Great video. I just ordered my Vector Athletics split squat band belt (11/1/24) because it felt awkward resting the x3 bar across my shoulders and I needed something to help keep the focus on my workout without the unneeded tension of the bar pressing against me. Thank you for recommending this product.
Mike, swear I've been praying for this. I don't like the bar across my back, or up on my front shoulders. This is really what I need. Ordering on the spot. Thank you as always!!
Mike can you explain how the Vector Athletics Over Load Straps work and how they setup with the Vector Squat belt and when using a bar doing training with bands. The Vector web site doesn’t show the use of the Straps or a setup. Thanks
I'm looking at doing a video on this, but basically its for double looping band under a footplate and then extending the straps as low as you as you want say for back squats or to overload a shoulder press. You can see a brief clip of it here in a recent video th-cam.com/video/pMD6mpimt58/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HTD3xPhx22uy2F2u&t=511
Can you make a video on the best tube bands? I have the x3 and love it but low weight work like single biceps curls, shoulder raises, facepulls are better with tube bands and handles
Thanks Mike, great review of the belt. Just ordered mine with your code. Can’t wait to get it. Wish it was able to handle a bar, in this case my Isomax bar. I usually do Isometric training first right before my dynamic exercises for that body part I’m training.
Kinda of unrelated to the video, but that raised lunge you did off of your bench, is that more effective at hitting the glutes? That hight I would have to work up to probably, my knee might say no off the rip. That belt looks really cool by the way, it has me interested.
Great video! Do you know when you'll be reviewing the ez curl bar? I'm overseas and it's cheaper to buy both at once but it would be great to hear your thoughts before committing! Cheers
Great review. I got mine a couple weeks ago and I'm still playing with it and configuring what's best for me. Belt squats are the best for me, I was doing them with the X3 black band as the belt and hooking dark grey X3 band, maybe green serious steel with my feet. Appreciate the review!
Thanks for the discount code, Mike! I asked Max to add one of these to my delayed preorder for the Z-Bar and ship them when the Z-Bar is ready, but he actually shipped it ahead of time and it showed up yesterday. What a nice man to deal with! I haven't had chance to do a full workout yet, but I had a quick play yesterday and this thing is heavy duty. That seems to be Vector's deal, so now I'm even more excited for the Z-Bar!
one of the best ways to squat is with a belt connected to a heavier band, but those vector bands fit my bill so i need to order some!and using bands and the belt on the total gym is a great idea mike!i think because the bands are directly connected to u the leg workout might be greater🤔 box squat yes, great video
@@hybridresistanceif u could somehow stand the total gym (without it collapsing into itself) up vertically or on a very slight incline, you could probably make something very similar to a hack squat machine or leg press with high resistance using this belt
@@outtrigger Agreed. I always wished total gym would build a way to get it vertical, yet fully stable. At my age (61), squats with back support is most appreciated.
theres a video from vector athletics using the overload straps to do “barbell back squats” looks pretty cool, i havent seen any other products like it.
Made the purchase through your link and with your discount code. Thanks for the review, with shipping was $60 CAD cheaper than the X3 squat belt I was going to get.

How is the fit on these? Just ordered one but now I'm doubting the sizing. I wear 34-36 pants and went with a large. 31-36 range would too close i am thinking.
I feel like you could have been fine with a medium, but of course I can’t say for sure. I’m sure if you wanted to you could reach out to them and they could adjust the order.
Thanks for reviewing this squat belt, especially ways to use it! I just ordered a medium (will work for good and bad diets 😄). Thanks for the promo code! Subscribed.
You can just use a regular lifting belt or loaded dip belt, wrap cushy towels around where you're threading through the loop of the resistance band. Then you wont ruin your resistance bands, and you avoid buying the belt 😂 at least you won't decrease the tension using lower hooks that decrease the stretch of the band 😂 makes the belt so redundant
What can help is just keeping it stable with your hands on the first few reps. Main thing is making sure bar is secure. But I'm not sure unless without more information.
This channel is a goldmine.
Thanks my friend.

Appreciate it. Thanks for watching
I’ve been using mine a couple of weeks. Seriously nothing I would change on it, the fit and quality are great. There is 0 plastic on it.
Great to hear that, thank you for sharing.
Thanks Mike! Great review, I'd been looking forward to this one!
Thanks Joe.
Thanks for reviewing this new band belt and getting us a 20% off promo code! Ordering one today!
Thank you so much!
Finally got my set in the UK. on Ebay, X3 system and the VA belt all for £130. was a great workout. thanks for the recommendation.
Just about any attachment straps or belts for a cable machine can be used with carabiners for bands.
I could have used half an in to an inch shorter but i took the doubled over band and put a knot in the middle and put the x3 plate over it.

Great review and I love your leverage machine.
Thanks again Lou. It's one of those machines that you can always find something to take advantage of on it.
Another item I'll order, through your links of course.
Seems like a well thought out and designed belt. Thx.

I think I should be able to review it by next weekend
Your videos are super informative and enjoyable. Just ordered the belt and look forward to your Harambe K Bar review

Thanks Elad. I don't thin I fully messed with the TG options, but still felt like I'd rather have the bands anchored to the glide board.

Hi Mike. Can you use the belt attached to the lever arms of you your lever gym?
No shipping to the UK??? Ahhhh
Gutted
I live in the UK and they shipped it to me no problem.
Its a very good product
Anyone else have personal experience and feedback comparing to the X3 squat belt?
I see you got the BalanceForm 45lb plates in the back. Mine arrived yesterday, 1 was good 3 were broken🤪
That's not cool brother. I got mine 3 years ago, I'm sure the quality and construction is all over the place. At least you can return them for free.
Do you know if they ship to Hong Kong? It would be a huge help if somehow they are able to ship it here. 🙏🏻
I'm honestly not sure. I'm sure they are made not far from there, but they are shipping from Canada.

@@hybridresistance - if you can get access to a Bullbar Portable Pullup bar for a review...
Could vector's belt be used with harambe system like the x3 squat belt?
Yes, they can, just really depends on the band size you're using.
Is this band belt significantly better than just doing the split squat while holding the bands in each hand?
It's definitely more comfortable. If you're going to go heavy, you'll want this for sure.
Can use it with X3 plate?
Yes, definitely.
I bought one of these already…it’s fantastic

Can the hooks fit over the end of a harambe bar?
Do you mean on the slings? Either way, I don’t think it would work.
@@hybridresistance I was hoping it could just be slid on a naked harambe bar without the slings on. That's a shame if it's not big enough.
My X3 belt hooks keep sliding off and my bar keeps slamming to the floor. What am I doing wrong? Asking for a friend.
What can help is just keeping it stable with your hands on the first few reps. Main thing is making sure bar is secure. But I'm not sure unless without more information.
Just ordered using g your code
Thanks so much David.
I'm sold.
