If Dumb and Dumber hadn't messed up the last two seasons of "Game Of Thrones" because of their own hubris and arrogance, as well as Martin's spectacular failure and inability to finish ASOIF, this would have been legendary and awesome. This music is hauntingly beautiful and rightly conjures what could have been.
Also... instead of getting the horribly mediocre and boring "House Of The Dragon", HBO should have stuck with it's original plan to develop the series about "The Long Night" ("Blood Moon" as it's working title was known). Instead they spent $30 million dollars on a pilot episode with Naomi Watts that we will never see...

This is the closest mix I've come to hearing that is perfect for reading. It is only the mysterious, yet not overarching ambient mix. It doesn't have obnoxious battle tones to it, it just has beautifully balanced, curious music. I wish a Lord of the Rings version existed just with 'Shadow of the past' style ambient tunes, no massive I AM LORD SAURON BURRR sections.
Funny, I was just thinking the same thing. It's really annoying when an "ambient" playlist just throws everything in without concern for atmosphere or consistency. If I wanted battle music, I would have picked a battle music mix.

It's the best in the GoT selection of ambiance. It's got enough zing to keep you awake, but not so much that it becomes obnoxious.

was just thinking today, 3 years later how much i miss this series when it was at its peak. i tuned in when season 4 started airing and i really miss waiting to see what happened every sunday. if i ever watch it again idk if i could watch the last 2 seasons :( waited so long for those episodes and loved theorizing with my friends in between to be ultimately disappointed
