zyuohger, they are the champion of their respective places). So King-Ohger translates to King-King. King Squadron King-King. Lol
King-Ohger was awesome ❤
From not doing roll calls to doing roll calls? I’d say that Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger was a success
wow... how much ILITERALTED you display in terms of understanding writing as a whole
the point of part 2 was to confront space god aliens that destroy planets for fun, dugded IS threatening for the fact that he is literally a god along with the rest of the galacinsect
bugnarok ARE interesting thanks to jeramie as an character, him alone along with desnarak and Nephila shows another side of bugnarok even if we did not see the kingdome we do need to show how threatening the villains of part two are witch is the fucking point
and the kings DO decelope as characters since each have their own character focus and tons of depth in each of them, without depth i would agree but again the depth is still there! and racules coming back was meaningful even thow was not utilized, same with Kamejim
i wanted to have benefit of the doubt but after watching your blazar video it shows how you do not care about story as a whole, so stop acting you care so much about story when you admitted that you like stupid silly shows, stop acting you are a reviewer of these shows when you have no clue on what are you saying
quick note: i know this comment is hyperbolic to read but you have to understand what I'm coming from for someone who actually knows writing and love story driven shows
Aren't you the racists yes man?
Aren't you Tayuyas yes man?
@@TheValvaradmusPrime no? Tayuya is just a prick who does not litsen to other's point of viewe
My problem with thomas's review is that is not that considered when he makes his points, sure there are inconsistenties but all of that would not change of how amazing the story is
And again if you don't like kingohger good for you, but you don't have to desconsidering about it
And thomas's review is just all over the place without a proper scrip and most of these are just nickpicks than actually problems
My guy a monkey types more coherent words that you do. Normally I don't care about grammar since I too suck at that stuff but when you're gonna be a damn prick then type properly
King-Ohger should have Seiun for their own like Ultraman Z.
