Indeed. They’ll be playing two regular season games against the Cubs in Tokyo on March 18th & 19th. That gives them some added breathing room for this project to wrap up before the home opener against the Tigers on March 27th. I think we’ll start to see more of this in globally lucrative leagues (e.g., English Premier League) in the immediate future.
Looks like they're taking a lot away from foul ball territory which means a little bit less of a pitchers park. With Dodgers pitching prowess, this is a bit of a downer for me as pitching has always been our forte.
Yes, as the OF stated you will not be able to tell any work was done and it will look just like it did before this work started as the construction you see in this video will be underground level. FYI - foul territory from behind home plate and all the way to both foul poles was originally far greater in area than what existed last season. I don’t remember what year it was, but the section of seats closest to the field was added all around from foul pole to foul pole making foul territory much smaller in area than it originally was. It was even more of a pitcher’s park back in that era than it has been since those changes were made. If you watch a video of, say, the 1981 World Series, you can see what the foul area used to look like.

Do the Dodgers actually open the season in Japan in 2025?

What are they building?
Clubhouse renovations for the home and away facilities. More info can be found in the video description.
ハローIf this construction is to build a new bullpen, what will happen to the old bullpen?
@@toshiaki.i5278 The bullpens will remain where they are. Most of these clubhouse amenities will be things like weight room, locker room, etc…
@@VSkyMedia I see, thank you for telling me the truth.
Eventually there will be a little city under the right field power alley

これがブルペンだったら、大谷がリリーフになった時に、2投流が楽になりますね。

They’re lucky this isn’t a wet year.
For sure. Would’ve been a SoFi level debacle if it wasn’t a La Niña winter.

It will be like nothing ever happened once it’s completed. Everything you see with be covered up come start of the season.
