Been using mine for a couple of years! Little tip I use. I added a smaller chicken screen inside & run wood pellets. 1 cup of pellets gives you about 30-45 mins of burn time no issues, no adding additional fuel.
Bring a sandwich baggie of pellets & you're set for a weekend.

Probably my favorite wood stove episode. This has to be the most well rounded stove and pot system that burns wood. Its heavy, yes, but its bulletproof.

I live in Michigan, but the pastor of the church I attend (Faith Bible Baptist) is from Louisiana. He's always regailing us with stories about playing in the Bayou when he was a little kid. I, myself, prefer not to be eaten by some overgrown reptile when I'm in my backyard. Great video, my friend.

The Solo Stove Titan is (IMO) the best Solo Stove for outdoor camping & hiking. Great size compared to the
smaller BushBuddy clone. The Titan is not too big & not too small. *Very easy to use* with almost no cost fuel.
    Nice video, God bless.

I have 4 of the solo stoves and love them all for their applications. The only thing you got wrong is country of manufacture. These are a North American design, but made in China. The original design is Canadian. The Canadian stove is twice as expensive, but made in Canada.Solo Stove is a USA company, but not a USA manufacturer of these stoves. Just wanted to make sure everyone knows this is indeed made in China.

The Solo Stove Lite is piratically identical to the Canadian Bush Buddy. The Bush Buddy was the 1st one on the market , is lighter , does costs more and the last time I checked had a waiting time to get one. Both stoves are identical in operation and both are still being made outside the USA.
Like you have have a Solo Stove Lite for my use and even given them ( including Titans and Bonfires ) as Christmas gifts to friends.

The original Bushbuddy, of which this is a copy, was hand made in Canada.
They are now made, under license, by a couple in Alaska. Still handmade and still the original, not a Chi-com ripoff.

After watching yours and everyone else who have reviewed the Solo Titan and 1800 pot, it was very clear that these are the best camp stoves. Getting mine delivered tomorrow! ...but just knowing how to make one quickly from 2 tin cans worked amazing as well btw for anyone who wants one but doesn't have the money. Just use a lot of smaller holes at the bottom of the inside can so that not much falls through. Cover the bottom and a 1/4 way up that bottom can with small holes from a sharpened screwdriver even. Very easy. Big holes for the outer can at the bottom. I used an upside down coffee can and a pasta sauce can. Its not even very tight around the inner can and still works exactly like a solo. I cut a replica shaped pot support from another large coffee can w/ feeding slot. Don't feel you NEED to buy one to have such an awesome design. This version needs to be safe underneath for small ashes, i use a small charcoal BBQ in my backyard.
    😁 🔥🔥🔥🔥😁

Love your channel and your reviews! As a fellow stove junkie, I’m thinking about adding a solo stove to my vast collection. I have a number of wood stoves and really enjoy using them, BUT I have yet to take one on a backpacking trip….strange for sure. Here in Michigan we have a couple islands in the Great Lakes that are owned by the state and allow backpacking. None of them allow campfires except in a designated area and those areas are in a “campground “ type setting. Not the reason why I go there! But they allow twig stoves for cooking and so I’m thinking about taking one next time so that I can at least have a small campfire!
    Keep up the good work!

I own it. ❤❤❤ it. IMHO it is HANDS DOWN THE BEST wood stove on the market. I use hickory wood chunks in mine, gives your foods great smoked flavor. Oh, almost forgot...that TITAN is the perfect stove for Cast Iron cookware. If I remember correctly it will hold weights up to 40 or 60 lbs, again great for most cast iron cookware when fixing a full pot of foods or stews!

Good review Ernie, like you I love stoves and I have many 'twig' stoves, however, I find they all need too much attention to keep going for any length of time, so I end up using alcohol stoves or a campfire. (I still collect/ buy new twig stoves though!.....Crazy)

Iv never tried this type of wood stove. I think my favorite wood stove is the vargo titanium stove due to the size it folds to. If i go for something larger/heavier I actually think the biolite cookstove is a decent option.

Just stumbled upon your channel searching for the titan. I really liked your video. I would have liked if you talked about cleaning it. For the 16oz water to boil at about 6.5 min. That is not long? How long would it take for 3/4 of the pot to boil water

Personally I think the Solo Stove Lite is a lot better for a hiker. It's a more hiker friendly due to it being smaller and lighter then the Titan. Plus it's the perfect size to use a small alcohol stove in as a quick heat source. . Actually all of the Solo Stoves are great it just depends on what you want them for.

Won one of these in a raffle a few years ago. Brought it home. Followed the instructions, but it never did gassify. And I am wondering two things. One I live at 6000 feet above sea level, and two, all I had to burn was pine, cotton wood and elm. No hard wood where I live. So I passed the stove on to some one else. Just not worth the trouble. If I want to cook over a fire I will dig a hold and build a fire. I prefer my Trangia. Oh, and water boils at 188 degree's where I live.

Its well known that the Canway's ($20 @ Amazon) basic two models, especial the larger model M are better perforners then a Solo Titan. The Canway has a solid stainless fuel pan with great air flow via holes. The right way to use a gasifier stove is to pack it with small peices of twigs or wood pellets just below the unburned gas holes. The design is meant to draw the gasses with cool air into the hollow wall and disperse it out the top holes to be ignited by the flames from the fuel at the top LOADED BELOW THE TOP HOLES. Overloading the fuel to the very top diminishes the gasification process greatly. The Canway is safer too because the solid base does not drop burning embers on the ground like the wire Solo does. Solo claims they are the best and the cheap knock offs do not. Thats just balderdash and they need to change out that wire base for a solid base with holes for safety and better gas chimney effect. I hope you can benefit from my instructions on loading and burning the fuel for best performancecof your Solo Titan.c best regards, Craig in northern Illinois.
