Totally agree. I mean they’re beautiful ships, but their toys that you really can’t take truly out to sea. This beast you could sail pretty much any ocean in the world and stay out as long as your fuel and food held out. You could travel to the most remote places where people normally don’t go.
@@shable1436 Well what a surprise that a former scallop trawler looks industrial. lol No matter how much rebuilding they're doing, you'll always see the original, industrial ship underneath all the "luxury" stuff they put in it.
Perfect combination of industrial toughness & good practical interior. No gold plated taps or rare Picasso artwork here !!! A conversion to be proud off. ⚓⛵
Well. Yes but It has a lot of non-marine equipment probably not made for the job. It uses the same airr contidioner you would have at home. its not going to resist at sea.
@@polviaortega3709 It uses 16 Fujitsu air conditioners so they can be swapped out easily if one fails...so they don't waste time being stuck in port...did you not watch the video?
I've been watching ship videos for over 5 years and have seen thousands of magnificent yachts and boats worthy of my money, this one I'd buy in a heart beat.
That is one impressive boat. I was a machinist mate aboard a US naval vessel back in the 60s. That would be an engineer on a merchant vessel. I'm impressed with the height of that engineering space. Some videos I have seen of larger yachts people had to duk when walking through the engine room. They did a great job on the conversion. The whole vessel looks comfortable. Thanks for showing it.
I worked on a scallop dragger from Newfoundland and none of them were like this. lol. I love this boat and every aspect of it. The master cabin shower was over the top amazing. I can't say enough. Perfection. Simply stunning. I'm in love.
I'm pleasantly surprised how spacious and comfortable-looking guest accommodations and crew areas are designed, which is almost per with the owner's accomodation. This is truly a boat of hospitality!
I've wayched a lot of yacht tour videos and this is definately my favorite one. It is the style i would want. The interior has a great classic nautical look. The white ships lath walls, metal light fixtures and port hole doors are perfect. It even has a wood stove! It's plenty comfortable, it just looks like a ship instead of a floating mansion. Thanks for sharing an in depth tour of this amazing vessel.
Best vessel yet, John. Really appreciated this tour. The conversion from what it was to what it has become is extremely impressive. The most impressive conversion aspect, for me, was how large the showers were in the guest accommodations. And every cabin was given that same treatment. The boat would qualify as my dream live-aboard vessel for all of its capabilities. The range is perhaps the most enviable of all its capabilities. Well done, John. Well done.
I enjoyed every moment of your tour. And I was happy to hear you say how inviting the owner and crew were to you. I wish the owner many years of enjoyment and safe travels in this beautiful craft.
Functional, rugged, go-anywhere. A lot of space! Not dripping luxury-to-impress-the-Monaco-crowd, but very comfortable…and you can sail this ship from Alaska to Monaco!
This boat is absolutely fantastic! I love the theme and I also love the owner made the crew cabins such a good looking place. That galley for the owner was FANTASTIC! LOVED IT!! I would live on this thing full time.
Terrific video tour. They feel the same whether the boat is 50' or 130'. Just more or less minutes, but your attitude is not jaded in my opinion. The owner captains!!! Great job showing off this boat with the before and after photos.
Loved the interior styling. The mini splits are the same we've used in the remodel of our house, love them very COOL and REFRESHING units, noticed the fresh air vents from possible HRV or ERV units around. Like this Yacht much more so than 95% of the the so called lavish yachts.
As a A&P Technician the engine room and shop areas are real nice. If I owned that gorgeous ship I would pilot it and do the maintenance and do some fishing. What a really nice vessel to travel and live on, it would be a dream retirement go to. .
I saw her last year (year before?) docked in Charleston, SC. She certainly stands out! I asked a crew member why the black hull and massive pilot house. He said the owner liked the military look. It’s like no other yacht you’ve seen!
What an absolutely beautiful yacht. I'm totally in love with every bit of it. ❤ Thank you for filming her, and for the brilliant informative narration. I couldn't afford her, but if by some miracle I had that opportunity, I'd definitely circumnavigate the world. finally; the crew quarters' are fanastic. Thank you also to the owner for enabling us to view her. 10/10.
To say I was impressed is an understatement. What a vessel! Out of all the many boats I have seen tours off this is my favourite. Very functional. That galley is awesome. The crew quarters are the best I have seen yet. The work area is a tinkerer's dream. I would be happy as a pig in you-know-what living aboard this. Thanks John for finding this unique one.
I think you have done it. I believe that you have found the most perfect boat/yacht on the water. It has so much more than all the other floating homes on the open seas and that 7,000 mile range is the best part, but I'm not totally sure about actually saying that because there are just to many excellent parts and areas that fight for the spot of top or best part of a boat. I didn't find not even one area I dislike and for a person who has a bad case of OCD and very picky, I know the owner will not sell her in my lifetime but I would just love to be able to spend a week onboard and travel anywhere this boat and crew go because just being able to go is a journey in its own. Only if I could go, but physically I am not able to do anything anymore but I still can dream of those days of old when I was able to get up and go. I hope and pray everyone out there never gives up on their dreams, an don't let the old man into your body to take over. It's down hill from there, down inside the hole in the ground. Share your love, it's the glue that holds everything together in our Universe, an that is God's honest truth. Go Find your true love an hold onto them tightly and be happy with them, or you can get a pet because pets only need our true love, food and water to live and they return our live 10x back to us. Plus it's the same for us humans. This is my number one boat on my list of favorites out of several thousand other boats I've seen. I have been very picky com8ng up with my list, and this one has blew way ahead of everything I had and it added so much more to my list others don't have. I love this boat over everyone of those other boats. Hard honest truth.
Yeah absolutly stunning vessel, it has been done really well, what a great piece of kit for globe trotting, the size of hte accommodation and cabins is amazing.
Hi,you ask for people’s opinions, well,i was very impressed by the quality of the rebuild, i love the old galley chimneys reminiscent of my old trawler days.I have said before that I am not in favour of exposed swim platforms, the accommodation although superbly finished the white plank wood finish throughout with white tiling in the showers was too much for me,but that could be personalised. As always thank you for the tour done in its very professional manner.Cheers ,Roly🇬🇧.
It's boat designed like home sea home... spacious cabin, split AC instead of central.each part looks like standalone comfy place yet sum of all such space on yacht makes it wholesome secure n fun experience.thanks for video.❤
Wow, what a great tour. I love everything about it. You're really hitting on all cylinders with these tours and you're getting unbelievable access which is testament to your ability to bring these vessels to life and tell their story. Great stuff, always look forward to your tours.
I am sure the chef on Nero is jealous of the galley and crew accommodation on this ship. It is fantastic. Definitely a beautiful ship to work on and to enjoy. Cheers. 🫡

I enjoy the channel because it’s cool seeing these purpose built yachts converted to be private yachts. But on many of them a lot interiors feel a bit spartan for various reasons depending on the yacht. This yachts interior is so well done, and looks so comfortable and cozy.
Wow! A great refit of a workhorse to a luxury yacht. Liked the simple clapboard style throughout the boat. The guest accommodations were very spacious. And the crew quarters looked very comfortable. All ready to handle the Artic or the Antarctic! Very nice tour BTW.

I was one of the workers that helped rebuild this boat back in 2021! It was a amazing experience that's for sure!
I missed that part... what kind of ship was it before it became a yacht?
scallop trawler 🫡
@@YachtBuoy Cool! Thanks for the reply. More boats to look up!
Was the hull improved? Still looks rusted.
Seems like framing lumber would have been treated but the images don't appear to be. Is that correct?
A magnificent ship. I would choose this over one of those sleek superyachts any day of the week.

I just absolutely love converted working boats. That rugged industrial look of these boats just gets me. Instead of the flashy & glamorous boats.
That rugged look is the result of responding to the waves and weather over the decades.
I feel the same way about these work boat conversions 👍🏻
The perfect platform to fulfill my Jacques Cousteau fantasies. Now I just need to win the lottery!
Finger crossed 🫡
Speaking of which. Big euro millions today. Thanks for the reminder. Will happily purchase this beauty.
Every time @YachtBuoy puts out a new video: "Yep still haven't won the lottery, guess I'll just have to settle for watching the video..."
Took the words out of my mouth 😂
