  • My shipment from Werther in Houston Texas showed up and I cannot hold myself back from opening it up to check out and share with you some of the compressor options available.
    I had Werther ship me 4 different air compressors: the P50/24 which is the white silent compressor, the C120/24 which is the louder black compressor and the WallAir which is a wall mountable consumer type tankless garage air compressor that has a hose and reel built in.
    The last air compressor isn't shown in this video but it's my larger Fiac rotary screw compressor that runs at 59 db/A. I'll show this compressor on video in the future.
    I'll have more in-depth videos on these air compressors in the future, I just wanted to share the unboxing and first impression with all of you!

    Matt I’m surprised you haven’t got into carpet extractors yet. Gotta keep the carpets looking better than the day the car came off the assembly line! Watching extraction videos on TH-cam does wonders for my OCD lol

    Here's an idea for the white one. Make a fitting and hose for a remote air filter mount for the white one. Then build a simple cabinet lined with dynomat like material and run the air filter outside of it. I bet it would be virtually no DB

    The white compressor is actually a studio quiet air brush compressor. I had one years ago made by a company named Jun-Air but not sure if they are still in business.

    Definitely looking for a model like that white unit. I need a capacity to use forced air in interior detailing and tornador, would also like to be able to use air polishers, smaller units like 3 in or smaller pads and larger on sanding. Quiet is a must. I live and work in a residential area. Please keep me posted, I have an OG account now. Very promising. Just wish I had more time to check on current videos.

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't use a pneumatic polisher or orbital sander on a small compressor. You need 13 CFM or higher. These are 2.1 CFM.

    • @revcomm41
      @revcomm41 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tornador uses a LOT of air!

  • @HammerPowered
    @HammerPowered 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    My needs are different in terms of the tools I use, so they might be too small for my personal applications (I saw below where you mentioned these are around 2 CFM and a lot of the air tools that I use need more air to run right), but they appear to be really nice. The quiet aspect is what I really love - my current compressor makes my ears ring even with hearing protection lol.

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you would need a larger version. I’ll be sharing those soon as well.

    These are great for something like jeweler or airbrush applications. But for garage/shop use I just don't see how useful they're going to be, other than just very small air uses like small nail guns. Even filling a tire may be difficult due to the small tank size.

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      These are perfectly fine for filling a multiple truck tires, blowing out pads, using air tools that don't require a ton of volume. 6 gallons is more than adequate.

    Cute and quiet but just about useless in a Garage environment. Been there - done that - then got a Jenny Big Boy Compressor. yea - it's noisy but it does what I need. Ear Plugs or Muffs are your friend.

    • @ObsessedGarage

      The problem with large rotary screw compressors is that they need to operate at temp for long periods to keep water out of the oil. Otherwise you end up with rusting and issues with the head of the compressor. I’m a normal hobby type garage, we don’t run our compressors enough. I have a new type of rotary screw in the garage now with a oil heater that the solves this problem.
