One of my favorite multi-fuel set-ups is the solo lite with a trangia alcohol stove all of which store inside an 1100 ml titanium pot. I use the alcohol burner to get water boiling for coffee and instant oatmeal for breakfast, but in the evenings, I enjoy having a mini campfire. If you take the time to process some wood, you can get a nice swedish torch fire going and when it gets down to hot coals, you can do some real cooking. I have cooked a bacon wrapped filet to perfection on the Solo Lite topped with a small stainless grill!

You can also throw a Triangia alcohol burner in it when it's wet. I have the lite model and it works great.

It’s interesting how a contained wood burning stove may be prohibited in some areas but a gas stove may be allowed. Both have flames.

I'm looking at the titan and mesa for the garden and weekend camping, which would you recommend as a burner for heat rather than cooking on??

The Mesa XL has now a heat adapter for keeping warm.

The titan is way too heavy to put in a pack. Way too…It will end up in the back of the closet. I have the Titan and the lite. The lite is okay for winter trips where you will be boiling water/melting snow. The alcohol burner doesn’t work “great” in the Titan. I think Hiram says because the flame is too far from the pot, one inch is the sweet spot. The Solo alcohol burner does okay in the Lite, but the burner leaks stored fuel at the crimp just like, or worse than Trangia.
The biggest issue with Solo Stove is heat loss due to wind and I tried to get a Solo windscreen, but they send them out dented/damaged and I got tired of trying to get a good one. I think they send the damaged ones out until some poor person just gives up and keeps it. With wind it can an hour to boil a pot of water and I’m not that patient.

If it is rainy days, you get sucked up😅. A good Gas stove is better.
