I love this theme, it's so sad. I'm Scottish, so I love the way some of the stark morals/traditions and the winterfell landscape seem to reflect/take inspiration from scotland
I'm scottish too and have always thought the exact same!! In fact, I'm not living in Scotland just now, as I'm at university elsewhere, and anytime I feel homesick, I listen to soundtracks like this as it reminds me so much of the land.

Reminds me of well a mix of things really. The Starks seem to be the Scots/Germans with the Roman dedication to duty when it comes to the Wall and allies. Its a very good theme and really is a... Well stark contrast to the Lannisters who act like they own everything for just being Lannisters

@@atlanteanautist1434 well, the environment feels 100% like northern ireland much more than the north of england since it was filmed there. and the music is much more celtic than anglo saxon. the northern english accents are the only thing.

I feel the need to share this. I've finally come to the last few months of my last year of IGCSE. My exams are supposedly in November, but the dates are ever changing because of Covid19. Its been a year and maybe 3 months, that I've been homeschooling, and I have said it before, its not always easy. This Channel has helped and supported me in ways I can never put to words.
Last Thursday, I was working on my last English Assignment, hoping and praying for some kind of inspiration to help me though it. I was instructed to write 700 words, and usually, I'd be glad with that, excited to write, and even scared to pass the word limit. But this time, for the life of me, I couldn't write. I was utterly stuck... And while I was listening to Ambient World's tracks, this came on. I was so moved and touched by every note and sound, that I just started to sob. But there, amidst the pain, I found it. I was finally inspired. And then I wrote my heart out... Looking back at the finished piece (720 words - the re edited version), I am so extremely proud of the work I have accomplished. I believe that it could even be the best short story I've written in a while.
I know that I always say this, but I want to say, thank you. All of these pieces have changed me in ways I just can't explain. I cant possibly see what this year could have been like without Ambient World. Please know, that to some, this channel is a life line, a sanctuary, a happy place. I couldn't have been more inspired by your story of how this Channel was birthed. It all starts with that one step. Keep working wonders! I am profoundly grateful for all of it. And I also want to say how grateful I am for the community built around this channel, I've never felt more at home.
I really hope everyone out there is safe.

Came to here to hear this masterpiece now that the show has ended. Not happy with it, but I still think I'm satisfied with it. They way it ended reminded me of life itself, which often happens to be bittersweet and painful at times, and as adults, we are meant to accept it and deal with it. There is aftermath, though. Now, aftermath comes for Jon.
At least for me, this show was the greatest I've ever seen. Its characters will endure in the memories of the ones who somehow got involved by its story.
Goodbye, brother. You are the shield that guards the realms of men. Now and forever.

Yeah it is a representation of life. If the writers were serious they coulve followed the genius GRRM and made a fucking masterpeice. But they decided to be lazy fucks and fucked up. Its a representation of what NOT to do in life.
I wouldn't mind a sad ending but the two authors pretty much performed character assassinations... Tyrion was the bad guy in the end, picking a new king at his own trial? This story dropped so many important "rules" it boggles my mind.. the only thing that made me feel better was watching youtube videos explaining all the fk ups lol.

I've listened to this fabulous video many times over throughout the year. It resonates so much deeper during the winter season. The hauntingly beautiful refrain of the Stark/Winterfell themes move me like no other.
ikr!!! Every time i listen to it it takes me back to winterfell as if i lived there and so did my parents and grandparents, I can't explain it, it feels like home, my old home where I grew up, I feel things I never experienced, so haunting and soulful indeed

I love these ancient instruments. One of the best parts of GOT has to be the music and it's ability to evoke certain moods. I could imagine sitting on a hill overlooking a valley in the snow waiting to take my final breath as flakes settle on my face. Not a bad way to go.

A Song of Ice and Fire is the greatest book series ever written, in my opinion; and Game of Thrones, despite its many flaws past season 5 or even 4, still remains the greatest TV show ever made, in my opinion.

This is breathtakingly beautiful! I love how you did all the northern themes here but added "I am hers, and she is mine" to hint at Robb and Talisa's wedding by the weirwood tree, or even Lyanna and Rhaegar. (Fun fact now it's a Jaime and Brienne theme too)

I highly recommend the show, at least up until season 5. It starts going downhill due to a lack of book material. As for said books... in my opinion they're the true masterpiece. George R.R Martin is one of the greatest authors alive.

Im going to miss this show so much. Like a lot of people I wasn't thrilled with the ending. But the journey was Awesome. I am not sure why "the stark" music helps me at work so much but it DOES..
