I've always known Ana de Armas was based. I remember her appearance on a talk show years ago when the host tried to get her to speak negatively of cuba by asking "what was the most culturally shocking thing for you when you moved to spain?" And she was like "eating canned food from the supermarket". Also she always goes to visit her family in cuba and went to celebrate her birthday there. Ulike many cuban-american celebrities who love to bad mouth the country unprompted. Sorry for caring too much about pop culture lol
Yep, and she did well by not falling for that trap. But see it doesn't matter, now she's a "traitor" to both Cuba and the US according to the propaganda stuff. And let me guess, Cubans are gonna fall for this trash and treat her poorly so that she can't bring any positive attention to her home country. She might be smart, but don't underestimate how dumb the internet is. You should know if you're an asylum seeker, you have to "bad mouth" Cuba, otherwise why are you leaving? Miss De Armas does not need to do that, because she's in the US for her talent. That move to Spain helped her a lot. So please, don't trash Cubans here, everyone knows they have to trash the country to qualify for asylum status. If you're from Spain though, it will be much easier to enter this country and stay in it.
I saw that interview, there was no implication that the host was trying to get her to speak bad of cuba. asking someone who just moved to a new country about culture shock is a very common thing
Actresses date politicians, it's a tale as old as ... campaigning. You got Kim Cattrall dating Trudeau's dad, Rosario Dawson and Cory Booker, and of course who can forget the infamous Marilyn/JFK double death relationship. I am sorry, it happens... Why is this so controversial? Edit: When you had the thumbnail have both women, I thought that's the controversial relationship. LOL
@@amalalmutairi4875Because even though the entire world, (except for the US and iState) wants to remove the blockade and sanctions on Cuba, they still remain under forced outside oppression, and anyone who opposes that oppression is considered basically a "terrorist sympathizer". I am from Miami, born and raised here. MY FAMILY, mother, father, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, are all Cuban. So I can say something about this, unlike that girl from the beginning of the video. Ana de Armas has done nothing wrong. These people freaking outraged that she's dating the stepson of Miguel Diaz-Canal are dumb, first of all, her relationships are not anybody's 'business. Second her relationship won't and doesn't affect Cuba in any way, not negatively or positively. Ana de Armas is an actress and her relationship with whoever won't change the state of Cuba so idk why people are blaming her for things or saying she is a traitor. The comments on that girl's video are sick because they call for Ana de Armas to have empathy yet they are doing the opposite and even bashing her and even calling her names.
I saw her video before this and i was like oh okay I guess Ana is a bad person for dating him? But Hasan’s take kinda confused me like is he just criticizing her for not being Cuban? Like i’ve seen Cubans criticizing this too so i’m confused?? 😭
@@aldanaalbadr8050 Cuban americans are often anti-working class because they're the ones who fled Cuba to protect their wealth. @@aldanaalbadr8050 I think Hasan’s point is that 1) it’s kind of wild that Tefi is involving herself in another woman’s private life. 2) she is not Cuban but is trying to speak over a Cuban woman’s lives experience 3) is simply repeating American state propaganda
Tbh, i would also prefer if Ana de Armas was dating me instead😁
