So, I figured I'd do another Silent Hill cover this year for Halloween. I had a BLAST making this one, not only because it's one of my favorite tracks from Silent Hill 2, but I had loads of fun making the solo and outro! Also, I've actually been wanting to cover this song ever since I finished my first Silent Hill cover! So, it's been a long time coming, but it's finally here =). Probably the best cover of this song I've ever heard (and I've heard a lot)
I love remixes in general but frankly this is the best cover I've ever heard. Dare I say it sounds better than the original.

Thanks! I don't know much about the games that came out after Silent Hill 3, but I definitely think that the first three were pretty good. I personally like SH2 the most for its focus on psychological themes, whereas SH1 and SH3 dealt more with the occult. Anyways, most of the music in Silent Hill is ambient and atmospheric. There are a handful of other guitar-driven tracks in SH2 that I definitely plan to cover at a later point though!

Hey dude, don't know the original all too well, but I'm sure I've heard it before (at least, bits of it ;-)) Anyway, no need to know it to know you did a great cover! (And I now see @efirehawk wrote about the same in different words ;)) Hearing this I very much look forward to combined acoustic / electric guitar covers! I believe this & other non-DOOM covers aren't represented in a playlist on your channel, perhaps you should put them together! Cheers!
Thanks! Yeah, I need to use my acoustic more now that the weather has cooled down here finally. It's always tricky trying to record with it and I've also gotta get my room to be really quiet by turning off my fan.

Great man, makes some covers easier to discover. Btw: I was more thinking of putting all your covers that weren't represented (Touhou & Ace Combat are) in that list. But still useful, you can always make more lists when 'sensical' of course ;-)
Listened some more, to the original as well, really liking this, and yeah, it's getting boring: def. deserves more recognition(!) This IMO simply measures up to the original.

Yeah I had thought about leaving out the Touhou and Ace Combat covers. However, I figured that the other franchises/series would all get their own playlists eventually. I usually wait until I've made atleast four covers from a certain series before it earns its own playlist.
Also, making it "big-big" someday... Now that would certainly be pretty cool!

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the cover! As for tips, I think it's important for any independent musician/artist to learn how to use a DAW (FL Studio, Reaper, Cubase, Etc.). As tricky as it may be in the beginning, I definitely think it is well worth it being able to produce and mix your own audio! I also recommend something like Hitfilm Express for video editing (since it's free!). However, I think the most important thing is to perform and cover pieces that you absolutely enjoy. I think it's crucial to just have fun with it, and to really try and put your own spin on things when you can! It's also important to remember that growing and nurturing a channel definitely takes time. Even if it takes a while, just be consistent and upload as often as you're able to. So yeah, just keep at it =)! ~DAR
Yep, listen to Dar. Thanks to him I decided to start learning music as well ( starting with how to play the guitar ) and I believe everything he said makes perfect sense. What kept me on track was attempting to play what I truly like and that's what kept me motivated so far. It is important to have fun with it and avoiding making it feel 'like homework'. Good luck!
