Just thought you all should know! Just came back from the range and the rifle is shooting better than she ever did. So the enlarging of the holes in the underlugs is an easy and quick way to improve the accuracy on your rifle........😂
To prevent slipping off the screw and marring the metal or wood, it helps to guide the bit by placing the thumb of the opposite hand against the screwdriver bit or shaft.
Good advice. My normal way to do it. It pobably do not show in the video! And when the firearm is well stabilised and if you have a steady hand you can screw wihout help from the second hand..! Thanks for your comment mate..!
Hello again, thanks for the interesting video, a fairly simple modification but I hope it works well for you. I will be very interested to see if it improves your shot grouping, if so I may well try it too. I'm hoping to take delivery of a 2nd hand Parker Hale Whitworth rifle this week that I bought at auction before Christmas. Some people struggle to get as good a shot grouping with their Whitworths as hoped for so maybe your modification will be a consideration if I suffer the same thing :) Cheers Chris
No.. The PH Enfield has barrel bands to secure the barrel to the stock, not pins. Using bands allows the barrel to expand without distortion. Accuracy problems with Whitworths are usually down to bullet design and loading..

Det kommer ann på hvilken hær. Noen hadde rem og andre ikke. På ei sivil jaktrifle var reim mest vanlig. Hyggelig å høre fra deg.
