Pretty incredible how long some of the species live in Mass Effect. Nakmor Drack is apparently 1,400 years old according to his bio/wiki. This means that (depending on whether or not the 600 years of travel count) he was born in either 785 or 1385 AD. This dude was just growing up all the way back during the rule of Charlemagne, the height of the Mayan civilization, and the Siege of Constantinople.
So what the hell is their age limit? In body during cryo, age doesn't count but technically, yeah add the 600 years, making him the oldest Krogan to date?
I doubt that many (if any) Krogan have ever just died of old age, at least since the time that advanced Krogan civilization effectively collapsed (basically their equivalent of the Roman Empire's decline).
A Krogan Grandfather... Why is that concept so odd to me? I mean out of all the races in Mass Effect, the Asari and Krogan are the most likely to have Grandchildren. Hell it's possible for them to have great-great-great-great grandchildren in their life times.
On the contrary, I would think that Krogan would actually be more attentive/loving parents due to the genophage. The only real example that comes to mind is that one npc Krogan guard on Tuchunka in Mass Effect 2. His only purpose is to add some atmosphere to the game. You can listen in on the conversation that he's having with his buddy, I believe that it's triggered in sequences just by walking by between missions. He basically learns that he is a father when he sees his son on a trip to the female camp, and you can really hear his excitement and how he wants to go and spend time with him. I think the outcome is left ambiguous since you leave the planet before then, but it's once of those nice world building events that makes Mass Effect feel like such a fleshed out universe.
Regis Lucis Caelum CXIII the top of his head is even a mix of both of them. Wrex has a plate, Grunt has "spines" on top of his head, Drax has a plate with spines on it
Not quite. His bio says he's been "doing his thing for *over* 1400 years" www.masseffect.com/news/nakmor-drack Drack would first have to be born and reach a certain age before he started "doing his thing". That's why I suggested he might be old enough to actually be part of the rebellions. Not to mention he's sometimes referred to as a "Veteran". As in "War Veteran" possibly?
I believe he is, my Mass Effect lore is a little rusty but if I'm remembering right the Rebellions occurred roughly 1'300 years before the start of the first Mass Effect; since Drack is 1'400, give or take, if I'm remembering the timeline right he would've been a 'young man' during the Rebellions, so there's a fair chance he fought in them.
Actually you're not. In Mass Effect 3, Wrex gives us an exact date for the end of the rebellions when he says how long the Genophage has been in effect. "One thousand four hundred and seventy-six years, if we're keeping track" That was in 2186, which means that the Genophage was released in 710 CE by human measurements, and of course it means the rebellions ended a little over 1400 years ago in the ME timeline.
3:12 If they were working together, I think Drack and Javik would get along nicely, throwing geth out of airlocks, and then some. "Ass" in assistant, still cracking up over that one.
Zaeed is awesome. He's got methods that even make Krogan fear him and he is always more than happy to validate. Jacob is more like someone like a run of the mill type soldier. I mean he can keep people alive if you use him as a fireteam leader on the Suicide Mission on ME2, but a kind of bland backstory if you ask me and I have played the out right hell of the Mass Effect Trilogy to where I learned how to tinker with mods on the 360 version.
I gotta say, the animations aren't great, but the details and textures are amazing! So is the acting. EDIT: You know, I really like Drack so far. He's like the dad that literally would kill your date with a shotgun. I love him so far!
Despite the plenty of issues MEA had.... there’s also lots of smaller things I like, and a few characters like Drack. He’s honestly in my top 10. The crew banter between him and peebee is hilarious
Damn nice video :D thanks =) Since i dont buy the game i need someone to show me the game untill the price lower to a point were its worth buying... Like 10€ or less?
Yeah definitely but get ea access first then the standard version of the game and then cancel the sub to save like $10. The other versions don't give you anything but cosmetics
Hairy Wolf it would appear most of the other clans stayed in the Milky Way, and the Blood Pack are merc assholes filled with more Vorcha then Krogan. None of that would fit on the Nexus
That static back and forth camera Over her shoulder when he's talking Over his shoulder when she's talking Every once in while lets mix it up with a close up (terrible idea with those lifeless eyes) The cinematography is so boring compared to Mass Effect 2 and 3
Every time I see Drack I love him more and more. He's not Wrex or Grunt and that's exactly why I love him, he's a Krogan alright but he's different
i think he is older than wrex
Wrex was our crazy headbutting uncle, Grunt was our precious teenage son, and now we have lovable grandpa Drack.
dominic marino heading out to rewatch Grunt's heroic fall into the pool)
Who's with me?!
WE LOVE YOU, GRUNT!
Damn, Papa Drack is over a thousand years old... Jeez. It's funny thinking back to what we were doing a thousand years ago.

Farknight117 if you add it then he's 2000
Dok Life So yeah, oldest living Krogan to date

"Back in my day we started our OWN rebellions!" Whatever you say great-great-great-grandfather.... -.-!

I remember that, it was sad. He talks about how he wanted to play ball with him, or talk to him, but he was scared.
He kinda reminds of Wrex and Grunt in one. The experience and wisdom of Wrex and the violence and humor of Grunt.
Regis Lucis Caelum CXIII the top of his head is even a mix of both of them.
Wrex has a plate, Grunt has "spines" on top of his head, Drax has a plate with spines on it
Lets not forget that sick ass spike goatee he's rocking
Grunt's headplate isn't fully fused yet
jesus hes so old he looks like hes fossilizing while hes still alive o.0
Gotta love that thousand year life span :3
The "ass" in "assistant director"
- Cracks me up everytime I hear this part HAHAHAHA!
I suspect Drack might actually be old enough to have fought in the Krogan rebellions. Would be interesting to see if he has anything to say about it.
Pyro Gear he's 1400 years old and is just old enough to have witnessed the end of the rebellions so talks with him are gonna be interesting indeed
Not quite. His bio says he's been "doing his thing for *over* 1400 years"

+Pyro Gear True, though it doesn't take all that long for krogan to mature into adults.

Space grandpa

Granddaughter.... but I'm going to be your new favorite right? 😐
Drack=best grandpa
Drack is now my new favorite Krogan. Shhh don't tell Wrex!!!
biowarelover blasphemy !
I honestly like drack the most out of all the crew members so far hes just a griseld old man who has seen plenty but still just wants to fight
Put him in the airlock. Javik would be so proud :')
You're calling him grandpa? At least he's supposed to be that old......
Im starting to like Drack
He seems like a reasonable Krogan
honestly all the companions look awesome. I dont have a problem with any of them, hopefully none of them come out flat like zareed or Jacob
King Merck Zaeed wasn't flat.
MonsieurNothing eeehh, i just didnt like him
King Merck how dare you sir !
Zaeed is awesome. He's got methods that even make Krogan fear him and he is always more than happy to validate.

TheCherroes how DARE u talk about my Turian love like that XD
Grunt + Wrex + Zaeed armor for krogan with bones = Drack
I gotta say, the animations aren't great, but the details and textures are amazing! So is the acting.
EDIT: You know, I really like Drack so far. He's like the dad that literally would kill your date with a shotgun. I love him so far!
2:16 Me when Drack said Spendor was playing the Krogan: “Oh boy here I go renegade again!”
The more I got to know Drack the more scared I got of him falling apart. He's incredibly fragile for a Krogan, which is odd.
can't wait to play this
Ok, I kind of like this guy.
Also I still think Krogen look a bit like turtles.
Despite the plenty of issues MEA had.... there’s also lots of smaller things I like, and a few characters like Drack. He’s honestly in my top 10. The crew banter between him and peebee is hilarious
Drack, Ryder
Old Man Drack
I love krogans.
So far my favorite characters are Vetra, Kesh, and Drack :D
Bye Bye Cora and random guy with funny hair cut.
THATS my kind of guy
your Ryder looks pretty C:
A krogan farm sounds fascinating. But something tells me Spendor will be the arc villain of Drack's loyalty mission.
Damn nice video :D thanks =) Since i dont buy the game i need someone to show me the game untill the price lower to a point were its worth buying... Like 10€ or less?
Wrex is 800 years old
But Drack is 2000 years old damn i though krogan live only 1000 years
Custom Shepard they're like Lobster's, biologically immortal until something kills them
Is it worth buying it? short on cash si may lose something to be able to buy it.
goty?
Yeah definitely but get ea access first then the standard version of the game and then cancel the sub to save like $10. The other versions don't give you anything but cosmetics
*Goes to look up Drack x Ryder smutty fanfiction...comes back disappointed*
Is he a romance option tho
what do you think of the game so far fluffy
I like him :)
where and how did you get that outfit?
drack kinda sounds like john goodman lol
what happened to the blood pack and Wrex clan
Hairy Wolf it would appear most of the other clans stayed in the Milky Way, and the Blood Pack are merc assholes filled with more Vorcha then Krogan. None of that would fit on the Nexus
I'm pretty sure that drack is the only krogan with spikes sticking out his jaw
Any particular reason why?
Does anyone remember kaidan ?
who?
What the hell is a Kaiden?
Neko Lord Nito i dont know but it sounds weak and boring
No but it sounds like Yamcha, disappointing.
TheRedFoxization oh wow that's too low man xD at least Kaiden is useful but still boring
"And a really hard head"
Take me already!!!! Give it to me as hard as you like! I love you Papi!
why are their eyes always wandering
Lkcdar Zadix facial animations are all fucked. Hopefully they fix it
That static back and forth camera
Over her shoulder when he's talking
Over his shoulder when she's talking
Every once in while lets mix it up with a close up (terrible idea with those lifeless eyes)
The cinematography is so boring compared to Mass Effect 2 and 3
it's the exact same though. that's always been how it was when talking with people.
MrMeddyman ......really
Damn,. maybe leave the "Upload video" button alone for a while?, no offense just sayin'
