The best part of Flight Simulator is that it allows you to travel "virtually" to incredible remote locations. It opens up our minds to the possibilities of great places to travel. Add Kodiak Island to my bucket list! Another great video.

This is why I love this sim. I like going on huge flights across a number of real days / weeks. I'm about to fly from BGSF in Greenland to Rothera Research Station Antarctica in the Honda Jet. Having watched your video, very tempted to pick this aircraft up too.
I get a biiiiiig grin 😁 when I see this Goose livery, since I begged Big Radials to recreate it. The real bird is an absolute stunner!!

I live in Anchorage Alaska the goose you’re in I actually see fly over my house every now and then The goose is my favorite Plane in the simulator I really enjoy these videos good job keep them up

I love how this old bird barely needs trimming. nose up a bit, adjust throttle and she sails through the sky steady a rock.
I just love to fly this goose. It carries its blundering design with arrogant aplomb and feeds the pilot nuggets of delight as those engines are given reign.
Wow.. This is great content. I don't have the time to commit a lot of money into peripherals and a new computer to handle MFS 2020, but maybe one day I will get to. I am going on a cruise in Alaska for 11 days the last week of May thru June 6th. I can't wait!
When I was doing a cross world trip the Aleutian Islands were some of the most amazing sights I saw.

agree with you on the airlines. The 737 is a bit more expensive than what I would have wanted, but after using it for a while and seeing all extras like the ground vehicles, multiple variants with modeled interiors, ability to change out equipment on the plane and in the cockpit, including a working and calibrated HUD... ok.
The MD80 is also something I'd like to try out as well for nostalgic reasons, but not at that price.
I did recently pick up with Carenado WACO and I'm pleasantly surprised. I'm assuming that since your first look they've tamed down the aggressive yaw as I found it far easier to stay on the runways during take off / landings.

Thanks for the reminder that this sits in my hanger - It's been neglected lately since the 146 and 310 came along! Great video, had this scenery for a while myself - certainly a reason to be in Alaska a bit more often. Just a pity there's quite few scenery anomalies about, and lower res satellite imagery, Alaska in general lags behind most other regions, plus you don't really get the full satisfaction from investing in the Orbx mesh I feel.
I were always very vocally in the forum regarding pricing, thanks for not reviewing the Maddog!
Pretty sure it's a good plane but this prices aren't acceptable when you see a much bigger and younger pool of potential buyers.
PMDG and Fenix understood this to some degree, thankfully. 💙

I use Delanclip which works really well with MSFS and DCS.
Wonder if someone ever will make a Conwing L-16 for MSFS.
Such a shame that this doesn't start bobbing about on the water... is that because it's a port from FSX or because of the wind?
Also didn't see you put the landing gear UP but can you do that, so that it looks correct from the outside and is the drag modelled?
No, its more the msfs water, this is a native model not a port, water here is... unusual. Gear was up, you hear it move, i was using a control on my throttle quadrant.
great adventure Av , i grabbed the goose as soon as became available on the xbox after seeing your review. a very immersive aircraft love the sound too, when you play with prop and mixture sounds so good. i was disappointed because i thought the console version had a a bug and i couldnt open the windows to really enjoy the motors, thanks for showing me how to unlock them! flight dynamics are great although my water landings are still a bit rough. being selfish the only aircraft on my wishlist you have already tested so have no requests. not that i am buying anything new at the mo, had problems with SU9 so not adding until sim is stable for me again
its been a bit wonky on starting the sim for me, but its doing ok ish. WU9 seems to not be derpy yet :D
@@AvAngel i`ve been fortunate too. had to remove the few scenery pack i had and live weather was a problem but the sofly weather has been ok. fs2020 forum , there have been plenty experiencing a lot worse and now WU 9 is getting mentioned
There's a clicking in the cockpit that I can't get to stop. I don't know what it is.
The meme is WU9 shouldn't and doesn't technically effect crashes or performance :D its just scenery basically... people sometimes imagine shit, though SU9 is... wobbly still
@@AvAngel us xbox flyers got a patch this sunday which seems to have smoothed a lot of the problems out, hopefully P.C. flyers got some help too.

So how are the water physics right now? Are they realistic for float plane operations or trash? I can't tell if you are trying to role play or you have to actually put those inputs in, for weatherveaning etc
Water is meh but not total junk, as for sailing the aircraft that’s wind effect so I am steering.,, but the wind is moving me

Honestly, I only put two per video, and they don't always show up. I'd say 2 in a 20-30 minute video is more than justifiable seeing as I do need to actually earn a living... buying aircraft for review is not remotely cheap.

It's more than fine, I don't think many people realise how little youtubers make on average, its quite low for most, only gets to be 'good money' when you're a huge channel with hundreds of thousands of views.

Of course,you could have cheated by using slew.A nice hairy flight (not too long) is MT61 to 8U2,both grass strips,8U2 is tricky to get into.Go on,I dare you....................................................
