Tyrone Eady Honestly, I preferred him at the beginning of the Buu Saga turning people into stone. At the end of the Saga, he doesn’t seem like himself by being that nice hanging out with Chichi, Bulma and Videl. My opinion.
Fun Fact: This is the exact moment Babidi lost. Dismissing Dabura meant that Babidi had no other loyal servants to defend him. If he sealed Buu up than the Z Fighters would kill him at the first opportunity, if he didn't Buu would just do it himself.
This was even when Dabura was still marked with the Majin symbol. Vegeta was too powerful to be brainwashed, but he allowed it to happen so he could drop his restraint. Dabura actually broke away from the brainwashing to try and defeat Majin Buu. Babbidi may have actually been much less powerful than we thought.

You'd think that if the most powerful being in the universe was soulbound he'd have given his counterpart more protection or they would be equally as powerful.
Technically Buu has the ability to split his body so he would have just split off and reformed. It would take too long to turn him into stone completely.

I don’t think Dabura broke Babidi’s control. He always acts in the interests of Babidi. We see from the beginning that being under Babidi’s control doesn’t mean you always agree with everything - there are multiple instances of Dabura voicing disagreement with Babidi’s decisions

Babidi was a nice change of pace from the other DBZ villains. They were usually a threat in their own right but Babidi just surrounded himself with tough guys and he himself was pretty weak.
He would have to disguise it as an insult gesture. Or buu would know what hes up to. He can break off his limbs and regenerate them. Buu regenerates @ an ATOMIC level. not just organic core & cellular.

One of the few times where Buu isn’t the dumbest person in the area. If Babidi listened to Dabura, he might have lived just a little longer or at least wouldn’t have died such a gruesome death, as much as it was deserved.
Buu would just detach pieces of himself to resist full petrification. And the pieces of him that *DID* turn to stone, he could use his tentacle to morph them into food, eat them, and regain his entire physique again.
