    Wow. Very cool video with great information. The owl and eagles are all so impressive with their grip strength. Interesting to know that the Harpy Eagle can crush a human skull like a grape. That certainly got my full attention! Best regards, Cathy

      Thank you so so much! They really are forces of nature and are super impressive. I was stunned when I learned about that too! I bet they aren't able to do it themselves because their talons aren't big enough to wrap around our head but they can still pack a punch. Have a nice week, Cathy :)

    Hi 🙋‍♂️. Thanks for this “take two !!” An excellent video, difficult data to verify !! All sounded good to me 🤩. Cheers, Don 👋

      Hey Don! It's my pleasure, I knew I had to remake this video eventually because I wasn't as happy with the original and people were correcting my mistakes. It really is, I had trouble describing the grip strengths the first time around so I hope this one is more accurate. Thank you and have a good one! :)

      I know right, all of my life I thought they were the strongest bird. They really are beautiful birds and I hope I get to see one in person some day. It's my pleasure, have a good one my meow friend :)

      Ah, c'mon now! The bald eagle, had the presenter considered ALL the eagles around the world, wouldn't rate a mention in such a list if it weren't for American bias! Steller's sea eagle is larger, heavier and stronger (as is the white-tailed sea-eagle); it is known to take young seals, as well as steal fish from other eagles (like the white-tailed). Australian wedge-tailed eagles take down kangaroos up to 50kg (110 lb), calves, goats, wombats, foxes and dogs along with hares and large waterfowl like geese and swans. They literally pierce the skulls of their prey with their talons, killing them instantly. They can fly with up to 11 lb weight in their talons from a standing take-off! Don't get me wrong, baldies are impressive birds...... but I'm tipping the strength required to pick up a fish that dies in air is gonna be somewhat less than what it takes to pierce the skull of a small cow or kangaroo!

    I'd rather not mess with them...😱 There's a reason why so many aircraft carry the names of birds of prey...✈

    • @J_Birds
      @J_Birds  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm with you all the way! They really are forces of natures and are not to be messed with. I think it's so cool how we've named aircraft after them and they definitely deserve it. Thanks for your lovely comment as always :)

    Excellent video. Very accurate list as well. Some websites erroneously put the Bald eagle ahead of the GHO, but the GHO is much stronger.
