Me and a friend were drinking one night and we decided that Yajirobe was originally meant to be Goku's father. Mainly just because when he's first introduced he's just a grown up version of Goku

I miss when everyone's strength was relative to a normal human's. It made all the feats so extraordinary, but not so far that it's inconceivable. Now someone can blow up a planet, and it's a "WOW!" thing, but it doesn't feel the same as when kid Goku and kid Krillin ran past a guy speeding in a sports car.
i love dbz and all but yeah, maybe more content from dragonball era but different character perspectives would be cool/interesting, because like you said it was a very different vibe much more grounded in reality
I don't mind the cosmic Overkill I just wish everybody was on a little bit more equal footing. Super tried to fix it but it still felt really cheap. Like let's be honest Krillin was just along for the ride in the tournament of power. Every time they do something it feels like charity now
@@noremac7216 I think one of Super's main issues is it is trying to make the past characters relevant. Sometimes the past needs to stay there. Tenshinhan, Chaozu, Pu'ar, Oolong, Lunch, Yamcha, Kulilin...They are all no longer at the point where they fit in Goku's journey. But Super is more fan fiction than a cohesive story. They rely far too much on past material. They should have never tried to rehash Freeza, Cell, Broly or Future Trunks. The Beerus story arc was enough to carry the show. They should have leaned into it more and left the fan fiction member berry stuff at home.
@dragonrings14 I completely disagree. Out of all of Super's many many flaws I think that's one of its most redeeming qualities and I think it's worth shortcomings is when they drop the ball on that. I'm glad that characters Tenshinhan and Roshi get to fight. I just missed when they were doing stuff in the background more. The overall tone of super just feels way to casual, I miss them scrambling to build a spaceship to go to Namek, everybody running to hide Goku from the androids, Krillin trying to sneak up with a detonation device, Mr Satan befriending Majin Buu. I'm happy they get to fight more now but I wish there was more non-combat related tension during the story Beats. Everything is super happens in between story Beats
Remember, when Yajirobe originally showed up in Dragon Ball, he was either about as strong, maybe stronger, than Goku, since he one shot one Cymbal. It’s just that the power creep from Z to Super is insane once you actually sit and look at it
@@metaemperor I don’t think so. Tambourine was Piccolo Daimao’s strongest spawn back then, and by a country mile. Yajirobe was strong, but for me, Tien and Goku were the only 2 with the strength to match the likes of Tambourine.

From whatever we’ve been able to see from them in the universe and community consensus, Cymbal is universally seen as the weakest among the fighters that were his offsprings. I think Tien and Goku can easily deal with Cymbal, and not to mention, Yajirobe struggled a fair bit before landing that sweet blow.
Ultra instinct is just a ripoff of one of the secret techniques of fist of the north star because dragon ball super has no originality ever since dragon ball z was the last time the dragon ball series had original ideas.

I believe that's Justin Cook as Cymbal, and he used the same exact voice as he did with Seiryuu in Yu Yu Hakusho, and both characters got sliced up by a sword character. Coincidence?! Yeah, actually, looks that way.

He's as physically strong as Tien was at that point. The main difference is Yajirobe didn't have the ability to fly or use Ki attacks like Tien could.
