Really useful info. Im surprised music artists dont need a publisher. Every album cover Ive seen since the 70s (Im that old) listed a music publisher. In the age of streaming I dont see the need to have a record company or manager anymore, all publicity and distribution can be done by the band/artist online. You should have covered touring. Ive heard that bands/artists lose a lot of money to managers and promoters taking a very large percentage of the net from what they get from a venue. Again, there is no need for managers/promoters, the band can book and promote themselves. Its not like the old days when bands/artists sold millions of records and could lose money on a tour. Now artists make most their money touring so there is no reason to pay a big percentage to managers.
