It's sad to see someone leaving and glad someone can leave this place once we call home

I know it sounds cliche, but deep down I didn't want to leave. Then again, we will see what the future holds for me. Good luck to you too, wherever you maybe. :)

HKG is so empty. I only ever remember it so busy. It's sad what's happening there as I have good memories there, especially my last trip there. At least you left in style flying Singapore Airlines Business. I'm excited to see your new adventures in England.

You are correct. I have never seen the airport being THAT empty either. The mood inside is quite depressing as well, as nearly all travellers are either expats leaving HK for their homes; or HKers like myself leaving for good.

@@paulyiustravelogue the Hong Kong you and I know probably will never return. How unfortunate.

It must be so sad to leave your country behind maybe for good - I hope the UK is good for you. I went to HK a few times all back in the Kai Tak days - it was wonderful and vibrant. SIA Business Class is the way to do it - I loved my time flying with them - though found the regional A350 the 'worst' of their offerings (v. the A380 (my favourite) and the 777 (best for sleep) Thank you for the review!

Thanks for your message, and the UK has been treating me well thus far. I too miss the Kai Tak days. Landing was always fun and exciting. You could literally see folks hanging their clothes on top of their roofs when the plane is above Kowloon City and just one minute before touchdown. That period of time was fun and relatively carefree. Do check out Part 2 of my miniseries, and find out if my A380 experience is on par with yours. Once again, thanks for watching.

@@paulyiustravelogue yes Kai Tak was exceptional! I never made it to the new one - and I've watched and commented on your A380 vlog. I don't think our experiences could compare - I was travelling in a free time before Covid to a friendly destination on a much planned for holiday - and the business class on Singapore Airlines was part of the holiday. I chose a day departure from LHR (SQ317) stayed at the new airport hotel at Terminal 2 that had only opened days before for the night before and all in all had the most fantastic experience.

Hope you have a joyful life in England. How early did you arrive at the HK airport and how full was the flight to SG?

Thanks for your message, and the UK has been treating me well thus far. I arrived at the HK International airport just over 3 hours before the flight time. Yes, we got there way way early, and the check-in counter wasn't even open when I arrived, but I've already packed and literally have nowhere better to go; so that is why. Thanks for watching, and do check out Part 2 of my miniseries.

Upon re-watching the original footage I shot, I think you are right. Then again, perhaps I remembering it wrong, I thought the IFE on their A350 offers touch screen? :D
