    Really helpful. Have now bought the bits to fit the table. When you do things it would be helpful to have a little video of you actually doing the fixing for the less diy savvy amongst us! Less head scratching! Keep up the great work

    Great adjustments. I have done the same with the table across the back to make more work space but have done away with all 3 table brackets in the floor and just use a tray on a folding stool. There is only me in the van so works well and saves on weight. I have also had cushions made so I can use a single bed. I have moved the toothbrush holder to the opposite wall and it fits in the corner behind the cupboard door. I found I kept knocking it where it was. The only thing I am not happy with is the fly screens which collapse every time
    I touch them.

      Hi, sorry to here about the fly screens, we have had no problem with them, but did have a leak behind the shower and electric problems. We have only just got the van back after 3 and half weeks. Thanks for your comments, safe travels

    We have watched your video and have just purchased the cushions to make single beds. Think it will be more comfortable for us. Looking forward to them arriving. Thinking of doing the alteration with the table and taking off the raised parts on the floor for the legs and laying carpet tiles. It would make it much smoother inside also like the idea of extra workspace in kitchen area. Just need to sweet talk my husband into doing it.

    Hi Jim and Kay, did you by any chance change the shower head to a trigger one? If so, can you tell me which one you got and if it is just a matter of removing the original one and screwing the trigger one back on? Thanks in advance - wishing you both a very happy Christmas. 💕

    • @jimandkay
      @jimandkay  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes we did, we got it off eBay and it’s one of the best items we have bought, save loads of water and is really powerful. I need to do an update video😁 very easy to fit, unscrew the primal one and just screw in the trigger one. Turn the shower lever on to the temp you want and just use the trigger. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chrome-Trigger-Shower-Head-On-Off-Control-Constant-Water-Flow-1-2-Thread-/333120001443?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0

    Another great video guys you might want to pass it on to Wildax, by the time I can afford my own Pulsar you will have ironed out all of it's little problems,
    A link to the particular Table leg and the dimensions of your table would be most useful to your many fans.
    Is that a motion sensor in the corner by the offside door and have you managed to wire it in to your alarm system? or is that a secret between you and your insurers😂.
    Keep the video's coming, many thanks

    Hi, thinking of buying pulsar. Any advice, what went wrong, what to look for, which dealer to look at??? Thanks

    • @jimandkay
      @jimandkay  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi and thank you for watching our channel.
      Well where do I start, first of all you are limited to Wildax dealers which are quite far apart, we dealt with ES Hartley at Ings Kendal. I believe looking at receives some are better than others, but we opted for the nearest dealer to us. We did this because we have had issues before and you need to take them back for any issues.
      When we collected ours, all was ok until we got home, bits fell off because screws not long enough, electrics on the 12v side didn’t work and the first time out, we noticed a leak behind the shower. All these things were in my opinion due to rushing in the factory and not taking time to check everything before leaving the factory. We still have issues with the alarm system, but this is the alarm owners and not Wildax.
      It took weeks before all was sorted.. My advice is try to check as much as you can when you get the van on the day, camp overnight at the nearest campsite so you can take it back the following day to get sorted.
      After all the teething problems, the van is brilliant size wise, from our bigger van, we had to carry a scooter to get about, now we drive about and can park in those little fishing village car parks and it’s fully loaded. Not a lover of the double hard bed, so we have made ours into 2 singles and they suit us.
      Anyway hope this helps, don’t hesitate to ask any more questions
      Good luck

      @@jimandkay thanks muchly. We have a beautiful VWT6 automatic at moment but just feel we need more space and storage. We're in Suffolk and no dealers nearby so just need to find the best one. Camping nearby when pick up van is a great idea. See you around 😃

    Hi guys, hope you are both well. You touched on the van being in the garage for four weeks but didn't go into any detail. Do you want to share some details? I'm thinking of going for a pulsar but there are some things I would change and I've found your videos helpful. I like the change to the Lagun table and I'd definitely do that. I'm disappointed that there are no fans fitted to the skylights. Your van's coming along nicely and I look forward to seeing more. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work. :)

      Thank you for your nice comments.
      Yes we bought from ESHartley at Ings Kendal, on the first outing we noticed a drip at night, found a leak behind the shower. The 12v system was showing 5.7v on my meter, the alarm wasn’t working proper and reversing sensors had a fault. I took it back and waited all day. They said all done. I took it home checked my phone for the alarm and then checked the fuse, as I opened the panel the fuse fell out what they had fitted. I took the panel off and checked the leak, still leaking, took it to Fiat as told by Hartleys, they couldn’t get to it. So I took the van back, give them the keys and told them to phone when complete, 4 weeks after I picked up the van, all ok but the back panel (carpet) had been pulled away and it looked shocking. I said I am not taking it but they quickly sorted that out. A big question for them, but they could not answer it was “how do I change the rear bulbs”
      Just a quick mention, they couldn’t do the sensors because they couldn’t get to the controller so it had to go back to Wildax. So we have had the van 3 months, 1 month in the garage and only one week away. Touchy subject for me that’s why I had to explain, sorry for the long reply.😁

      @@jimandkay Hi guys, thanks for your prompt reply. I'm not surprised you feel aggrieved, considering you've 'invested' your hard-earned money on your new van. Wildax claim to be innovators, yet where does the pre-delivery inspection come into play here? Reputation used to be important but not so these days it seems. I do hope your troubles are behind you and you can get on with life and more vanning. Thanks again. All the best. :)
