I went into the cinema to Interstellar with someone who didn't know anything about the movie except that it's sci-fi. 20 Minutes in he turned to me to ask dead serious "are you sure this is the right movie? S.T.A.Y is my favourite track. Despite the sadness (and timely message) of the movie, there's a hope in the music that lifts the heart and gives hope, something that is needed in these harsh and terrible times. And this Definitive Cut is superb. Thank you so much for giving this work to the world.

Knowing how Zimmer likes to use extra sounds to fit into his music (such as the famous ticking of a watch), I think I noticed something else. I live close to an Air Mobility Command AFB and we get C-130s over our house all the time, so I’ve become very familiar with their sound. I think I can hear that droning noise in the first piece, as part of the background.
