@@James.G.Ireland That is an excellent response and I appreciate your cheekiness but I'll respond in good humor. First, nowhere in the Bible does the Lord recognize copyright infringement. Second, I would equate this transgression -- five decades after the fact -- with feeding the hungry masses, and this rare performance is fish and bread fed to the hungry masses. Third, the thief on the cross who died alongside Jesus received the blessing of "Paradise." So that's my answer. I'm comfortable with my original statement and suspect that most people would side with me on this one. The Lord may disagree -- it's totally up to Him and I don't make His decisions -- but I still hope that he blesses this cameraperson for taking such a risk that could, in today's environment, be equated to taking video on a cell phone. I hope God bless you, too, Sir.

Long time Elvis fans will say, with some appreciable merit, that ‘71 was the “lost year” but one could make the case that ‘69 is right up there as well. This is fantastic footage and the 1969 8mm home movie film of The King’s triumphant return to live performances in Las Vegas in the summer of 1969 is just plain scarce. There’s no MGM movie film, like 1970, and it’s wonderful to see gems like this!

@@METEBUYURAN hello! No it's just a question. If you have a copy of "Elvis that's the way it is" that makes sense but that was 1970. But if you have genuine footage from 1969, that's pretty rare. The two rarest years of Elvis concert footage is 69 and 71. Thank you

I like the simplicity of Elvis's stage costume here, The two piece suite is really stylish and understated and i would have loved to have seen Elvis get back to basics instead of the increasingly over the top jumpsuits particularly on a world tour,

- - - - absolute best use of other footage to fill that time gap. BUT I'd offer up, taking these fragments (esp my favorite period 1969) would be so great to insert AI for the missing parts. So you'd have real & AI interspersed to create whole songs from bits & pieces.

Incredible to think that only four years later he will be performing this song in the Aloha Show and the two versions cannot be compared, 69 being the peak and 73 being the weakest show ever done, unfortunately the 69 shows have not been filmed while the 73 weak shows have..
