Hi Pete and Sarah, somehow I knew you would have one 😉 yes it was a great addition for long stays. Problem occurred with my powerbank on the last campsite, so the next video is all about installing my new inverter. They have sent me a replacement power-bank, so this will now be my backup. We will try out the inverter properly this weekend. Going away for just 2 nights. Lovely to hear from you, hope you’re both keeping well.

Hi John and Debra, Great news that you now have your van and I am sure you will love it. Yes we love the Duvall sleeping bags, it’s easy to make the beds and they are comfortable.. they are expensive though, we ordered the Duvall Freshtec Sleeping Bag Bundle. Sizes are 66cm width x 4cm Depth. You get the sleeping bag, mattress, cover, summer quilt and pillow case, you also get a spare sleeping bag, winter quilt and pillow case. We find that when away for a while you have a change of bedding so you can wash the other set. You could probably get away with the next size up, but we are ok with these. The drain empties very fast on ours, so we use onsite Motorhome points or if on a field let it slowly drain as instructed by the stewards. If no empty points and we have had a few, we empty at side of the road over a grid. ‘ grey waste only” it’s easy to judge, just line the grid up with the handle and it’s just in the right place, it goes straight into the grid. We are off the stone this weekend, just for a few days, then it’s a cruise in a couple of weeks. I am sure you will love Normandy in the van, it will be fantastic. Just wired in a 2000w inverter, because when we were on a DA a couple of weeks ago our power bank packed up and we had no electric, we were gutted 😞 I Anyway we’re sorted now. Well Pete, when I get something in my head, I just have to conquer it.🤤 putting in an inverter now because my powerbank failed while we were away at Lymington, couldn’t have any coffees.🤣 we use the projector and we also don’t have a tv. They are sending out a new powerbank to us next week hopefully. We’re loving the van. Keep in touch pal, look after the two of you. 👍

@@jimandkay Well guys were loving our van we have covered the driver and passenger seat, with some some semi rigid seat covers with a bit more side support what a pain to install but worth it and look good to, + very unusual for me but we added some bling 🤣 ours being a Citroen we have the chrome badge which extends around the headlight so I added some chrome door mirror protectors 🤣🤣 you definitely can’t miss us driving towards you 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve also made a extension to of the grey waste dump valve and we can run a hose to a pitch drain or use our caravan style grey waste tank with wheels and drag handle so if we’re pitched up we don’t have to drive to the camping car service point to get rid of our grey waste. We got a recall as well last week, so took it over to Citroen Averanche for a ECU reprogram yesterday, seems to be the same though so must have been management parameter fuelling or something we had the same on our Berlingo XTR not long after we bought her we’re off again the end of august for 3 weeks can’t wait, you guys look after you to, 😊 Pete & Sarah 🇫🇷

Yes we did,they would not budge and said motorhomes could not park there, unfortunately we missed the sign. We miss read the picture, buses, vans and Lorrie’s were fine along with cars. We will not be visiting such a hostile place towards motorhome agin. 🤨

We find pros and cons for both, you can park anywhere with the 5m pulsar, but compromise on the beds. This one has great made up beds, but struggle sometimes because of the length. We find that the pulsar had more room inside with that layout. The 5.4m pulsar looks good, but we can’t comment because we have never had one. We find better mpg on this longer fiat than the pulsar, not sure why, up to 5mpg better. Hope this helps, go and sit in one and imagine being away and you will feel if it’s right for you. 😀

I have this one, it’s been brilliant, we can usually get WiFi everywhere, the SIM card is for motorhome and you get 100g for £20 also you get the full allowance in Europe with no speed cap. @jennyanderson6023 I know it’s a little on the expensive side, but it will last for years being 5g. Another one I used which was very good was HUAWEI Mobile WiFi E5785 Model: E5785 - 92c it’s only 4g but very reliable and a lot cheaper. Still have a look at the iqmobile SIM card you can pay month by month and break any time and just use when you need to. Make sure the WiFi is sim free so you can put any SIM card in to it. @jennyanderson6023 yes you can jenny, you get the full package and no restricted speeds. We found it to be brilliant, a signal wherever we went. I always get the 100gb for £20 and it last the month. At the end of the month you need to top up again if required, but try to do it the day before at least so you don’t go without. 👍

Unfortunately you can’t, we’re lucky that we can get to the garage from inside. For the price though I can’t grumble.

Sorry I should have said, you can’t open the doors with the scooter on, but yes you can open with just the rack on 😀

Hi Neil, yes I need to do a video showing some of the works I do because some people have asked. I am not an electrician but, I did my advance in city and guilds joinery which covered some electrical work. I have put a relay in from the power pack, so when the power pack is switched on it overrides other circuits and feeds all the plug sockets in the van. The extra sockets I fitted were spurred off from the kitchen front socket using special electrical connectors “ just for safety” also the circuit from the power bank, I put an extra circuit breaker again for safety. Saying all that the battery pack has a lot of safety features built in. The power bank is a no brainier for me, has a built in mppt controller and 2400w inverter with surge of 4000w and lithium battery. I am working on connecting my van Solar on a switch to power the power bank and also battery to battery charger to charge while driving. I will do a video when I do it. Hope this helps

Hi Andrew, you would have to watch the full 8 episodes of our trip for the route, because I honestly can’t remember the route, but I can list the -places we went and everyone as fabulous. Started from Calai to Luxembourg on a camping AIRE on the episodes we give what three words so you can locate exact positions. Then to Riquewihr, then to Ribeauville, then to Eguisheim, then to Kaysersberg, then Colmar, then Titisee lake, then Triberg, then Nidwalden, then Interlaken, visited Grindlewald and cable cars up top of Jungfrau, while we were their we visited Lauterbrunnon. Off then to lake Annecy from there on to Antibes. 6 nights. Visited Nice, Cannes, Monaco, and Antibes centre. We then set off to Avignon from there to Dijon, then Trier. Sudden holt, decided because of the weather to come home. But you need to visit R hudesheim on the reim, Koblenz and Cologne. All these places are great places to visit, some are very pretty and old and some are landmarks you should enjoy. Hope this helps and have a fab trip. Hi Debra and John, thank you for subscribing. We found we needed more plug sockets around the van, we keep the electrical appliances in the wardrobe instead of clothes, they really creased up in there, we use the lift up cupboard under the bed now for clothes because it’s huge. We have only carried the scooter ( you can’t access the back doors with this on board) but we access through the inside no problem. We leave the offside bed up when travelling to access drawers, cupboard and garage. The only negatives are the water gauges could be better. All positive from us. We hope our next video will be about all our extras and changes. 🤤👍

@1uke4eva yes we have a small mattress with half folded and board with legs attached. It will prevent route out of the van through side door. 😉

Yes we find it quicker, less gas and come out lovely with the twin skillet pans. It was the reason we decided not to have an oven put in, saving us £850 🤤win win

Because there was a covenant on our new property not allowing motorhome and caravans, we got fed up of keep getting it out of storage. We moved home and got permission for the one we have now. 😉

We’re going back and forth between the style you’ve got now and the chausson, I’ve been dead set on the chausson but my wife thinks the sprinter style ones would be easier to drive and would get into supermarket car parks easier Thanks

@Jacko1980 I would have the Chausson. We love this one, but your limited on space and we prefer the comfort of the Chausson 😉
