for anyone that still watches these videos. Sgt Rae passed away in November 2020 from COVID-19. RIP Sgt Rae. the best NCO out of all the Bad Lad Army's series'.
Yeah, I only heard about that recently myself, such a shame and another one from the Bad Lads Army series to pass away- along with Cpt Richard Owen, Michael Lowes, Robert Page and Aiden Chaffe. Rest in Peace
You know, when all is said and done this is what these bad eggs need, t hey need to confront themselves and face adversity in the face of screaming officers, and then win their respect, and by doing so they get the positive praise they probably never received in life.
funny thing is im left handed for everything but when i fired a enfieled i used my right hand to shoot with as i try using my left hand it felt too weird
I like how you can earn the respect of the sergeant other senior personal by doing exactly what you are told to do without contempt. Also, I didn't know Love Island was that old! 2006! Christ!
That’s the primary difference between the British / Australian training methods and American. In America, you will get yelled at no matter what at some point. In the Commonwealth, you will have to endure suffering and stress, but if you do precisely what your DS tells you to do he will never beast you (unless that was part of the general training process, in which case he’s hardly going to yell at you.) There’s legitimate discussion as to whether that’s better as I feel the Commonwealth rewards good behaviour whereas the Americans only ever builds up resistance to stress- no matter what you do you’re buggered
@@wkcia I think its obvious, commonwealth units, or rather commonwealth realm armies statistically perform better than their American counterparts, of course there are many other different factors in training which contribute to this statistic but I feel this is a significant one
Looks like FNC1 rifle I carried in Boot camp 1989 Cornwallis. Hated that rifle. LOL. For a challenge, my Sgt held a hockey stick balancing a puck above his head for 4.5 hours (so Canadian). Didn't cry once. LOL
Those are the ones responsible for training soldiers. You are seriously mistaken if you show them any disrespect because they do not hold fighting roles. Still, only one of the CPLs and Sant Ray are from there; Murray is a Para, the Provos from Grenadier Guard.
It was because they made it into an individual competition rather than focus as their growth as people. Officer Class was also shite for similar reasons, a select few were picked and the rest discarded. That is not was Series 1 and Series 2 was about - they were about the group and making sure the people could work within the group.
Jonathan Lundkvist I loved how the first season focused on inspections and drill, especially the way Sgt Sullivan made it funny af, shame he had a screen time of about 20 minutes for all of S2. Personally S3 is my favourite it had so many good characters and each exercise got a lot of coverage if that’s even the right word. In S4 the recruits were boring imo. Also how did you manage to reply within minutes to me on an 8 year old video haha

I am very sorry to read that.
An hour is damn impressive
@Billy But Whole Well said.
These were true warriors
Tried it with my own rifle. Lasted 42 mins and nearly passed out so had to stop😥
I'd be so honored to have that mans respect.
I'll give them credit. it creates a lot of pride

When you’re not sure if he’s making an actual offer or just trying to break his morale
I mean, he did pour it on his beara, and so I'd guess he's trying g to.stop me

Still watching these on 31/12/21 and there still brilliant.
Ah...the Lee Enfield 303. Happy memories.. A bitch to use if you are left handed.
funny thing is im left handed for everything but when i fired a enfieled i used my right hand to shoot with as i try using my left hand it felt too weird
***** I don't know of any. Not saying you couldn't, but I should think it would be difficult.
I thought the enfield always fired a 308?
animelovers000 .303
they hilariously made a semi auto version
If those last two could put up that kind of resolve in the forces, they'd be able to make a good carreer for themselves.

I remember running to the tree and back a few times in catterick with my slr over my head lol
I’m surprised that Smedley was the first to drop despite the fact that he is solid 💪💪💪💪
Reminds me of how we used to get smoked for dirty guns on infantry course. It's so tiring and rough, I recommend anyone who thinks it's easy to do it.

are these army still recruiting, seems a lot nicer and easy going than todays British and Americans are doing
Team building classic
Can anyone tell me what year this was
Shown in 2006
Strength 💪and conditioning with rifle
Sounds like ser allister thorne at the start
Good old 303 lol
@chiggerskido haha.i made that comment at the 5 min mark thinkin it was easy..did not realize they did it for 50 mins..holy shit that would be tough.
This my rifle there are others like it but this one is mine
Rip Sarge!
Holding an SLR on an outstretched arm OWWWWWWWWWWW. I am bleeding impressed
OMFG. NO WAY😮😮😮😮😮😮
why didnt the black guy get the smock and jump with the chute ?
Even having a selection at all undermined the entire point of the show.
@ Bad Lads Extreme was more about the competition and less about the guys personal journeys sadly.
@ You're right - Nooky said a few months later that he'd had to leave because of a private family crisis
I wish I could be on this show. bad wankers army.
9 pounds is about 4kg , we use heavier rifles in cadets 😂 we literally stood there for over 30mins like this and we’ve got heavier weapons
It’s not about the weight
Kind of is , we do the same thing and SOME of them couldn’t hold it as along as most of us but I’m only saying SOME and we’re around 12-15 years old
no reason why they coudnt let them fire live rounds on range unless they are felons they are banned for life
They did fire their weapons in Lads Army, Series 1
@studmalexy Hehe :P
@chiggerskido I did this with 10lb dumbells.. it was kinda tough but still pretty easy to do.
You stood there for an hour with 10lbs above your head? You fucking turkey.
.

Aaron lambo 2 then you're a weak pathetic piece of shit that depends on a crutch

No, he just has life choices that differ from yours. The same could be said about alcohol. We are all weak. That's part of being human.
