Even I am not sure, Mam. See if this will work for you - If it is allowed to have gold chit then you can put gold chit. Every month the chit should accommodate gold rather than money itself. For example if you are saving Rs.10,000 every month, the chit should give you Rs.10,000 / price of one gram of gold (around 2 grams of gold) every month instead of Rs.10,000. At the end of the chit, purchase gold jewellery with the chit within the making charges that is given free for the gold chit (it is 9% - 18% based on the store). Buy 91.6 KDM jewellery only. In that case, when you want to construct the house, you can sell the jewellery. You will loose GST while selling but no making charges in this case. I may be wrong mam, please do your research.

If you sell the gold coin...they will deduct 2% of the total.amount and credit in your bank account..not give cash on hand. One more thing...916 coin not advisable. 24 Carat coin is advisable coz 99.9% purity. If you buy 1 gm or 5 gm same GST for coin.
If I buy 1gram per month making charge 300rs. For total 12 months 3600rs making charge. Waste of 3600rs per year. At last 12 each gram if you return and make one chain you have get - usage charge in 1500 RS total 5100rs waste. Best idea is to buy ETF gold bonds

Both are ok. 24 carat has 99.99% purity. It is costlier as it has more gold in it. 22 carat will be less expensive as it has copper mixed in it. 22 carat is stronger than 24 carat. For investment purposes, we can buy whichever has less making charges.
When you want to invest your monthly savings, RD or SIP in mutual funds is better. However if you want to invest only in gold, it is better to have gold chit rather than purchasing 250 gms and 500 gms gold coins. You need to pay making charges for small coins too and quality is not guaranteed.
