    Cell service - for Bell, Telus, Koodo and Virgin Mobile we had very good service. It was LTE+ and showing 2 out of 3 bars. We had no problem with phone calls, texting, streaming etc. If you have experience with the cell service here, especially if you're with a different cell service provider, please leave a comment.

    Good revue, and for your two batteries hook them both up to a buss bar, and feed of the buss. this will equalize the draw down. Using a single cup Keurig is the best bet for your Bluetti and power conservation.

    When you set up the solar panels is there a reference that specifies the direction and angle to optimize charge times. ---- Another thing that comes to mind. Having the panels atop the camper would increase the exposure to direct solar rays.

    • @CampingwiththeColes
      @CampingwiththeColes  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@154Colin I just try to set the panels as straight as possible toward the sun. We normally camp at provincial parks which usually have a pretty full tree canopy. If the panels were on top of the trailer we wouldn't be able to move them to the sunlight as the sun changes position in the sky. If the panels are on the ground we can move them for optimal sunlight.

    Great video guys, I had same sort of power issues, tip for fridge use (I use the 23 qrt fridge),if you can plug it directly into dc source you won't drain the BE as much because it looses a lot of pwr converting dc to ac back to dc at the fridge ,also don't leave the BE on when not really drawing pwr as the inverter and electronic battery management system will draw pwr on its own.keeo up the reviews 😁

    • @CampingwiththeColes
      @CampingwiththeColes  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the tips. In campgrounds not in bear country I would leave my portable fridge outside next to the Bluetti. I could then plug directly from DC to DC. But here I want to keep the site clean of any bear attractants so I keep the fridge in my truck. I don't have a DC cord that long so I have to use a regular extension cord and plug into the AC port on the Bluetti. I think turning off the Bluetti overnight would be fine as the temps are cooler and the fridge is insulated and should keep things cool enough. I turned off the Bluetti when we drove anywhere because the fridge came with us.

    Hi Camping with the Coles, we are the Hiking-bikers you met on the trail. Rangers point and Angels point are fine for the casual Biker, the other two are for the more serious bikers definitely. My wife enjoyed taking her bike for a walk that day. I recommend spending a longer time at Restoule, we were there from the 12 til 23, it takes at least three days before the kids finally relax and stop asking, "what are we doing today".... "camping" that's what we are doing. We actually had no idea that your channel existed until my wife chatted with another woman in the water who talked about your channel and said you were visiting Restoule in August around that time. It's part of the fun of camping just chatting with folks you meet around the campground. So since we came back we have been checking out your videos, and now we have a lot more campgrounds to visit;'> We have a badge from all the parks we have been to and the range hood in our trailer is now covered in them. It was nice to have met you (and Jax) and perhaps we will run into each other another time. Next time I see someone hiking with a go pro, I will pay closer attention.

    WHOA! WHOA!! WHOA!!!
    I tune in for lots of reasons but one of the main things I look forward to in your vids is Cheryl’s roll call of the fish you can catch.
    I don’t even fish nor do I have any intention of doing so.
    But Cheryl should be doing the fish roll call.
    And Ben, if you can oblige, forget to edit that part of the video. 😈
    (Or at least give me the half hour of bloopers from all the takes.)
    That would be swell. 😁👍🏼

    • @CampingwiththeColes
      @CampingwiththeColes  หลายเดือนก่อน

      LOL, I love having Cheryl do the fishing talk because she's so bad at it and it makes me laugh. She's a good sport and keeps doing it. She was having trouble with this one so I just did it myself in one take to show her how easy it was. She eventually got it but I decided to use mine in the final edit. I see the error of my ways now and I promise Cheryl will be back at it. We have so many fish talk bloopers for the year end review video that I don't think I can put them all in. We'll have to break them up with other types of bloopers. Thanks for caring and sharing your opinion.

    We have been camping at Restoule for 35 years,every summer for at least 2 weeks. We love the area and lakes and have seen alot of changes over the years. We miss Angela's for their pizza and ice cream,Northern pines and Martin's camp for their stores ,bait and gas that was available on the lake Not to mention Mill Bay Marine for gas,boating rentals and supplies. It seemed to lose alot of amenities as the park got busier and more popular. We are now shopping for a cottage to buy on Restoule,we don't want to be anywhere else.

    We should go back to this park. Unfortunately there was a power outage which forced the closure of comfort stations followed by a tornado watches during our stay. It made for an anxious afternoon and early evening. Definitely not a reflection of the beauty of the park.

      We've been finding that happening a lot this summer. Did you notice if they locked the comfort stations? Last year we were at a park where there was a tornado watch and they locked the comfort station. The comfort stations are the safest place to be in at that time. We were not impressed. When we were at the Parks of the St. Lawrence a there was a tornado warning and staff came by to personally tell everyone and tell us to go to the comfort stations if need be.

    Just wondering when your lithium batteries are in parallel only one battery drained; then you disconnected/reconnected and the two drained in unison. Any reasons this happens? Curious, because I have the same batteries but have not connected them in parallel yet because of the limited need in our system. Second battery has been backup spare for those back to back rainy days right now. All the best.

    • @CampingwiththeColes

      I don't know why it only drew power from one of the batteries. That happened once before and I called AOlithium support and they told me if that happens to disconnect the working battery and that will force the connected battery to start supplying power. Once I did that they both provided power.
