From an album titled "Opening Night 1969", this is a live recording of Elvis performing "Suspicious Minds" on August 3, 1969. Opening Night was actually 3 days prior, on July 31st. Nevertheless, this is the earliest known recorded version of Elvis performing this song live on stage, at the International in Las Vegas.
It was brand new. It's raw. It's electric. And it never is played like this again, with changes over the coming weeks that we would hear on future releases. The song wasn't even released yet on record.
