Hiking to the highest point in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve | Simon Says

  • New year, same old me. Today, I'm fixing to climb Singapore's highest point in all of Singapore @Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. It sounds epic, and it is - but not because of the elevation (194 meters) or the stairs along the path (3 zillions by my count). It's epic because of the scenery, and the effort it takes in equatorial weather. Loved every bit of it, and I just want more, more, MORE!

Just went there today and it was really crowded, but as soon as you head further out towards dairy farm after the submit, the crowd dies down, and it was such a great way to start my Sunday, loved your video❤️

Yeah, folks don’t seem to care too much for the infinite staircases on the way to dairy farm park... Again, sparing a thought to the people who actually built those staircases!!

Bro..I like the your appreciation comment about the stairs that were built for this climb☝.. a good reminder too to all climbers n exploring board walks..etc around the island park works ..which takes hard labour work under very hot n humid conditions to painstakingly set it up n construct them. Glad u enjoy ed yr climb.🤛😅

I’m 100% self-taught. The only (boring) advice I have is keep at it! Once you feel you got the basics down, try new things - like a gunshot effect through a fence for example! Figure out ways to do things, and the skill ceiling is almost infinite, it seems.
The more I learn, the more I become aware of all the things I still haven’t figured out!

Other than climbing & solitude. Do take time to enjoy the forest diversity of trees, plants, insects, and animals. You need to stop walking to do this. Hope your next trip to Bukit Timah Reserves, you will spent some time to let nature reveal its wonders to you.

I always do - but those parts I keep for myself 😊 Was looking for wild pangolins for a few hours, but alas, no luck this time.

I come to your channel for escape - the image & sounds of a pedestrian being struck in traffic is jarring & disturbing & not funny.

🤷‍♂️ That’s from “Meet Joe Black”, a Brad Pitt / Anthony Hopkins classic. You should check it out - it’s good escapism!.

@@SimonSaysCanada that was a hilarious reference that really crack me up Simon! Love it. Might be nice to meet up for a hike sometime with a fellow hiker with a whacky sense of humour! :)

When can I do something? The function of comment is meant to be "public" but due to vocabulary that is different or different definition dictionary used, it is somehow "forced to be something else", then it's considered that a stupid in tech seems stalking me successfully that the occurences to be displayed to me called as "(a person's) wish" for it and they got to do it(edited version to look original)? Should be that as the only way? If it's enough time to create cages for birds here 1 day, the time of life is actually alot but this proves they never cared of "people can die anytime to not experience life of desire", like "fixing a license" to be Late. Life is actually "over" if occurences is surprising then it had to become a different plan, usage of sleepgas or dormicum that create forgetting the entire day of whatever experience? This proves they don't care. Theres like no man would not be happy of this happening as my life experience, it's still like increasing health?
