Hahaha "come on bitch! " Oh yes. Do I remember those days with my old vehicle. Thanks for the video my new Jeep speakers will be here tomorrow. Hope they will go in as smooth as yours.
just got a 2000 wj limited with a xfinity stereo, only the left dash & right rear door speakers work. the right front door you can barely here it withvyour ear up to it, the guy said they were new alpine sps-609 3-way which i verified cuz im tracing wires as we speak do you think the amp is bad? just kinda strange that only 2 work one on the left & right✌ i see those you are installing are 2-way will that make a difference?
s@@revolutionday1 I meant to write that the 6.5's add nice fill. I had meant to write that since my rear seat 6.5" speakers are blown I just went with the front 6x9". Since I last replied here I installed new speakers to replace the blown 6.5" Left and Right channel backseat speakers. Believe it or not, I still have the 150w Infinity stock amplifier under the back seat. I was not running anything off those since the speakers were shot. I bought a pair of $12, 5-way CarHiFi Brand (I know) off Amazon. The magnets are tiny and they must be like 20ohms or something but off that factory amp. it adds fill and they actually thump. If you have some time on your hands give connecting the backseat speakers a try. For me at least they add significantly and I don't seem to need the volume up as loud. Anyway. Best wishes. Could you also please follow up with more information about what you are doing to your system since we last corresponded?
You doing a great job and we appreciate all your time and effort but there's a much easier way to take that door off, and every 99 and 2000 I've always had problem with the door clips surviving just grab it by the bottom where'd your fingers in it and pull work your way around 10 and lift up off the top I can have it off in three to four minutes tops but I understand you wanting to show you care about what you're working on.
I compete in car audio competitions with a this stereo setup plan on doing some videos on what looks like an sounds but there's too many copyrights on songs
@@FastestIntegra Ahhhh ok, you have an amp specifically for your speakers/subs. Could you give me a tip on how its ran through the dash to an double din radio?
Did the alpines fit good? For some reason all the sites say the alpine type r or s will not fit the wj. I have a set of type s to install in all doors.
What Guage wire are you using? Also how do the alpine speakers sound? I went with jbl gto on my last wj build but want something different on my new wj.
Hey bro, i have a question, the New wire that You put on the truck, what function have? I have a cherokee 1999 but the front speakers doesn't work, if i just change the speakers works? Or i have to put the same wire that You put on your cherokee?
You forgot to show us the test on the speakers! lol also not sure if you knew they make adapters to connect to aftermarket speakers, therefore avoiding running a second set of speaker wires
That couldn't show a demo due to copyrights on songs. Like I said in the video I was upgrading the speaker wire because I was feeding those speakers a lot more power then the stock was requiring a thicker gauge.
Okay so I have the Alpine Type R door speakers in all four doors with the matching Alpine R-A60F 4 channel amp to match them. I compete in car audio competitions for both bass and sound quality I've got a bunch of first-place trophies for sound quality with this setup and even got 2nd at State Finals with the setup for sound quality. No, the difference is speaker quality. (BTW I have factory installed Infinity Gold speakers in my Jeep and they sound great!) Thicker wire means more resistance and your radio has to work harder so you are actually not getting the best sound you could get from those Alpines. I tested and analyzed stereo equipment for an independent laboratory for over 30 years so I know what I'm talking about. And I have had 4 Jeeps in the past 27 years and people do a lot of unnecessary things to them. Just trying to save someone time and money. I didn't see you attach new wire directly to radio so if you just spliced in to existing wire than that defeated your plan. If you did take out the radio...
I'm running those Alpine's off a 4 channel JL amp. And saying thicker wire adds resistance is opposite of Common Sense I do appreciate you sharing your opinion though thank you.
Thanks for being here. Very useful.
thanks for this video. can’t wait to upgrade my speakers.
You'll love the difference

lol i was going to say that Come on Bitch!
that "come on b****" is as real as it gets when messing with those harnesses in the doors! hahaha
Good video thanks for posting.
Just going to hook the wires up like polarity doesn't matter?
I have a question, how shallow are the spaces for the speakers

I’m having the same issue right now!
Great video man thank you! Do you think 6.5” speakers would work on the fronts without adapters?
They say that round speakers sound better, tighter bass. I think I am going with the 6x9 for the pure power handling characteristics.
@@jamesdewer There's all kinda' stuff on Crutchfield etc. saying that most 6x9's won't fit.....

That came out wrong, i apologies.
Is it a necessity to upgrade the speaker wires?
Yes it's highly recommended. I'm running close to a 1000 Watts just to my front and rear doors
Not if you're just running them off the head unit, and not hooking them up to another external amplifier.
Where is the wire routed? Like i understand you replaced the speaker wire, but where does it go from the speaker exactly and how is it routed?
I ran the speaker wire through the door grommets in all four doors down through the carpet area back to my 4 channel amp underneath the rear seat
@@FastestIntegra Ahhhh ok, you have an amp specifically for your speakers/subs. Could you give me a tip on how its ran through the dash to an double din radio?
do u have to upgrade the wiring?
Bro keep these videos up man couldnt find anything on you tube for the wj speakers..any tips on a squeeky creaky center armrest console?
Simple fix. Turn your music up louder.
White lithium grease on the hindge.
Did you try tightening all the screws? They tend to work themselves loose. Throw a little oil on them.
Where the originals infinity speakers?
Speakers?
Also the fuse for the radio?

Front and rear fit with no problems.
Cool thank you. Just saw everything saying they won’t because of the mesh on the panels. Thank you.
Did you disconnect your battery before doing this because I learned the hard way?
What Guage wire are you using? Also how do the alpine speakers sound? I went with jbl gto on my last wj build but want something different on my new wj.
how do those JBL sound? I am very tempted to get them for my WJ.
I just got those Alpines they sound amazing

he used upgraded speaker so he needed better wire to handle higher watt speakers you shuld just be able to put a new speaker in

Only the real people know that the speaker you just removed with a amp is the best 😉
I hope you're being a smart-ass because that stock speaker and amp is complete trash. 😂

could i use my pry bar or screw driver instead
of an interior tool
Yes you could use pretty much anything even a butter knife but some of those clips can be difficult to pop off.
thanks!
Never buy or trust Crutchfield it's complete joke and rip off. The speakers fit just fine with no modifications.
First time?
Don't need to upgrade wires for these speakers. Why do unnecessary work or expense?
