  • Hello my Friends! 💫🌹 This is a fun little technique to learn…pulling dots into different shapes. I call this particular pattern the Royal Cross. I just think it looks so regal and fancy! 😂🌟 Keep in mind that when I’m pulling on the glass my flame can look bigger because I’m using a larger torch…It’s the Hellcat from Carlisle Machine Works. If you have a smaller or different type of torch, adjust your flame accordingly to spot heat different areas that you want to pull from. 💫
    I hope you all enjoy this one! It’s a beautiful design and easy to achieve!🌹
    Thanks so much for joining me!
    ✨Cheers to you all - Robin 🌹🌹🌹

    Hi Robin, I hope both you and Patrick are ok. I also hope it’s not too hot where you are and it’s comfortable to work down in the dungeon on your torch. Are both you and Patrick both keeping yourselves busy with things you both like/love doing. How was your long 4th of July weekend, did you partake in the celebrations that were going on across America?. I love this bead by the way. It’s a type of bead I’ve thought of doing, but not done. I had a slight different thoughts on it. But the way you have done it is truly stunning. I love the way the dots look really raised even tho you flatten them and melted them in. Also using glass to rake is a brilliant idea I would have used a pick instead but that’s me but you have many more years of experience with glass than me. But I so truly love this bead and watching you work, I wish I could watch you work at proper speed. Have you ever thought of doing lives and making beads on camera while talking to people with people sending messages and you just talking to them on mic and answer their questions? I’m sure so many people would watch, I know I would. You could duel stream on here and Kick. Think about it my friend. Say hi to Patrick for me please. Stay safe and look after yourself ❤️ 🌹

      Hi Kelly! 🌹👋🏽 Glad you enjoyed this one! I have never been good using the pick to rake with…I have much better luck with the glass. It’s been very humid and warm here….yuck! I love cool weather and can’t wait for autumn! We had a good 4th of July weekend…I was trying to flamework but the mandrel kept slipped in my sweaty hands. Today is not as bad so I hope to play around a bit this evening. So far nothing to share for this weekend 😞. I have thought about doing live demos but it get anxiety just thinking about it. Maybe at some point I’ll give it a try….we’ll see. 😂
      I think I will put some demos out on regular speed though…a few others have asked about it as well.
      I like to speed them up because most people have short attention span and cannot even get through five minutes of a demo….we see it in the analytics. But that aside…I will make some in real time!✨
      Hoping all is well with you and you’re having a good week. ✨✨✨ Patrick says hello! 🤗
      Cheers my friend - Robin🌈💫🌹🌹🌹

    How fun ❤. Dots are such a good way to get warmed up before going to a more complicated project. Does that uranium yellow glow in the dark? Looks like it should 😂. Hope you're staying cool and dry. Toodles L

      Hi Linda! 🌈🌹 You’re right…This is a great warm up piece. Dot application can be so soothing! Unfortunately the Uranium Yellow does not glow in the dark…I just checked! ✨ The highs here have been in the upper 80’s….(not horrible)😂. I’m glad it stays fairly cool in the dungeon! Hope you are well! 🌹🌹 Cheers- Robin 🙏🏽💫✨

    One of my first beads...after getting a feel of the viscosity of multen glass...and from your vid was the Waring bead. Is there som variation of that you can show? I absolutely love all of your Scottwod Research Research videos! So thankful of all the time and work you put in to all of us!! ❤❤❤
    Right now in life I accidentely bought a tiny..TINY..cabin that need a lot of attention this short summer i Sundsvall. Longing for autom and my little baby burner "Madam" 😂😂❤

      Hi Susanne! ✨🌹 I love the Warring States beads…they are fascinating. I am happy to share another variation of it! It might take a few weeks…but I put it on my list! 🤗 We are excited to hear about your tiny cabin!…how cool is that! I am looking up photos of Sundsvall….its sooo beautiful!!! 🌹
      Congrats on that!! I too am looking forward to autumn…the best flameworking weather!

    I am binge watching all your videos and making progress. Yesterday my bead release cracked and was so frustrating. Please remind me what bead release you like? And what is the secret of not melting fine thin mandrels 😂

    • @scottwoodresearch
      @scottwoodresearch  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hello Mirela! ✨🌹 I’m so glad to hear that you have been enjoying the demos and that they have been helpful! 🤗 My favorite bead release is Foster Fire Smooth and Tuff bead release…you can get it from Frantz Art Glass online. It is by far the best I have found! But it can still crack if your mixture is too thin. 💫 About not melting the mandrel…. It depends on what it is made of. The only reason a mandrel would melt is from being too hot. A smaller flame and less heat on the wire can help.
      I hope this helps!! 🌹✨🌹Thanks so much for reaching out! ✨✨✨Cheers- Robin 👋🏽🌈🤗

      @@scottwoodresearch thank you! Yes I was trying yesterday to make multiple spacer beads but a very thin steel mandrel, didn't look for a second and it just cut like glass .. ordering that! Truly thank you immensely for all the incredible content and your sweet fast response

    Love that green Robyn . What’s it called? Is the Uranium UV reactive like the old uranium glass?

    • @scottwoodresearch
      @scottwoodresearch  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Todd! 🤗🌹 The color is called Yellow Uranium Pastel #591265…it is gorgeous! However it does not react under UV light. I need to get some more as I quickly used the little that I bought. 😂
      Glad you enjoyed! 👋🏽 Cheers- Robin 🌈🌹🌹🌹
