But, your ability to talk about 3d software/modeling/animation is so easy to understand that it made me interested to learn more within 3D art. Hey, thank you for the support!! I appreciate it. My career so far has been remote, except for one internship early on in a Boston studio called Planet Nutshell. (Great guys!) I flew in a few times for meetings and get-togethers, but otherwise I worked from home entirely. Part of that is because some of it has been freelance (which is almost always remote) and some of it was because of the pandemic. Honestly the career climbing comes naturally as you either change jobs, or be willing to take on responsibilities you weren't assigned but are capable of doing. It's difficult to put it down to a science, but if you are happy where you work and feel like it'd be worth it, try to be as self-motivated as possible and willing to arise to challenges. Don't put yourself in harms way for a job, i.e. don't crunch if you don't have to, it's just a job at the end of the day, but be willing to say "I can do that" if someone says they have an issue you know how to fix. I went a few years where I didn't really work on any personal projects, and I think that was because those jobs were very taxing and took a lot of my energy, like you said. My last job, however, was fulfilling enough to make it work, so the end of the day left me with enough energy to work on my own stuff again! (That said, I still sacrificed almost all of my free time for Doodley, so just watch out for that.) 2.) They seem legit. long time since i watched a video this long without skipping, ur truly talented in soooo many ways. the pacing of this video itself, and how you made me locked in impresses me.
10:15 Your answer is exactly what I experienced when I found your channel and watched your videos! I'm a huge fan of animation, and understanding animation fundamentals has greatly increased my appreciation and enjoyment of animation. It also allows me to identify what I don't like when I see an animation that feels "off"
Good Luck with full timing Doodley! Though unfortunate to hear you were laid off, there is alot of potential here so you'll be fine. Congratulations on 200k~!

4:47 BRO I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE IN THAT PROJECT! The fact that you made that one part in the Karate Man reanimation shows how you are good in 3D animation, the way the man just flies to the sky with the perfect medal on his hand is so satisfying and gives you a vibe of "You won!" so hard.
I tried Blender a long time ago. Used it to fix character models that were exported from console games. Fixed a few Ratchet and Clank models and then imported them into VRChat. Turned out great! However, I lost touch with Blender and that was the only thing I did with it. Anyway, extraordinary content by you! Never fails to amaze me. Road to 500k! 🎉

On the topic of unexpected rabbit holes, here I am after your stop-motion short. I have a casual interest in animation, and your content strikes a good balance of being accessible and technical. Your chill demeanor compliments it very well!

4:20 Average Carrefour low cost baguette. More seriously tho, your channel's nice and your tutorials are inspiring for a complete absolute noob in animation, or art in general, like me. I'm not really a creative type, but animation's always fascinated me. One day, I'd like to create some dumb minecraft animation series or perhaps AMVs to upload online as a hobby. Nothing much, but I gotta get into Blender for that. ^^'

i honestly love the simplity of all these animations specially gimberly her aperance alone really makes me feel like she whould break the fourth wall to make jokes. kinda like deadpool but without the edginess
11:10 where you talked about teaching people stuff they wouldn't normally be interested in - yep, that's why I'm here! Your videos are interesting and entertaining enough that although I'm not massively interested in learning 3d animation myself, its fun to learn and see the process. It helps me appreciate the art behind not just animated shows and movies, but other TH-cam videos that feature animated characters. I've been on the fence of learning 2d pixel art animation for a few projects I have in mind, and your videos have helped give me the motivation, even though its a bit of a different medium to 3d
Very good to hear, thank you! Improving respect and knowledge of the medium in non animators is exactly what I hope to achieve. And good luck on your pixel art adventures! Many animation principles apply to all mediums, including pixel.
just want to say, a big thank YOU for your videos, because getting more people involved with animation, or even just coming to learn about it, understand the process and come to appreciate the medium is fantastic, and i feel your vids do a fantastic job at that! looking forward to more of your work!

Congrats on your 200K bro! All the best for u.The good thing is that Gimberly got her voice, and it's so good. I really admire your content, it's really good, you're a different kind of animator

Congrats on 200k!!! That's a milestone that you should be proud of. :D
I've never really been interested in animation, but watching your videos gives me this new kind of entertainment. It makes me look back on old movies that I watched and think, "Oh, so that's how they do that!" Here's hoping the best for you and your channel.
Congrats on 200K! Thanks for making animation techniques more mainstream!
I just love how doodley looks similar to you irl. I like his simple design in general. makes it easier to focus.
Thanks for you amazing work!
As a junior game dev / team lead, these videos have helped me immensely with getting a better understanding of what goes into the work of the people I work with.
It helps a lot when assigning tasks and such.
Keep up the great work!

also congrats on reaching 200k, you deserve even more
Aspiradora56: hey you're the guy who posted like 8 different entries on the rhythm heaven reanimated project right?

AH!!! DON'T LOOK (love your stuff!!! ty for having such a cute character, the plush is so nice, it's goals for a doodley/gimberly plush, hahaha)

I may be a crummy cut out animator but you content has helped me lots,so im truly grateful!
I curently go to university and your videos helped me pull through my classes, I will always be thankful. You're even on my inspiration list that I have of animators!
That's awesome, thank you!!
Thank you for your great channel!
I wish you all the best! 👍
long time since i watched a video this long without skipping, ur truly talented in soooo many ways. the pacing of this video itself, and how you made me locked in impresses me.
I'm the guy who liked ur comment btw

Your answer is exactly what I experienced when I found your channel and watched your videos! I'm a huge fan of animation, and understanding animation fundamentals has greatly increased my appreciation and enjoyment of animation. It also allows me to identify what I don't like when I see an animation that feels "off"
That's awesome, good to hear it! Thanks!
congrats on 200K broski! the line "its good to be ambitious but don't let is stop you entirely" hit me where I live.
Good Luck with full timing Doodley! Though unfortunate to hear you were laid off, there is alot of potential here so you'll be fine. Congratulations on 200k~!
I know I’m a bit late but dude I just am blown away by your commentary, there is just something so perfect with how you talk and explain things, it doesn’t feel dragged out but it also feels like it explains everything in the perfect amount of time, keep up the great work!

BRO I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE IN THAT PROJECT!
The fact that you made that one part in the Karate Man reanimation shows how you are good in 3D animation, the way the man just flies to the sky with the perfect medal on his hand is so satisfying and gives you a vibe of "You won!" so hard.
I love the inclusion of both Gimberly and Gimby on the thumbnail.
She just kinda fit there! Without something there it felt empty.
Gimby is gimberly’s evil forgotten sister
I tried Blender a long time ago. Used it to fix character models that were exported from console games.
Fixed a few Ratchet and Clank models and then imported them into VRChat.
Turned out great! However, I lost touch with Blender and that was the only thing I did with it.
Anyway, extraordinary content by you! Never fails to amaze me. Road to 500k! 🎉
Very cool, you sure do make some amazing tutorials as there are both very entertaining and informative. Keep up the beautiful work and great job for 200k subs
On the topic of unexpected rabbit holes, here I am after your stop-motion short. I have a casual interest in animation, and your content strikes a good balance of being accessible and technical. Your chill demeanor compliments it very well!
i love watching your content, growing up i so terribly want to be apart of things like animation whether that come to movies, shows, or even my own self indulgent things. i appreciate being able to listen to someone who has more experience than i do, happy to hear you hit 200k+!! keep up the good work 🫶🏽🫶🏽
11:56 There's a guy on TH-cam, Mr. Illustrated (Formerly SCP Illustrated, but he's dipping into more horror niches), and he does this a lot. His art is top notch quality, and he does this in his more modern videos. Very cool to see, I definitely recommend this channel if you want a great example of this in action.
0:40 Ah yes, I been animation since I could talk! *Sr Pelo noises.*
Also, this helps a lot with my dream job of animation, but I'm going 2d instead, but I love learning about both types of animation. :3

It great to see how well your channel is doing even though i only found you channel a few weeks back Congrats
I’m not an animator but my brain loves learning new things and this channel and you definitely do a wonderful job of expressing and communicating things that’s very digestible. Plus you definitely hit the points of entertaining to watch and easy to get like you mentioned. Anywho I can’t wait to see y’a grow and do awesome my dude! Much support
I wasn't able to identify ALL of your anime figures in the background of 12:54 , as the camera was a bit fuzzy, no offense! But the ones I did manage to figure out were: the big Jotaro figure, Trish next to Jotaro, Josuke below Jotaro, and I only managed to find Megumin on the top shelf. haha i'm so dumb when it comes to this stuff lul
Can't wait for some more awesome animation videos from Doodley!! :D
No Megumin! You might be mistaking the Muramasa: The Demon Blade and Dragon's Crown figures for that. Thank you!!
Doodley got kicked from the job due to a kickflip
0:33 ...aw... gone as soon as there...
Hahaha, sorry. Her rig doesn't have very good controls for lip syncing. Maybe more in the future though.

Nice! This is really cool and well made, especially at the end. Nice to see people reference Kirby of the Stars.
Wow! So much work is put into these videos! Keep making them! Great job!
12:27 Question: You scrapped any video ideas completely yet? Decided it better to just not make this or that video?
I was going to make a video about the Academy Awards Best Animated Film category, but didn't feel like I had anything much important to say. I did some voices and stuff for it, but scrapped it. Otherwise I've been trucking along with all my video ideas!

I just started watching your videos in my bed scrolling through shorts a day ago, I really respect you and your work and it makes me want to do animation since I like to draw a lot. Maybe if I get better at 2D animation I can try 3D! Also congrats of road to 500k!
Definitely keep doing what you do, I just recently started actually working on animations practicing them even though I’ve wanted to actually do it for a really long time, I just felt it was inaccessible. Your videos are super helpful and really interesting and fun.
You made Maplewood and those entries for Rhythm Heaven Reanimated??????? THAT'S ACTUALLY SO COOL I loved all of them so much
4:44
We did it lads.
We are in video.
Also holy cow that is really cool! Honestly you shouldve lol
Thank you for your question!
All of you amazing advice is pretty much fitting for any creative process out there. Thank you very much ❤
Your videos are the kind of videos i rewatch like 2 to 3 times in the span of a week, and everytime i do i end up learning something new, keep up the great work. :]
Gimberly having an existential crisis at around 9:48 was kinda funny.
I thank the TH-cam algorithm for recommending this channel! Been a blast watching your shorts and videos
0:10 "it's a little bit more than that now" (glances at doodley's now 500k subs)
I am learning so much about what you actually worked on before the channel. Like you actually worked on rhythm heaven reanimated three times.
Congrats for the 200k mate! Awesome stuff.
i honestly love the simplity of all these animations specially gimberly her aperance alone really makes me feel like she whould break the fourth wall to make jokes. kinda like deadpool but without the edginess
