i watch a lot of videos on trawlers for many years, i've had boats from 8" to 110" but never a trawler per se. So while for health reasons I'm out of the market, I like to see these videos for the last 10 years. This particular video and you sir are the best I've ever seen. This is the best boat selling video ever. I watched it glued to the screen if we can say that. Your presentation was flawless and vby the end of the video I was sold on the boat for sure. The details of your narrative brought the boat to my level instantly and I felt like if it had been one of my previous boats, feeling totally at home and connected to the boat. Also the many details ont he wood, where it came from, etc. added a very warming touch to the sales pitch. Your presentation was also calm, very firm, and you were trusted 100%. Your word was gold in this video. I think this is a beautiful video and I'm putting it in my favorites folder. This video is seven years old, so I'm not surprised the vessel has been sold. With how gorgeous it is, I'm surprised that it didn't sell the instant the video published! It's truly an amazing yacht, and presented beautifully.
Lovely and awesome boat. It has Mercedes 225 HP engines x two, so 450 HP, so he wasn't blowing smoke on the boat's range of 3500+. Cruises at 9 knots or 10 miles an hour for best fuel consumption. In boats they don't say what's its mileage is, they ask how many gallons does it burn an hour. My dad's 43 foot boat, made of oak and was a Navy boat used for whatever and made by whoever was an excellent working boat for fishing after we made modifications to it. My dad never found out its use, but was probably a ship to shore tender, but it burned 2 1/2 gallons an hour with his Volvo Penta engine from the 70s. At 11 knots or 12 1/2 miles an hour his mileage was supposed to be around 5 miles per gallon. Sounds good on paper, but doesn't take into account waves, waves up where you use more and waves down where you use less, but it doesn't even out. Going up wins and uses more than you gain going down. Then there is the current, are you going into the sea or following the sea and are you fighting a side current while fighting wind waves? Of course there is wind and current, plus a little wavering as you go. So that 5 mpg turned into 3 mpg depending upon conditions. Now, for a 43 foot boat getting 3 mpg was excellent. Not many boats of that size and weight can get as good of mileage. The con side of it is you're going slow, simple as that. Also you don't want to be under-powered in bad weather. So you must have enough reserve power to fight a sudden gale and the waves that accompany them. Off the coast of SoCal they have Santa Ana winds. I was at Catalina Island the first time I saw this phenomena and asked my dad, "What is that big brown cloud from?" My dad yelled all lines and anchor up! As fast as I could I winched the anchor up while he fired up the engine and we headed to the backside of Catalina. We had almost made it when we got hit with 45 mph wins frothing up the seas around us. We finally made it to the Lee side after forever, but was actually only about 5 minutes. If my dad's boat had been faster we would have beat it like all the speedsters did. That's when I learned to never take my eyes off the sea and wind, plus be prepared as best as possible for anything that could happen. Also, never buy an under-powered boat.
Your shirts and slacks are always so very well pressed; you don't see that a lot these days. It gives a very professional appearance. I want to buy every boat you show; hopefully I'll be able to get at least one!
Likes the eco friendly fuel spill tray...on a vessel that gets 1 mile per gallon of fuel, is loaded with wood from South American rainforests, and where 15,000 man hours were spent on the interior alone.😆😃 This guy has a great sense of humor!
I'm generally impressed that one can move a floating condo around at even 1 mpg. But yeah, Eco-friendly is a stretch. I prefer sailboats myself. Better range. More fun.

Nice. Nice presentation. Wish I had that kind of money to own this boat. Imagination and dreams are a wonderful thing. It allows you to appreciate the "what if?", even though, there is no if.
It is a nice Trawler. And it sold pretty fast for $1.4 million. This is the type of Yacht I would want because it's safer than most, and you can go a long way in it. 3500 nautical miles on a full tank and it only uses 4 gallons per hour at 8 to 10 knots.

Can anyone else sense a barely controlled, desolate, murderous rage deep within Mr Evans? He tries to ignore the urge, smothering it with thoughts of solid cherry cabinetry and teak decking, of complex curves and Portuguese bridges, but it always wins out in the end... Before he knows what has happened, he's bollock naked except for a pair of hip waders, he's got a chainsaw in each hand and there's brutally butchered co-eds four deep on the cockpit deck! "Complex curves!" he yells and runs howling into the night.
For a moment I thought you were being sarcastic but then I saw the bloody waders hanging on the overbuilt solid cherry coat rack, no veneer here my boy.
I just happened up on this video, and the only thing that matches the vessel's craftsmanship is the man's presentation ability. It's almost intoxicating, and very natural.
The gas fillers are recessed into a small tub to prevent spills - that is really eco friendly and we know people like that. You know what else is eco friendly, the owner personally bringing up all these exotic hard woods from the diminishing jungles of south America so he can have a unique floor to walk on in his yacht. VERY eco friendly.
Single Malt was completed by the owner. He has an amzing skill at fine finishing and the interior is incredible. What comes out is that he is doing it for himself. That is what really stands out when you look at the finishing. Are you interested in this one?
@@miksbc: Yes sir, I am interested in this particular vessel; however, not as a perspective buyer, simply an admirer. Having lived aboard my 42ft sailboat for ten years, and crewed while delivering yachts in my younger days, I've truly lived the old saying..."Boat = A hole in the water into which the owner pours money." Nowadays my money is spent purchasing land, and I've already seen most of the world. Thank you nonetheless.
Reminds me of the ancient refrigerator my aunt gave us when we got married. She bought a beautiful new one that broke down every other month and her old thing was like the battery bunny, kept going and going and going. So don't knock it Fazz.
Isn’t he the best. This might be my favorite trawler. But I did find the windows in the state rooms a little bit oddly placed. What a perfect boat to take on the world tour. I for sure was not expecting the piano, nor the 600 gallon per day water maker.
@@aquaticthumb5193 Right. Look at the stringers, but don't bother telling us anything about the engines, the generator, or make any mention of the deep freezer, or tool boxes in the lazarette. The boring history of the wood, and how much the chairs cost... no problem. lol
@ Hmmm... So, what are you saying exactly?? That he told me that as usual Calibre glossed over the features that people really care about because these salesmen don't know anything about boats or their customers??? In every video from this company that this pompous jackass makes he has some kind of a Freudian fixation on "wood" and he completely misses the technical aspects of the boat.
Just LOOK at this shitter ! Isn't that the most beautiful poop-catcher you ever seen? You know, it was hand carved by Jimmahl... This is just gorgeous. And would you look at that, it has a vacuum flush that could suck your nuts down the drain, if you desired. It is just amazing. And the views in the mirror while you are using this toilet... oh man, it doesn't get any better than this. Wow. This is just Beautiful. And the way this floor feels under your feet while you're taking a dump... so amazing. You won't find this sort of attention to detail anywhere else in the world. And when the shitter's full? Well, of course there's a diverter valve so that is never a problem. SO THOUGHTFUL !!! Beautiful, just beautiful.
@Dale Case: At least "cherry" is only one word. In his last video I watched the yacht had an extraordinary interior made from "Black Walnut" which he repeated approx every 5 seconds during a 30 minute tour. One thing is for certain, the man loves his wood.
Well with 2000 gallons and a 4000 mile range not nearly as much as most 60 ft vessels . I would guess 3500 mile range would be at cruise so 4000 mile range would be at least a mph or even a full knot slower so maybe 7 knots to get a 4000 mile range. Top speed would likely be close to 10 knors. Cruise probably around 8 mph but it had a very raked bow for a trawler so it could be more than the numbers of comparable size full displacement hull boats. Trawlers normally don't have as much of pronounced V at the bow. It almost looks more like a semi planing hull just looking at the bow. Very detailed design and the shipwrights and designers did a wonderful job. Speeds I listed were for a normal full displacement hull on a long voyage. Normally a full displacement hull unless it has a stupid amount of horsepower is not going to get much more than 10 knots because they do not plane. This design and with lead will not likely plane either but it should cut through the water easier than a normal full displacement hull. Being what I would call a one of it is hard to guess top speed which makes cruise harder to guess, It would not shock me if it cruised at 8 or maybe more and 8 is rare cruise speed for a full displacement hull. This is a special hull and I can see it is designed for long voyages and to burn less fuel. It also probably haps an impressive cruise speed but being a one of a kind all I can do is guess. I know one thing I would love to deliver it a couple thousand miles or so to a new owner..lol I do know that rain forest is a hell of a lot lighter than all that lead in the hull. lol I do not even recall him saying it had a gyro. I was impressed with crab baskets and electric crab [ot puller to help pull them up which would be nice if they are laid in deep water. I used to have 4 or 5 we put out when waiting for Industrial Locks in New Orleans on the canal side waiting to go to the River. We normally averaged a 48 hour wait for our double locking so I had a lot of time to put out crab baskets especially since my boat and barges were tied off in our company fleet. Very easy to catch as was bait fish. I just had to monitor a radio or radios while there it was a good way to relax. lol
We called bed features like this 'bookcase' headboards. They were very useful for persons who liked to get cosy and read before drifting off to slumber. (Well...this yacht bespeaks a gentler age and our presenter captures its spirit.)
For the most part I liked this boat. Did not, however, like the anchor arrangement. We always had two anchors!! I would put this boat up against our Fleming Yacht any day. I much prefer a standup fridge and the Fleming had beautiful wood too. lol Also, the Fleming had a much larger cockpit, one that we used a lot since we spent most of our time in Florida and the Bahamas. Loved the name of the Dinghy, Wee Dram. perfect for Single Malt. We traveled with Great Danes and our boat was named 'Sandy Paws'. For a quick treat, watch a video on a 55', 65' or larger Fleming. They are wonderful.
Close to the perfect boat for living. And, a work of art that gives much more status. Even those far up the yacht food chain would admire this, I mean those up chain who love their boats... the rest are too far into their own heads to understand quality.

Such a trawler could even compete with my sailing catamaran dream.
Richness of these wood, exotic woods, these hard wood, these cherry wood, morning wood.
Yeah, you make great videos! Thank you!
That's my idea of a perfect boat for me, i'm impressed
@ Much better than chipboard Diggy.
Thanks for sharing this magnificent boat and the very well produced video.
Mr Rogers boat show ! Luv it !
He reminds me of Mr. Rogers, nice boat.
This guy is the Bob Ross of Yacht sales. He paints a picture that justs makes you want to buy anything he is selling...."isn't that nice?"
The Mr. Rodgers of yachting!
I love the museum-quality electronics in the pilot house.
The Bob Ross of Yacht Sales 💖💖💖
Bwaahaaahaàaa... finally someone made the connection ..........! I'm laffing so hard I got a paintbrush stuck in my eye
What?! No Solid Cherry in the engine room???! I am appalled!
Look at the stringers. Lol
@@aquaticthumb5193 Right. Look at the stringers, but don't bother telling us anything about the engines, the generator, or make any mention of the deep freezer, or tool boxes in the lazarette. The boring history of the wood, and how much the chairs cost... no problem. lol
Mahogany piston sleeves.
heheh XD
Baby grand aft anchor. But i am impressed with the boat, to the bottom with that dam piano.
That would make a damn fine spot for WB fireplace, or something else useful once you get rid of the piano.
Richard Evans is very professional and does a great job.
would ya look at this, just look at it . ok Ed
If I had $5 for every time he said Cherry I could probably afford this thing.
Dale Case beautiful
Cherry!
@Dale Case: At least "cherry" is only one word. In his last video I watched the yacht had an extraordinary interior made from "Black Walnut" which he repeated approx every 5 seconds during a 30 minute tour. One thing is for certain, the man loves his wood.
Love the $12.99 kettle. I have the same in my cabin in the woods ;)
What a beauty!
Great presentation, but I couldn't help wondering how much fuel it takes to push a Rain Forrest through the water.
I just had to monitor a radio or radios while there it was a good way to relax. lol
Nice man and boat, thanks.
I would love this mini ship!
Hahaha. This guy is like the Bob Ross of boat descriptions. 😂
Beautiful boat, well presented.
Couldn't agree more
A lot of things are always left out
Interesting video, but i was hoping to hear about some of the wood.
The whole boat was carved out of one piece of wood.....
Now that's funny bro!
Did Owen Wilson carve it out of a single piece of wood? It's a Hoou-pha.
lool
Lmao
Of course it was ... listen to his words @ 15:19
19:10 opens head board, finds lube, closes head board LOLZ
I'm sure it is just to keep an odd piece of solid cherry wood from splintering.
Yup, with all the "wood" on this boat, ya don't want the Misses gettin' sore.
I was thinking the same thing! “Look at this headboard storage. You can fit an 18 inch black rubber dildo in here! “
We called bed features like this 'bookcase' headboards. They were very useful for persons who liked to get cosy and read before drifting off to slumber. (Well...this yacht bespeaks a gentler age and our presenter captures its spirit.)
pretty sure that was a container of tums antacids
Really nice boat!!
Needs more wood if you ask me.
Great boat and an even better broker. Well done!
Beautiful, ah... just beautiful.
The boat design looks sound but the name and interior design is all over the place.
This man makes me want to buy a boat, even though I don't need one 😂
Is the _Single Malt_ blackletter style text on the saloon's high/low table inlaid with wood?? 😲 Wow, if so!
This boat is awesome. Whoever bought it got an excellent cruiser. I'd find places to put additional fuel tanks and cross the oceans.
you can get very large fuel bags, strap them down i have seen it done on nordhavn 50 on youtube
Assuming it will take you 3,500 nautical miles it will take you across the Atlantic.
Lot of jealous people...he did a pretty good job and it's one heck of a boat; just keeping it real.
Close to the perfect boat for living. And, a work of art that gives much more status. Even those far up the yacht food chain would admire this, I mean those up chain who love their boats... the rest are too far into their own heads to understand quality.
absolutely amazing
You get ahead of yourself in every video of yours. A very pedestrian presentation.
