Richard's soft, monotone voice and soothing cadence, backdropped by well chosen music, is a mesmerizing ASMR experience. Especially when he's talking about wood or craftsmanship! Range is pretty straight forward once you understand chart. It has 2400 NM range but at 6 to 7 knots deepening on hull cleanliness. He is correct in that at 10+ knots with generator running is about 10 USG/hr. Easier said, one nautical mile per gallon. Range drops to about 550 NM at 15ishkts and drops down to 450 NM by the time you are pushing over 20 knots. As soon as you exit displacement mode, it behaves like any other planing hull. That is except for the fact you can punch thru some really tough seas at high speed with that fine entry. It likes it........a lot.

Lovely boat, however to me seems designed more for enjoying the passage than living aboard for long stretches; the tiny salon (only sitting space is the dinette), master cabin is a fairly tight V-berth not much better than many smaller sailboats. Just seems to be a tight boat for having a 68 foot length, but as Richard suggests the best place will be the captain's seat on a voyage...

Although the name "Eskimo" was commonly used in Alaska to refer to Inuit and Yupik people of the world, this usage is now considered unacceptable by many or even most Alaska Natives, largely since it is a colonial name imposed by non-Indigenous people.

There's something missing: a Bofors gun mounted forward. No more arguments with Harbour Masters, quick runs past the Somali coast with all lights and music blaring and a prominent position off Spithead when HM QE2 reviews the fleet.
She is very reminiscent of the WW2 72' Harbour Protection Motor Launch of the RN, RAN and other Commonwealth navies. Some might remember the Shearwater (ML 1085) which ferried passengers from Arisaig to Eigg and Rum (Inner Hebrides) in the 80's and 90's. I believe she's under restoration at the moment. A joy to travel aboard her in 1994.

its very pretty , severe lack of grab rails every where , active stab or not , but a five dollar bolt on the transom door would make me weep ,,, having said that , I could live with the rest very nicely , mind you in a boat that size , I like an engine room that i can stand up in , thats the balance between looks , space and practicality though , Its built on the pretty side of tough , I like the tougher side of pretty.
    great video though.

to me , the ultimate at this size and design is a Solent Mk2 class life boat ,,, lol
but again , not every ones cup of tea . Id gladly settle for a 42 Nelson though , or one of the three 60ft Nelsons they built.

Looks like it has the beam of a cigarette boat and the master suite looks like crew quarters on other boats. Did you see the sliding door almost fall off the tracks on the bridge (clearly the weakest link In the event of a side wave). 68ft boat and a shoe box sized galley? Almost like someone built this in shop class-I don’t get it.

I wouldnt dare traveling anywhere really remote with it only having 2000ish miles range, espesially waaay north or south. Would have to plan any resupply spots carefully if so. Also, the engine hatch at the back doesnt seem to be shielded from bad weather. Imagine you having to go down there to figure out repairs, while needing to have the hatch open... while it rains or snows a lot. The overhang should have been like 1,5m longer tbh. Besides that, looked great :)
