    Gold! So helpful to see shooters dealing

    You really want to see mirage and wind conditions try camp perry long range in the summertime. It was bloody brutal this past summer. Winds between 15 to 28 mph all day.temps pushing 90's . Above 36 power on the scope magnification you couldn't see the target. . I really enjoyed the video. Well done. Thanks

    Enjoyed the conversation, but the bouncing around in the last match discussion was hard to follow. But interesting to hear the different ways you and Erik were evaluation the conditions. Thanks for sharing.

    I must ask, why no electronic targets? They are very accurate and much faster than up/ down pit work. Please why?

    black bowls of jello.
    I was on relay 4 that day down on target 28. I scored for a F T/R shooter that just got murdered on the line. that wind and mirage was horrifying. I'm sorry to say but It makes me feel better seeing you guys struggle with the same garbage we were struggling with. weird elevation shifts for no reason. and it felt like it was impossible to get ahead of the wind. This is a great opportunity for my daughter and I to learn more about how we did and what we could have done better.

      Yeah it was straight up crazy out there. As they say, everyone has a plan until they don't and I fell into that one for sure. Glad the videos help your daughter, see you in Feb.

    Great video and very nice to have two living legends of the Long Range Rifle Shooting! I admire and I have learn a lot from both of you that if you start shooting 8's you will still have my admiration and respect! Thank you guys!

      Thank you and trust me, nobody is too good to never shoot an 8 or worse on the right day. You just do your best and see how it shakes out.

    Maybe if you had enough coffee you could get shaking at the same rate as the mirage. Great shooting anyway. Thanks for these dialogues, they're very interesting.

    John, great vid! Maybe it’s nice to show on these targets where you aimed so new shooters have the idea how things switch and how you handle them.

      It's really hard to do especially on a collaboration video like this but if you listed to us talk you'll hear up say 'left one' or 'two more line'. What that translates to is Left One would be the left side line of the X ring, Left Two would be the left side line of the ten ring and so on. We don't typically hold for elevation so just assume we are holding along the center line. Hope that helps.

    I'm sitting here getting salty about being at work all the time while ya'll are practically constantly out shooting. The grind blows, man. I learn a lot from you guys, though, so thank you.

      For sure. We all take turns and have to help so we all try to provide the best service possible because you never know what they’re dealing with and you don’t want pit service to inhibit their ability to succeed.

    what scope magnification did you guys use for this range?

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't speak for Erik but I was on 50 power the whole time. That's one of the reasons I like the Trijicon Tenmile. I've been able to run high power in tough conditions.

    • @ErikCortina
      @ErikCortina ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I run at 40X. I got used to it running the NF 12-42, so I just keep it there.

    In this day and age of electronics why is the ranges refusing to adapt to this. Pulling targets for hrs is I think ridiculous.
