    Just got one, undervolt CPU voltage by 0.05 in bios to reduce temps by roughly 10 Celsius at zero performance cost. It's a beast.

      What's the BIOS option and the offset value for the CPU voltage?

    • @VelociRapT0M

      @@Thyder VDDCR CPU Voltage. Set offset mode to negative and enter a value of 0.05. Set the FCLK Frequency to 1800mhz. Disable clock spread spectrum. And enable Soc/ Uncore OC mode. Disable any 'performance bias' mode your motherboard may have. You should be stable with these settings, and see slightly higher clock speeds with a nice double digit temperature reduction. This is how I'm running mine currently.

      5800x3d ryzen 7 gen 4 still kills the series x the fps gain for ddr is like 20fps improve for £2000k build
      Is 20fps worth the extra £200 spent on for ddr5 gen 5 system and its a pcie 4.0 system so you have gen5 to upgrade when it gets cheaper amd so on no point upgrading until pcie 5.0 comes out while they are still making pcie 4.0 gpus stick to gen 4 for as long as possible then upgrade to gen 5 and faster nvme 7300 nvmes are still fast enough gen 4
      All the performance even with 4600hz maxed ram 32gb 4th gen 5800x3d cheap motherboard if all your doing is gaming
      Total cost is £1800 vs £2000 for 5th gen hardware is 5th gen really worth upgrading to when that same gen 5 could be had for the same price when gen 6 comes out and gen 7 and 8
      Untill pcie 5.0 graphics cards come out

    • @jonathanoxlade4252
      @jonathanoxlade4252 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      With pcie 5.0 coming out gen 5 is like slap in a face don't buy it don't waste money on it get a 4090 and be happy with it because when pcie 5 comes along you will have to upgrade again
      Spend less on a gaming pc now because the gpus after 4.0 will mean you will need to upgrade but a 4090 will still slap the ahit out of the series x for a long time lol

      @45eno หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope wrong. If you shop for good deals you can easily jump from AM4 to AM5 for $100 or less.
      Currently today I have three B650 Aorus Elite AX boards arriving that I paid $80 plus tax each for. I will sell my three x570s boards for at least $100. Sell off my 5700x/5800x and 32gb of basic 3200mhz ram. Buy a new $175 7600x and 32gb of upper shelf DDR5 for $80-100 and I’m sitting at about $100-120 upgrade cost for the first one.
      The next two systems I will wait for 9000 to release and the used market to have a bunch of 7600-7700x for about $150.
      I’m only upgrading these perfectly good AM4 systems because how low my AM5 prices are and how much I can get rid of AM4 for.
      My last two upgrades will be about $50 each for my AM4 x570s/5800x to b650/7600x. Small upgrade by some measures but still on new socket with much better single core performance.
      If it was $900 to upgrade or even $200 to upgrade I would have stayed with AM4 as well. But if you know how to find deals and sell off older hardware than you spend very very little. The key is to buy low , sell high and don’t let your current hardware age too much. Which is why I am selling 5800x/x570s while there is still a great market for them.

    Ok new viewers this video is a year old. July 2024 next to no one should buy a 5800x3D at current pricing. 5700x3D is certainly a better value for those that insist on sticking to AM4.
    The best value is the 7500F at $120-135 as it performs on average as well as the 5800x3D. But you have to risk aliexpress which I won’t do.
    7600/7600x at $175 is still better than sticking with AM4.
    If you know how to swap out hardware then sell off your old AM4 while there is still a good market. Find a budget b650 board , $80 kit of DDR5 32gb and a $175 7600x which is on average faster than the 5800x3D.

      If you also do your work on your computer besides gaming 5950x is still a beast
      If you care only about gaming performance 5800x3d is nobrainer

    I'm still rocking an 1800x at 4.1ghz since day 1 barely hits 45c if ever. I upgraded to a 3800x when they came out and my performance increase was not even noticeable but temps were about 20-25c higher so I sent the 3800x back. I'm trying to figure out if the 5800x3d is finally worth the upgrade. My Crosshair Hero VI is still a solid mobo and I've already got 64gb of ram I don't really wanna have to get a new mobo and ram just for a new CPU. Thoughts?

      I switched from a Ryzen 5 3600 to this cpu today. Ik it’s sad, but I downloaded Fortnite (just to see my frames). I went from a solid 80-90 frames to 200-400 frames

      @@f_g7304 interesting. I think ill go for it. Was deciding on just a cpu upgrade or a full new build. But 5 year PC life expectancy is 15 years ago. They can last so much longer today

      With that much money on a mobo, yeah get the best possible cpu for it. 5800x3d or a 5900x if you need the extra cores. That would last you 4-5 years and make your mobo worth every penny.

      Waste of money. The 5900x is 60 bucks less and the same preformance and the 7600 is 110 less for 10% more preformance. If youre doing a fresh build go AM5 with the 7600

    Yes, 5800X3D is amazing if you are already on AM4. But with the leaks coming out about the next Zen series IPC improvements, no way would I choose to build a new system on AM4 now, regardless of this price.

      Generally speaking, a high end air cooler will perform on par with a 240mm AIO cooler.
      360-420mm outperform air coolers with ease.

      Those are massive non standard liquid coolers that dont fit in most cases. Air coolers preform on par with 280mm and some 360mm liquid coolers.
