    Always a good idea to have a good compass and topographic map in the Wind Rivers. I've seen snow deep enough to cover blazes just above Sheep's Bridge in mid July and had to dead reckon into the Stough Basin. Never would have happened without a map and compass. Appreciate seeing familiar country again.

      Yes, carrying a map and compass is a must whenever you’re out in the wilderness.

    Really been enjoying watching all these Wind River videos on TH-cam. My neighbor is a retired forest employee and he and his team would spend a week at a time up there surveying back in early 80’s and he was telling me stories about it. That’s what got my interest to research it. Do you ever see any bears out there or see signs of mountain lions? Great video by the way. ❤

      Thank you! No, we only saw marmots, birds and a porcupine. It was hard, but incredibly beautiful!
